    I'm back !!!! Got back last night around 8:30 ish - I am beat and this is going to be quick cuz I'm at work and gotta go thru 100 emails still. I see you guys have been supporting each other very well while I was gone.. Lori - congrats on your 1st pb - it was most likey the food - eating too fast and the coke really didn't help:lol: - I know the 1st time I got stuck thought that Water would make it go down - nope it make it worse... Cathy - What are you eating - what's your exercise.. I don't think it matter what band you have - how's your restictrion... Phyl is a Lucky #7 too :thumbup: she is now on her way to Buffalo to meet with her Sisters..     Hey Bella Sorry for the delay in getting back to you but I just returned from a short vacation meeting my July 07 band gang.. I guess I did core plan - I learned WW while they still did exchanges - but basically - it was meat 1st then veggie (and if still hungry extra veggies) and limited starches - and no I didn't really allow extra for my exercise - I wanted the weight off - I got it off pretty fast and now I will have to learn how to maintain... This I will do by adding to my diet.. I feel that the band is the tool to help me use all the things I learned in WW into pratice.. I just can't do high Protein - I have to have starches - I just limited them just like in WW - I love my new found engery - I did this for health reasons - but would be lying if I said I wasn't enjoying the new look..     I'M BACCCKKKKKK !!!!!!!!! Good Morning Gang !!!! Oh am I tired!!!!! I got home at around 8:30 last night !!!! We had so much fun !!!! It was so nice meeting everyone in person - It' wasn't ackward at all - it was like we have known each other for years.. We all felt so comfortable with each other.. Though I really wished that we had more time just to visit - we would take off with each other like Sat Morning - Candice & I shopped - the meet everyone for lunch then Sat Afternoon - Linda & I shopped - all had dinner on Sat nite - then came back to hotel and Steph - her Mom - Candice & I were going to go swimming but the pool closed at 10 so we just sat outside and visited with our bottle of wine. Sunday - I pretty much shopped alone in fact was too tired to go and eat with Steph & her Mom - ended up eating my leftovers from Frid & Sat (our rooms had fridge & micro waves). Linda - I don't know if you ended up out shopping me :biggrin2:- I did pretty good after you left on Sunday :thumbs_up: 1 capris - 3 pairs pants (size 2 -4 - 6) all diff styles but love the size 2's - 1 pair navy dress pants - 5 layering lite sweater tops - 1 white blouse - 2 tanks - 1 jacket - 1 suit - 2 dresses - 2 pairs of shoes - Coach handbag - 2 pair of jeans - tights -I am going to hate to see my credit card bill :lost1lbs: Steph her Mom & I went back to mall on Monday morning - but I didn't buy anything :thumbup: as I was shopped out - But both Steph & her Mom bought more stuff from QVC We turned everyone on to QVC & Bodyshapers !!!!! I will up load pic's tonite (hopefully).. I can't wait til our next lucky #7 vacation - gosh I wish we didn't live so far a part Phyl's DH noticed Sunday nite - in fact I don't know if he noticed or that she told him - He was coming back from the pool - I had gone down to the store to get tyenlol for my aching knees & feet - and was on my way back up and Phyl's DH & I were getting in one elevator - Phyl was getting out of the other - and she told him she was going back to them mall about her ears - so I am not really sure if he noticed or she told - we will have to wait and see - she won't have a computer til she get's to her sisters today or tomorrow... Ok I gotta get me butt in gear - well as much as in gear as I am going to get today :thumbup: CBL

