Good Morning Gang.... Kathy - You have snow - it's still 94 degrees here - but nights are cooling off to mid 60's which is cold for us. Yep it's all about the food choices... Fills help - but learning a new way of eating can be hard at times - it's so easy to fall back into old habits.. But you will do it - this is a learning experience and you will have some falls but with each of those falls you pick yourself up and move forward and you will succeed. Good Morning Gang... Oh Denise I am so sorry for your losses - My thoughts and prayer are with you... Hugs to you :eek: Phyl - I grew up with my own cat Puggie Nose.. Angel is the one who dosen't really like the kitten so far - but they will become friends.. Yep - now is the time that all this is going to sink in - but it does feel good to be back at work - well sort of... I know that time will heal my heart. Candice - Am I going to have to come up there and kick your butt !!!! :w00t: Maybe this summer when it's hot here I will take you up on that offer - I will be the executor of my Bro's estate - so I don't know what all that's will entail - but I have a good lawyer and accountant who will assist me on all this.. Thanks Steph... I have not had an appeitite period - today when DS & DIL got back they brought lasagan home - I had 2 bite cuz I haven't been eating except once a day if that - but 2 bites is all I can manage... When everything calms down then watch out - I know that when my Parents died it took about 3 months and then it all sunk in and then that was when the food feast started and I got up to 230 at the time.. Oh guess what gang - I have a new addition to my fur babies - a kitten... GS came home with her like Tuesday nite - I was in no condition to say no.. Now I am going to have to have it declawed!!!! Cute little thing I do like cats - but that's all I need is another animal !! So far this new fur baby sleeps with him - ask me in 6 months though who she is sleeping with - Sarabe (sp from the lion king) I call her sheba...

Gang - First of all THANK YOU ALL SO MUCH FOR YOUR THOUGHTS AND PRAYERS... It has really helped - I am blessed to have such good friends. Now I have only skimmed the posts - but saw that Phyl said something about some of you slacking and am assumming that means bad food choices.. Regardless of your restriction - you guy gotta make good food choice cuz even with proper restriction if you continue bad eating habits your weight isn't going to come off.. Life is still topsy turvy for me right now - things keep popping up which is causing more drama.. I hope to be back to work tomorrow and start getting back in to the routine of my life.. Last night was the 1st night that I have eaten a good meal (my fish rice and spinach) and was able to have a few hrs of quite - the last week has been pple 24/7 and I am exahusted... I haven't been to the gym in a week now - and most likely won't get back into the groove til Monday - but I will... Just wanted to pop in and say Thank you... Hugs - Janet PS Even if I am not here I am on your shoulders watching you... So remember that - I am the little angel on your right shoulder telling you to make those good food choices and not to listen to that little devil on the left shoulder telling you it's ok...

Good Morning Family - I truly truly mean this - you all have been so wonderful - with your thoughts and prayer - and Yes It truly meant the world to me to see Phyl & Earl at my Bro's viewing.. It's been a very very tough week and more drama happened yesterday with my Son being forced to come back to testify again the pple who hurt Melissa - This is putting them and us (me & GS) in danger.... I have just skimmed - but gotta say Ruby - Get off your Butt and do what you need to do... No more Excuses.... You hear MOM!!! Candice - How are you doing... How's the gym and food choices - Your Daughter is Beautiful and looks like you and you siltb is handsome.. Again - I am paceing the house right now and really can't concetrate but just wanted to let you know how very very very much your support has meant to me - I am so blessed have a family like you.. What are you eating - give me a typical day's food - what kinds and how much - how many fills have you had - how much can you eat at one sitting and Exercise ??? are you ?? Have you tried making your own broth - I did - it's so much better than the canned stuff - can you have creamed soups - they were my life saver - you can make a pot of beans - blend the beans and add them back to the broth - cream of bean soup - taste good and has protein. Try the sf dark choc pudding and sf healthy choice fudgecicles.. You may need your blood pressure meds adjusted... Losing weight will help get you off most your meds!!! -

