    Phyl Good job on Junking up the thread Phyl !!!!I read earlier - then went to turn on the news after Eva's post - OMG how sad - At least they think she's going to be ok - but 6 dead - how very sad - Prayers for all those families... Great have you been eating anything w/salt - Pick one day and weigh in on that day ONLY .. Deli meat has a lot of salt You are right just keep trucking and it will come off - Yep it's hard to get it off again- A good thing to keep in the back of your mind when you want too many unplanned treats - That's sorta my theory any way ... Eva - I better today... I've gotten the whole house cleaned - vacummed mopped sheets & quilt washed and put back on the bed - took a shower - put on clean jammies and going to head to the couch.. I agree w/you on cleaning the house - but gotta say I feel so much better when I can find stuff - I'm bad about not hanging up my clothes after washing - then I can't find what I want to wear - I have 1 maybe 2 loads to do still... Phyl - Hugs on feeling the loss of your friend - sometimes things hit us like that... Angry Birds - yes play don't eat... That frontier - cityville & farmville for me - I don't eat at the computer - so another reason I am always on it - instead of on the couch - the couch makes me hungry ;0) - Hugs on Mom hope she gets better soon Charlene - besides all that cleaning - I have washed and brushed 3 dogs !!! Trimmed Angle & Bear a little - Now I see why it takes the groomer so long to groom 3 dogs ... Glad DS & GS are sitting w/your Mom - hope she feels better soon.. Well gang I'm hungry - all I have had today is coffee - water - juice - Fish & veggies for dinner - think I'll go have some popcorn and read for a bit - CBL
  2. #1 FOLLOW YOUR DOCTORS ORDERS !!!!! The reason not to eat food is that your stomach is healing - band is sewn to your stomach - you can cause these stitches not to hold... You just had surgery - Just because someone else has a different schedule for each food phase doesn't mean you should follow their advice - they are not doctors - each doc has their own plan - some docs have better results/no complication than others.. Make a pot of Beans - any kind you like - seasoned as you like - then when the beans are done - put them in a blender with a little of the broth - puree them - then add them back to the broth - cream of bean Soup - it's so much better for you and taste better than the canned stuff... You can do damage by eating - Please don't ask pple here to put their stamp of approval on what you are doing - Just cuz someone does the same thing as you doesn't make it right or ok - it's still wrong.. You can do this... This is just the beginning of your journey - follow the rules you will be successful

    Good Morning Peep Guess I'm going to have to call Karla - she hasn't posted.. Hope her computer isn't broke... Hope she's doing ok - sounded fine when I talked to her the other night.. Phyl - Loved that joke !!! Figured you were busy getting back in to your routine ;0)... Dogs lets me sleep to 7 ;0) have a load in the wash - got the kitchen counters cleaned and dishwasher loaded - need to change sheets - wash - vacuum and dust - since Andrew got the 2nd job - I haven't had a maid ;0). \ Candice hope you are having a great time and good weather...     Good Morning Gang.. My Fur babies are letting me sleep later - I think we went to bed at 11 and they made me get up at 7 !!! I'm taking a multi vitiman - b12 - calcuim I figure it just needs to get in my system, the skin under my rings are turning green - like my jewel is fake (it's not;) but I know when I drink a lot of oj that happens - so I know the vit c in working its self out of my body that it causes my rings to turn my skin green- Laura how long does it take?? Feel pretty good this morning.. Apples - Safe travels today... Ck in when you can... Linda - OMG she has another kid - who has that child... How freaking sad.... Drugs were the reason I ended up w/Andrew but I was younger and he was older.. Drug are just the worst thing they are destroying so many young pple now a days.. Well all we can do is pray.. It's out of our control and that's hard to deal with expecially when we all are such control freaks and it's so hard to watch a love one kill themselves.. Hugs & Prayers - wish we could do more.. Great - I did get my shoes straighten out so I can walk in my closet and put in a load of towel but that was about it.. - I talked to DS & DIL last night watched a little t.v. on the computer when I got your message I had just sat down at the computer and had the error but closed that server and reopened and was able to get back in.. So far this morning got another load in the wash - kitchen just needs picking up - I need to dust vacuum and mop and wash my sheets - I hate mopping.. Chris - Hugs & Prayer On whatever your struggles are - we are here for you Tina - Did you go to the Doc on Thurs - I was thinking about that yesterday.. My Mom was jeckel & hyde a little bit of both - I did get love from her (have great memories)- but got shit too(not so nice memories) but again my Mom had some mental issues for which back then they didn't have meds for - So I forgive her for the mean stuff and wish that I would have gotten to know her as a grown up. - My stepmom was pretty good - Once she told me I was too skinny (after I had joseph the doc gave me diet pills I was 150 - went down to 115-120 which truly for my height when you are 16 - 17 is normal weight) that was about the only neg thing she said to me - was very supportive when I was pg w/Joseph.. I think we had a good relationship.. Charlene - Hugs & Prayers - You are so lucky to have a good mom... Well need to get moving cbl