    Becky - yep start adding veggies they help - and don't sabotage yourself with the whole 2 lbs a week - cuz if you don't lose that much each week then you are going to be upset which can cause you to revert to your old eating habits - Like I said before - I lost 100 lbs in 11 months - but I didn't lose 2 lbs every week - some weeks just 1/2 lbs - click in my ticker and it will bring up a graph on my weekly weight lose - Beachcomber - We all help each other - it's not just me - it's each of us and our stories and how we handle our struggles... We all learn from each other ... It' just I have been around the block so I can help with that kind of stuff... Kathy - Each day it gets better and yes gas is terrible - it kept me in the hospital and extra night !! Gas X Strips - heating pads and walking... Lori - Sorry to hear that you will have to go back under the knife - but it won't be as bad as your band surgery - remember it's the portsite that hurt the worst - this time no cut like that just the holes... Hugs on that issue and yes if i still had mine *gallbladder) my surgeon would have taken it out too.. and since you know them and trust them it helps calm your fears some. PJ it all depends on your doc - the are all diff - my doc 6 weeks after surgery is when you get your 1st fill - Food - Day one which for me was hospital - clear liquids - when I got home full liquids - includes creamed Soups - yogurt - popcicles - fudgecidles etc. for 10 days - then 10 days mushies then 10 days soft - then regular food... But again it depends on your doc - they all have diff order.. Ok Gang - I gotta finish packing - just wanted to pop in an say bye... Be good - follow band rules - drink your Water - Salsa1877 went camping so she won't be available so ask True or go to the 50 board and see if Denise is around - she will help... Hugs to you all.     Hey Gang - Well what's left for the next few days .... Denise - I don't think you have streched your pouch - do the pouch test and see how that goes - Have then look at it under fluro - that would be covered by your insurance (or where you self pay?) Do you have restriction now??? I will have to ck out that coat you got - 5 pairs of shoe OMG girl you would have to bring 2 suitcases if you were going.. Ruby - Great on the exercise!! That's what I have read go fast for 1 min slow down 1 minute - go fast again ... I will walk fast for 1 song - slow down but bump the incline to 10 - back and forth - Monday trainer had us do diff leg exercises - OMG my butt & legs were killing my yesterday Well, I got my gray covered and now am packing - had one suitcase then decided it wasn't big enought - not for what I am taking heck that would fit in a overnight back- it's for what I may bring back:lol: - I am going to put a note in the bag for security - the reason this bag is so empty is that I am going shopping at the mall of america and need room for my purchase when I come home :smile2: I don't know who's a shopper like me - Candice said she wasn't much of - and not sure about Linda - Steph maybe but dh has her on a budget - Phyl I think she likes to shop.. Me BIG TIME SHOPPER.... But I think you all know that.. Ok gotta go eat - I really need to get to bed early - gotta get up at 2:30 so I can have coffee and in the shower by 3 a.m :ohmy: so that we are out of here by 4:15 and at the airport before 5 my plane leaves at 6:10 a.m. I wish you all were coming with us - Next year Vegas - So make a Jar that says Lucky #7 Vegas Trip and every time you have a $5 bill in your wallet - but them in the jar and by next July you will have enought $$$ saved.     Phyl - It's a lump behind my nipple - not a calcification - but it could be anything I am just being a big baby for some unknown reason... I will be find ... Tomorrow is going to be a "b" cuz I still got stuff on my desk - hair @ 4:30... the bank and home to pack... Kari - Too funny - I might take you up on a little of the sugary crap before the drinks - but doubt I will do to much of either - getting away will be nice.. Ok gotta go see what's to eat - I am hungry... CBL..

    Becky Congrats on you 1.8 lbs - doing super !!! You need to eat more hard Protein foods and cut back on slider foods (musihies that slide right thru the band) Try some eggs for breakfast and you can even have meat if you want - you don't have to do breakfast foods _ I eat garnola 1/4 c (low fat) in a sf yogurt - or oatmeal - sometimes 1/2 sandwich - lunch today was 4 oz fish & 3/4 butternut squash. As long as you are eating heathly food don't worry so much about how much - well with in reason and what you ate to nite wasnt bad-( I would say that before my 1st fill I was eating 1 to 2 cups for dinner) I want to be able to eat at least 1 cup per meal- I think any less isn't really healthy - my doc want you to eat regular foods - Venture out more into regular food you will find that you will stay full longer. As to being hungry - well imho the band doesn't take away all your hunger at least not for me.. Yes you most likely will need a fill when you go - I think we all want one we want to know what restriction feels like - but I will tell you being too tight is the pits... I would rather use my will power than be too tight.. You are doing good - you are eating healthy that's what this is about - learning to eat healthy and smaller portions which you are doing right now - your fill will help but you are makeing the food choices and you are doing good - just try eating more hard protein for breakfast or lunch and see how long it keeps you full..

    I am not completely gone - just very busy - Had my ultra sound this morning on my right booby - there is a 1 cm lump - they don't know what it is - it could be a wart - a cyst - a plugged duct or **** so I go for a biopsy on 8/1 at 8 a.m. I am a little bummed about this... More so than I was last year when I had to get the calcificaations ck'd out - Don't ask me why - but I am a little rattled - so this weekend will be a good thing to keep my mind of of it.. I forgot what I was going to say.. OH Ya - Kari - we will be having cocktails - yes empty calories but this is a vaction too and plus I think I am going to owe Linda a drink - I don't remember what I bet her about - but something where I promissed her a drink - and then Phyl piped in wanting one too... But we won't go crazy... Steph you wii - Don't really think we will be up to it with all the walking at the 4 story mall for 2 days... But if you want to bring it go ahead.. Phone just rang gotta split - will ck back after gym