Good Morning Gang - Sorry I wasn't around this weekend - but Saturday morning started cleaning the garage - was going thru boxes with pictures and decided I needed to get them in albums (never finished the garage but did get it clean some and the front of the house and a couple of halloween decorations) - with my new Supertarget 2 blocks away I ran over there and got some and started - I have 4 albums done - now I need to go get pics that are on disc made in to photos - Oh but what a back killer (the middel where your bra hooks) Also, my GS and I (mostly him with instructions from me:wink:) replaced my kitchen faucet.... Pretty good he is a natural handyman - love it since so many guys now adays don't know how to fix stuff.. Lori - Congratulations - did you get your wallet - I am so glad that your visit with your Mom & Dad is going well... In making my albums - I miss my Dad & Stepmom, Real Mom & Brother - Looking at all those pictures made me miss my family - I have a big Sis who lives in Northern CA and my baby Bro who lives 20 miles away.. PJ thanks for the props... I feel so good - Like I said before - I don't know why I wasted so many yrs fat - but gotta say I hate the saggy skin (that being said I still will take the weight loss over the fat anyday) I was trying on clothes Friday - OMW - in that lighting - I looked awful - Yes having proper restriction really does help.. I have heard about the greek yogurt - I haven't tried - what's the calories.. You are so close to goal I hate saying that you need a fill - but if you are saying you are doing this mostly on your own - then the safety net of your band will keep you there. OMW - I am glad you are ok - I haven't seen the PM stuff - do you think it's the PM meds part or the tyenol itself... Becky - I think you are doing wonderful with your eating healthy and exercise - You are suppose to be hungry at meal time - that's normal... That whole eat protein thing to curb hunger is bs to me - I don't find that eating protein stops me from being hungry - I do find that eating hard protein (meats) do stick with me longer and keeping busy is a main factor for me... Charlene - how funny toast got suck but not the other stuff but that's our band for you - I haven't tried a hamburger bun - but when I came back from LV in June - I did have a hot dog and could eat the bun and this was getting off the plane.. Howluckyami - Welcome !!! Gail - I am glad you are feeling better - as the saying time helps - and it really does - Yep I think you need a fill and hope your doc give it to you - why wouldn't he?? I can say that I get full - I mean physically full as long as I am eating hard Protein - last night dinner was 4 oz pork chop - 1/2 c mash potatos and 1/4 c french green Beans - and I was starving - I was full from this meal but that didn't stop me from eating popcorn (snack pack 100 calories) about hour later - I wasn't hungry I just needed that hand to mouth feeling and taste. Yep I would get another fill - it's not losing the weight but keeping it off - that's why we got banded - we all have lost weight before - but have NEVER kept it off - that's the reason for the band... Becky - Me personally I want to eat more than 1/2 c per meal - as you can see by my dinner last night I ate about 1 1/2 cups for my dinner. I love to cook to - infact last night didn't get home til like 7 was beat and hungry - I really wanted to by junk (candy/cookies at the store) but ididnt came home was going to have shrimp cocktail for dinner - but knew that in my head that would not feel like a meal to me - so scratched that idea and went ahead and cooked a full meal - for me I need to have a good dinner - that's my main meal - I eat Breakfast & lunch but they are usually light meals - Dinner has always been my most important meal - I guess it comes from my days as a child where my family sat at the table and ate together - I find comfort in dinner..

Good Morning Gang... I didnt even get on the computer last night !!! My kitchen faucet broke and to go get new connection then went to Super Target AGAIN... Got 2 pair of shoes - tried on clothes - cute knit dress - but it hits right above the knee - and it was VERY VERY BECOMMING body wise - but my legs are awful saggy.. I didn't get it - may go back cuz with a pair of tights & boots it would be cute - I gotta say dressing rooms with all the mirrors and lights can really ruin a good shopping spree - I can't wait til 12/2 to see the PS Doc - Candice - you did really good calorie wise - hope you get to the gym today ... Yep I thought the blackberry tea was good and with cooler weather on the way (I think phyl brought it to the desert - it's supppose to be only 76 today and that's almost cold for us:biggrin:) Well, I am flaking on the gym this morning - just don't feel like it I a tired even though I have been up since 6:30 - gotta try and fix my sink and if I can't do it - will call my nephew to come and help... Maybe will clean out the garage and replace some lights outside... Who knows, maybe I will do nothing