    Good Evening Gang.... Linda - I was at work - I have been having a hard time concentrating at work it's just so boaring anymore - I just don't have a lot of pep lately - I'm not depressed - I just not very motivated - Came home from work - was starving - had my italian cabbage for lunch - I liked it a lot better today.. Anyway came home made some popcorn - and had a little cat nap.. Hugs on stepdaughter - I think she means when she says she's a reporter - that she has to report it to the authorities child protection services.. You may end up with your Aylah full time... That's going to be a tough one - but then you can set schedules and have some routines instead of this drop off w/o any notice.. Your poor Aylah - Hugs & prayers that she gets her shit together w/o the authorities getting involved. Sorry about your Mom, You are a beautiful woman !!! Whats a Tongan?? Like a Samoain?? I didn't watch GL on Tuesday - had 2 other shows recording... Yep still have furlough days - I think mines next week or maybe the week after - I wanted the Friday before my Bday - but another girl who has kids who's bday fall then too wanted it off - so I let her take it - I will be taking a pto day since my DS is suppose to be coming... Apples - Hate that you had plumbing problems - but it's a good thing you aren't on the roads in that kind of weather and we get you for another day... Hell Phyls back and still hasn't posted here or on the #7 thread - bet she's getting caught up w/all her DHS friends.. Joyce - Yep SUPER PROUD of you on hooking up w/trainer - You are on your way to win the $50 !!! Yes greatfully you still aren't what you use to be, that in it self is a great accomplishment... How are things w/Michael - did he move I saw something on FB that made me think he's not living w/you.. Andrew is out on his own - has his own apartment - he's been gone I think since July - I told him he needed to go live w/his Mom cuz he kept wanting another dog (really get rid of bella and get another big dog) I put my foot down and said no - he's been gone since July or Aug - but 11/1 he got his own apt... So I'm now an empty nester ;0) - I love it - don't have to deal w/moody Teenagers - but miss the house cleaning LOL

    Lori - Muscles hurting is GOOD it means you have worked out - you are building more muscles.... Moving is the only thing that helps mine - but I am still at desk then get up to go to scanner or whatever - just to get moving I look like an old lady LOL but once moving feel good till I have to sit down again - Yep the computer can be a big distraction when you need to get things done..

    Good Morning Girls... To nite I am not getting on the computer till my house gets cleaned - between lbt & fb - i don't get stuff done - plus - I've been not in the mood - I need some pep... I have been good taking vitimans all week - how long does it take - I've had 2 cups cofffee could go to sleep.. I just need motivation Lori my legs & abs are killing me from working out this week - I've gone 4 time Sunday Monday Tuesday Wed.. Jodi - Yep nothing wrong w/nerdy - better than iresponsible bad boys... Cabbage dish was so so - I don't think I like cabbage w/tomato sauce - I love cabbage but it was just ok - wouldn't make it again - mine came out a little watery - more like a one pot wonder instead of like Lasanga.. OMG even totally unfilled you can't eat meat - I know one of my mentor thread girls just did the 5 day pouch test and it helpped her with her restriction - plus made her focus.. IMHO I think that we can be unfocused at time.. I know that you are still the busy bee cuz of fb :0).. Wishing you all the best on the 5 day pouch - Tofu - well just marinate it really good in something spicy so it has flavore LOL You got a bday coming up too....     Good Morning Gang... Phyl - So glad your Mom is doing better.... That's a tough drive - I know that's how long it takes me to get home from Joseph - well a little shorter but I drive faster than Earl - well you already know that LOL... Karla - Sleeping in this morning - I hope you were able to get some nourishment in last night and got a good night sleep TGIF 47 degrees - but 68 for the day ;0) perfect weather - I made that Italian cabbage thingie last night - it was so so -I don't think I like cabbage & spagh sauce - it was ok - I saved 2 servings and threw the rest away - mine didn't look like the picture (lasagna) mine was more like a one pot wonder (too watery) Food Yesterday BF -greek yogurt - Lunch fish veggie - dinner Italian cabbage - sf ice cream and took my vitamins :0)