    Katarian - oh I forgot to look to see if your age is posted - but hecke we are all diff anyway - I have read were some 25 are down for a few week and pple like me 52 when I was banded was back at work day 6 (desk job) some say planes tighten their bands- I was on puddle jumper a few weeks back and had no problems - agian our fickle bands - It all depends on your physical activity and how well you deal with the pain of surgery - port site hurts the longest and that's really a discomfort and last about 2 weeks. Puterlady - you are suppose to take small sips - just tons of them no more guzzling Water ... I am suppose to drink 64 oz of water a day - I don't know how many oz in a half gallon - I drink 4 16oz waters a day.. I use jalepenos in my one pot wonders or elpato sauce - I think I just omitted that cuz some can't take spicy - Yep I thought my one pot wonder was a cleaver name :0) Jill - I am so glad that you are doing well That's really great to hear 18 Lbs - way to go... Yes exercise is hard at first - but just keep pluging along and you will become a gym rat like me I'm not really a gym rat - but I don't hate exercise like I use to... Yep tracking your food is KEY !!!!! We have to learn what a portion is and how many calories are in whatever we are eat.... I truly beleive this helped me in acheiving my goal weight.. Ok gang - I will be gone Friday til Monday going to meet some of my Lucky #7 gang at the Mall of America for a girls weekend (5 of us) and I have been super busy at work and bushed at night so I am sorry for not being here too much this week.. I will ck back tonight and then tomorrow night before I go... If you have any questions that need an immediate answer - you can p.m. my band daughter salsa1877 or ask true2self since she is a long time bander and is back on track :biggrin2: and either one will be able to help you...     Hi Tina - Sorry for the delay in getting back to you - but I was busy at work today and didn't ck in. I would say 3/4 of the package of ground turkey and a small head of cabbage - I really don't measure to much on my one pot wonders - I am using very healthy ingrediant and it will be lunch for at least 5 days (about 1 cup each) so I guesstimate 200 cal per serving.. I eyeball it truly.. If i use chicken - again it's eye ball.. If there is anything else you need just ask - am here for you - this is hard but worth the work..

    Hey Gang see you all have been busy today... I have been busy working :0) so that my desk will be clean by Thursday nite when I leave... Steph I am glad you are able to eat - envy you all who aren't hungry I am hungry all the time... I have restriction - but I am hungry and my fullness doesn't last long.. I was suppose to go to the doc on 7/31 but changed it to 8/6 - I think I need a tweak - but don't know if he will give it to me - I guess it will depend if I gain weight on our little trip.. I just checked and it looks like I have lost maybe 6 lbs since I last saw him at the end of May - I know it's not about losing anymore for me - just maintaining - but like Karri says - it's hard... But again - I don't know if I can say the band has ever taken away my hunger - I think it did a little bit - but lately I do seem to find myself hungry more often... Maybe it's cuz I am tired and work is busy and stress full... This is why I never have kept food at my desk - cuz if it's there I will eat it.. Steph when you find out about the transportation let me know - I remember seeing it on their site - but I just haven't had time to call them - I think it said they had a shuttle from the airport too... If you would ask I would greatly appreciate it.. I am not going to the gym tonite - I am just too tired - I went 4 days in a row Fri - Sat - Sun - Mon - I go again tomorrow.. and I think tomorrow gives me my 15 days for the month... I just need to rest - I went to bed at 9 - but by the time I washed my face and got in bed I wasn't as tired as I was on the couch - and then the stupid phone rang - so I didn't get to sleep until like 10:45 or 11 . Salmon for dinner - gotta go ck my other threads - cbl :seeya:

    Becky Like I always say - we are more alike than we are different - it's just that we think we are alone in our addiction to food but we arent... You did good - except I would suggest hard protein with your dinner - do you like fish??? I am a big fish eater - tonite scallops in a little evoo & butter with garlic over 1/2 c rice and spinach... In fact it's ready and I am beat - been up since 4 and my trainer kicked my butt... so I gotta go eat and get to bed. Be safe in your storm -- Talk to you tomorrow... Hugs