Kathy You were self pay ??? Fill Centers USA is the name of the place that Charlene is talking about.. I had a program fee and it included fills for 5 yrs - but heck I have had what 3 fills and 1 unfill in my 15 months - and I don't think I will ever need anything more ever.. That's how much my doc will charge someone who isn't his patient for a fill and he does blind fills.. I would look into Fill Center USA if I were you... Apple - Being too tight for a day or 2 max is livable - I did it for a week which inculded my Bday :smile2: where I could barely eat the top of a cup cake:tongue:

As to the age and weight issues - yep - If I lost anymore it wouldn't do my looks any good - You will know when you need to stop - I work in an office - In fact Insurance - so I think they will get it - backpack with gold parachute hanging out - briefcase with AIG on it with $$$ & travel brochures sticking out....

Do you think I would win that's pretty original don't you think ??? ---------------------------------------- Politics - I think it's useless to debate - you are never going to change another person's mind - we can throw facts (supposed or truths) at each other all day long - but we are NEVER going to convince a tried and true Republican or Democrat to change their mind. All you are going to succeed in doing is pissing the other person off.. No matter if you are stating a fact or showing where something is untrue is being said about your candidate - it's not going to be believed. by the other person - their mind is made up and there is no changing it... For all of you who like those speciality coffee's lattes etc - here are some healthy ones to have and savor.. Just goes to show you - you can have your treats and be healthy too :wink2: pumpkin Spice Latte Ingredients: 1 scoop vanilla unjury 1 tablespoon Canned Pumpkin (not pumpkin pie filling) ¼ teaspoon Apple Pie Spice (cinnamon, nutmeg, allspice) ½ cup Skim Milk1, Lactose Free Milk, Soy Milk2, Rice Milk3 2 teaspoons Splenda or Equal (add more or less to adjust sweetness) ½ cup Water 1 teaspoon Instant coffee (regular or decaf) Directions: -Heat water in microwave (below 130 degrees) then mix in instant coffee Add: -Coffee (as prepared above), milk, canned pumpkin, Vanilla UNJURY, apple pie spice and sweetener in blender -Blend until combined (about 30 seconds) -Heat in microwave until warm or serve over ice Fun Extras: -Serve with a cinnamon stick -Top with 1 tablespoon of cool-whip (sugar free or regular) and sprinkle with Apple Pie Spice Nutrition Facts: 150 calories 24 grams Protein 11 grams carbohydrate 9.5 grams sugar 1 To increase calories use 1%, 2% or whole milk. Charlene - OMG I agree taking care of a newborn at this stage in our lives would be alot- feel free to vent all you want - Prayers for your Daughters Surgery - J Becky You are doing so good on your exercise - the weight loss should help the bladder problems Hpegg You are barely 1 month out and have lost 12 lbs You are doing great.. You got a fill 2 weeks after surgery??? That's a bit early but again every doc is diff - you can click on my ticker and see a graph of my weight loss journey as I really cant remember how much I lost each week in the beginning - but again we all lose weight differently... And I was very very diligent in my eating healthy and exercise - I have had my AH HA MOMENT - for me this journey hasn't been that difficult. You are no diff than everyone else here - we all think with how little we are eating that the weight should be flying off - I mean like 5 lbs every week - well that's unrealistic... Its not going to come off that fast and that mindset is going to hurt you in the long run - Be happy with whatever loss you have - it's a loss !!! They all add up.. If you eat healthy - exercises - the weight will come off - there may be weeks that you don't lose lbs - but inches - My body is still changing even though I a not really losing any weight... We tend to mistake our mental hunger for physical hunger most of the time - This is a battle I still fight daily... Concentrate on making this a lifestyle change and not a diet - Eat healthy prepare low fat healthy meals that you enjoy... Look at the positives - don't concentrate on the negatives... My Mom has been dead 38 yrs and my Dad & Stepmom 16 yrs.. My Aunt in Texas who's 92 was ok about it (Dad's Sister) and so was my Uncle (My Mom's Bro) he's 64..