    Got email from Chris - he said he made my italian cabbage meal for dinner tonite and his family loved it... I just put mine in the oven - I used a little more cheese 1.5 total so up the cal by 100 / 6 = so what 250 per 1.3 cup - still good - But you do have to at least sweat the cabbage or it will be too much - I use one med head and it made to layers - bottom layer cabbage add meat mixture add 1/2 lf cheese another layer of cabbage then top off w/meat and sprinkle the top w/cheese - I have covered right now - in over for 30 min then will take the foil off and let top get a little brown.. Meredith - I'm with you on cheese - I use to eat tons of is - I love the cheese in a can w/salami and rye crisp - I would eat that whole can in one sitting - I don't do much cheese at all anymore... it's to fattening... WTG on telling it off - didn't it feel good - I actually say the words F You candy - well in my head - and you know what if no one else was in the isle - I would have stuck my tounge out.. Thanks LauraK - My friend was banded in Mexico - so getting treatment here is hard - hell it's hard in the states if you move away from your regular doc - cuz no one wants to mess w/you.. sorry guys - I cant change font

    Gang please say a prayer for my gf Karla from my #7 thread - she's having tummy issues (hopefully not the band) and is in the ER right now.. Arlene - Hugs on Mom issues - glad you stayed on the wagon... Cheri I too love that story... Great wtg on pantry - I did that a few months ago but I have baskets - I don't go to Costco on a weekly basis - In fact since it's just you and dh - you buy that much bulk stuff - even when I had Andrew - the only thing I really bought food wise was meat - veggies - the other stuff was just too much for the 2 of us.. Apples - LOL the route that everyone wants you to take - you would never get to AZ and most of the country they want you to go to is cold !!! Hopefully I can make it down for 1 night Tonite is my non-exercise nite - got the stuff for the cabbage dish - going to go make it in a few - but I'm using extra lean beef - onion = bell pepper - jar spahgetti sauce - and I am not going to pre-cook the cabbage - will let it cook longer in the oven and got lf cheese... Will let you know how it goes
  16. Yes - I'm 3.6 yrs out and to this day I still have this issue. Why cuz they have banded our stomachs and not our heads - IMHO the majority of our problems with food is in our heads and not our stomaches. You have to exercise self control - You have to realize you are full and quit eating - get up go do something to distract yourself..

    OMG you all have been junking up the thread this morning haven't you - Lori - Didn't you feel so STRONG AND IN CONTROL when you told those Fritos off - I really mean this - I know for me I feel very impowered when I am in control - I guess that's pretty much why I stay in control - I'm a control freak LOL Joyce- Sounds like you have been busy 29th is out for me as family is coming - also have these 3 dogs now is going to be a bit of a problem if I can't find someone to take care of them - Andrew has 2 so if he can/will come and watch my dogs - then there are 5 at my house ugh !!! Don't know if I can get Deb to house sit again - and Kenneling - well they have never been kennelled.. Jodi - OMG your life is too busy for me girl - where do you find the time and energy LOL Good Ju Ju on your date tonite. Julie ?????     Good Morning Peeps Congrats Jessica on the BCBS (blue cross blue shield) $$$ - that's great - Yep there are tons of kids programs on cruise ships - you may never see your son ;0) he will be so busy.. Great - I ordered the Zumba Wii game - will let you know how that works - I am beginning to feel soreness from yesterdays' leg workout - I know by Saturday it's going to hurt to sit ;0) Apples - Don't think I have ever eaten at a craker barrell we don't have them in my area.. Charlene - There are alot of things we don't like - I would rather be eating chocolate 24/7 - but I know I can't - If I want muscles in my legs to give me better balance and strength I gotta exercise ;o)... You are going to need all the muscles you can get now for when you get older - you will be happy you did.. Well started this an hr and boss just caught me gotta jam

    Good Morning Karla - they can not refuse you at the er - period end of story - They must treat you it's the law... It has nothing to do w/mexico - that's just stupid - there are plenty of pple who have had surgery in the STates who need unfills - You have been sick for a couple of weeks now and that has to be wearing on you big t ime.... PLEASE PLEASE take care of yourself... Slept ok last night - but as usual 5 comes to fast... Last night Phyl went to dinner w/family - can't remember where - but remember thinking oh no healthy choices there LOL Why do you have to kiss your master classes away???     Apples Hugs on your stupid friend !!!! You are under alot of stress right now and that has to be showing too.. I just would blow her off period... Melissa - I can't get my heart rate up to 120 due to the beta blocker I take for my high blood pressure - But I was able to lose my weigh with increasing intensity... And let me tell you I would have to stop and hit the pause button alot especially in the beginning,, Charlene I like free weights the best - I feel I get a better workout.. Jodi - Can't wait to see the pic's from Dassis Bat Mitzvah When is it going to be... Yep girl - being off the wagon for more than a week is asking for trouble..     Hey 50 & over gang We have a new spot

    This thread use to be very active - it was my main thread when I first joined lbt 5/07 - I learned so much from the ladies that use to post here - but as time goes by you will find pple don't post as much as they use too.. If you 2 want you can come an join me on my Mentor thread "I'm here to help" Most of us on that thread are 50 + we do have a couple of young ones - but they are cool for youngsters LOL.. IMHO logging food and exercise is the only way to go ... I logged my food (I counted calories, pt grms - I weighed & Measured my food too) and exercise for 1 yr (time it took me to get to goal weight) - I read nutritional info on everything thing I ate and still do - if I want a candy bar - I know that a reeses peanut butter cup has 230 cal - so I figure - that's a meal - do I want real food or a treat - do I want to spend 30 mintues at the gym to work it off if I have gone over my calorie budget..

Workout was very good - he kicked our butt.. Not much else - talked to my sis tonite - she called - she sounds really good... Nothing much else..     Laura - it's the intensity of your walk that is the most important - it's better to walk on and incline for 5 minutes than on flat surface for 5 minutes (you burn more calories)- the higher the intensity the shorter amount of time you have to walk ;0) and for me it's all amount the least amount of time I work out - These #'s are examples - 15 minutes on a flat surface 80 cal burned - 15 minutes on incline of 4 100 cal burn - I haven't been on a treadmill in ages so I don't remember the exact # - but in know that if put the incline up I burn more calories.. So if you are walking outside then just find inclines or walk very fast.. It's all about the intensity of the work out... Great you are a busy lady Ya Charlene - I loved that one - "Dog Excuse" wasn't today a trainer day - weights?? The more muscle you have the more calories you burn just breathing.. Linda I concur you looked fine and normal (thin) in Vegas.. For me I might have maybe 5-7 lbs max extra skin - But as I have said before - face would be the 1st thing to get fixed if I ever decide to go under the knife again... Well back from Gym - My sis called to say she hated the pic's I put on fb - I told her she should see the originals - that I photo shopped is jowls - that I took 10 lbs off her face (she's all bloated from the steroids) we had a good laugh - she sounds really good - got the dogs fed - now gotta fix me some dinner Eva - I am glad you had a good day !!! and that you aren't leaving us ;0)

    I've lost my way!

    BetsyJen Don't diet - diets don't work - cuz what happens after you go off of them - you go back to eating normal - well what I finally got was my normal is what made me fat in the 1st place - I haven't dieted since day 1 - I eat healthy - I have had dessert every nite in my 3.6 yrs - it's been sf pudding or sf fudgescile - It's really all about changing the kinds of foods we eat - junk - starches - fat - sugar etc and exercise is key.. I'm still exercising 3.6 yrs later - that's a 1st for me - but I finally got it - if I want to keep my health - I have to eat healthy and exercise.. If I can do this so can anyone else - you just have to exercise the brain cuz really that's where the majority of our problems lie.. Oh ya - and it's normal to be hungry 3-4 hrs after a meal - Good Luck on your journey - gotta jam - got weight training tonite ;0)