    Hey gang - I am very tired tonite - up at 4 - won't go into that one... Well one word and you will understand "teenager - summer" well that's 2 words but you know what I mean.. Went to the gym - was not my best work out - infact he had us doing more weights and harder stuff.. But my heart wasn't really into it - for the 1st time in 4 months it was sorta chore... I don't like that feeling.. I will be busy at work for the next 3 days trying to get it all done before I leave on Friday - Wish me luck ... Got my Mamo on Wed.. This will put me even more behind - I gotta go get dog food - don't know when - maybe lunch tomorrow.. I wish my plane wasn't leaving at 6 a.m - I gotta be at the airport by 4:45 5 at the latest (thankfully ps airport isn't super busy) so that means leaving the house by 4:15 - so that means up by 3:15 - to say the least I may zonk out early friday - this is why I suggested the 4 days - cuz 3 would not have been enought time when you take travel time into consideration... Ok My dinner is done.... it's 8:17 - I have washed - taken out the trash - clean the kitchen emptied the dish washer - cooked - gym and been up since for 4 ... So I will talk to you all tomorrow...     Lori - I was really good at take my vitamins at first - but I haven't been lately.. Between the gym getting in and out of the machines - my trip to Vegas in the puddle jumper and who knowns what else - I have 2 bruise on my knee - one on my boob that I noticed this morning - don't ask me how I got that - one on my arm.. I took my vitimans last night and will take them tonight - I just don't like the chewables... Baratric advantage does have the kind you swallow - but you gotta take 6 a day - I am not a big pill taker - so 6 in a day would be too much - I want 1 little pill - I don't think I am asking too much :biggrin: I use a little can't beleive it's not butter in my veggies or rice - but mostly the spray - but I cook my fish in Evoo (olive oil) so I do get my fat - Like i said before I could be Paula Dean's & Emeril's sister.... The more fat the better - Well uses to be - but I gotta say I miss it.. Popcorn at the show drowned it in butter/oil that they use - I would get sorta sick from it.. Well now I use the pam butter spray since WW doesn't make theirs anymore...

    Steph I agree with Karri above - I thought I answer this this morning at 5 a.m. but I guess I just read it - and didn't reply and with Ruby below - go back to mushie move to soft but you really don't have alot of time between now and Friday (you get on the Train Friday or Thrusday??) In re-reading right now I would say get some taken out - I know it's a pain but you gotta be able to eat regular food.. JMHO :biggrin: Ruby you are doing excellent !!! Congrats on the scales moving and a smaller bra... Fantastic... Kari - I hate it when I want something but don't know what it is. Going to the store hungry - OH ya bad idea... Congrats Phyl on your 8 lbs in 5 weeks - that's 1.6 lbs a week - you are doing super !!!! Skinnymike - You are in the July 2007 thread and you got to be kidding on what you ate in 40 minutes - What are you going to do when the doc opens you up and your liver is too big and he just closes you up and doesn't band you.. If you do get the band and have to be on the full liquid diet for 2 weeks - are you going to slip and eat and cause your band to slip.. We didn't take our bands as just another diet - we took having major surgery seriously - we wanted to get banded to improve our lives - not as a quick fix - the band isn't going to make your food choices - it's not going to exercise it's only a tool - which if you choose to you can eat around.. I am sorry for being a little curt - but think you need to rethink your upcomming surgery - this isn't a joke !! Being a little hungry isn't going to kill you but being obese is... Good Luck... You are going to need it...

    When I had my last blood test - I was low in the thiaman dept - so found some B's that have it and I can swallow them they are small - now if I could just find small multi vitimans.. Gotta OMW no not for 5 yrs that's just plain ass stupid... Have you though about going to mexico... Yep to have to gain 20 lbs for a short time - yes I could do it too :ohmy:

    Becky your food intake for the day sounds good and nothing wrong with fruit and veggies I consider them all most free food - especially veggies even corn - I know all the diets say to stay away from corn and carrots but heck 1/2 cup of them is better than 1/2 of tatos or Pasta or rice and not as many calories.. If you are hungry eat extra veggies - I have always done that - and for me it works - I also eat those 100 calorie packs of popcorn at night when I need that munch factor.. Also, Becky you have to eat to lose - we equate no eating to losing weight but really you just have to eat healthy (you get more food when you take out all the fats & sugars)... Me personally I have to be able to eat 1 to 1 1/2 cup for dinner - I would die on half a cup of food per meal.. As far as your restriction with your 1st fill - it will depend on how aggressive your doc it - mine is - but my 1st fill only lasted about 2 or 3 weeks and I had to go back for another one. but that 2nd one was my sweet spot.. Tmi subject I had the runs for the first few weeks after surgery - I finally took some imodiom and it stopped.. Lori the hair loss issue - My hair dresser says its the lack of fat in our diets that causes the hair loss - and I seem to beleive her - I have a gf who did just medifast and lost her hair - she got plenty of protein and no surgery so we can't blame that - but when I ask her about the fat issue she said yes she cut it out almost entirely... Keep healthy fats in your diet - I did and was lucky not to lose any... Thankfully cuz I have fine hair to begin with - really can't stand to lose any... I have some chewable calicum that I really like it's not the citrate kind but it's still calcuim - and someone said that their doc said that really it's the bypass pple who need the citracte - I'm not a doc so don't take my word for it and never take my word over your doc -but I am the kind of person who does what works for them.. My biggest problem is with the chewable multi vitimans - I don't care for them and I need to take them more often cuz I a bruising...

    That's sweet - feel 43 instead of 53.... It's a good thing that you have been banded now and not waste anymore years being fat... You are lucky to have this tool to help you now not 28 yrs from now... Good Luck - Do the work and you don't need luck..:ohmy:
