PJ You need a more filling breakfast - they have a WW egg mcmuffin that only 200 calories - I usually only eat 1/2 of the muffin part - I take off the top and eat the bottom muffin - egg, ham, cheese.. No you aren't at your sweet spot if you aren't full on a WW meal - I don't eat them often (I like real food) but I will have a lean cusiene every now and then - I like the feticunnie alfredo and I add scallops or shrimp to it. Why do you eat out alot?? just cuz you don't wanta cooke? I suggest that you stay home and cook a little more - eating out is fattening.. Are you eating a whole dinner - if you are again you aren't at your sweet spot - tell that darn doc to give you more fill. I usually eat 1/2 of a meal when I eat out and bring the other half home. We can post what we eat it it helps you be accountable - I am attaching a menu for you.. Breakfast Ideas - Weight control oatmeal - sf yogurt/granola - a sandwich made on lite bread - I will have a ham/cheese sandwich sometime bread 45 ham 50 cheese 50 mustard doesn't count :0) - I don't really like sweet stuff for breakfast.. Ok post more later gotta take GD to her friend house and get some sf creamer - i picked up the regular yesterday 60 calorie vs 35 for the sf - all those little things add up...

Denise You are shitting me 2 drinks 27 buck that's 13.50 a drink and really just a cup of tea with grand marna (sp) in it - that's crazy stupid - I'm PWT too... I think that a martini like a lemon drop is $10 buck - heck I remember when drinks were $2 you went out with a $20 and could drink all night !!!! I want a poboy can you eat the bread- I can eat bread but it fills me up too much - but I could eat the insides.. I want crawdads oysters on the half shell - shrimp - anything fried - any thang cajun - creolo - lousiana !!!! I am hungry can't you tell. I have cleaned the kitchen - my bathroom - loaded a few songs on to my ipod - am sitting here in pj's and robe - freezeing - it's like 67 in the house cuz I have the heater set for 66.. I think I am going to kick back today and do nothing - maybe nap - I have been up since 5:30... Back to work tomorrow... ---------------------------------- Candice how was your visit with your future inlaws...

Sorta Figured that one out :tongue_smilie: PJ - Are you getting your protein - My hairdresser says it's lack of fat - my gf went on medifast so she got her protein but was lacking in fat and she lost tons of hair... So since I still get my fats (not as much but still include it in my diet) I agree cuz I haven't lost any and I have fine/thin hair... I remember asking my doc about this and he said they really don't know why - but it will come back... Just make sure you get your protein and some fats in your food daily and the fat & Water helps with the TMI problems too. I bought a scale that give you amount of calorie - protein - carbs - fats in whatever you were weighing - you put in what you are weighting - cat fish raw - it would show the oz - protein - calories etc - I only counted protein & calories - I have never counted anything else (carb/fats etc) - I got it at bed bath & beyond - it was $100 but well worth it - I still pull it out when I have Pasta.. Also - you can buy glad containers that are 1/2 cup - that's what I would use to measure rice - I cook up a pot of rice then put it in the container and wala I have my rice for the week in portion sizes. I also bought 1 cup size and that's what I use to put up my one pot wonders that I take to work for lunch each week - no guessing - they are in the one cup container - just throw them in a bag and I have lunch for a week I weighed and measured for about the first 4-6 months - by then you have learned correct portion sizes by eye ball and pretty much know how many grms of pt and calories are in what you are eating and I logged my calories & protein and exercise for the 1st yr. (well I still track exercise & keep mental tabs on what I am eating - but will forget a bite of this or that very easliy - that's why I really try and stick with planned meals & snacks) Yep you need to join curves or a gym that's close and convient to your house or work so that you can go right after work at least 4 times a week. Yes dinner can wait for 30 minutes or an hour - this is about you - and we need exercise in our lives to be healthy - just losing the weight isn't going to make you 100 % healthy you gotta work those muscles - get that blood flowing - strenghty your core muscles - as we get older we lose more muscle this is why old pple fall and break hips - this is why they use walker - they have no muscles cuz they get no exercise... I was reading an article in a magazine - skinny obese - yep they are skinny but got fat hiding inside cuz they don't exercise.. Something to that effect - Januarys Self Magazine.. When was your last fill - August - why so long between - do you have restriction??? I really really beleive in weighing, measuring your foods as a learning tool - you don't have to do this for the rest of your life - but you do need to learn what a correct portion size is - you need to know how many calories are in what you are eating - how are you going to keep the weight off if you don't - I have a friend at work though she was eating healthy had 3 chicken thights from el pollo loco (grilled chicken) and they arent that big - I said GF you had about 900 calories in those thights - pluse the bean 130 - that's was just for dinner that truly a days worth of calories in just one meal  and I was just guessimating (this part of my brain still remembers calories) on the calories and when I looked it up to verify - I was correct - so it's important to know what you are putting in your mouth.... It's all about calories in vs calories out to lose the weight - the band will restriction portions of hard Proteins - but not slider foods or make your food choices ( healthy vs unhealthy).. I never liked Abba and was told the movie was a musical with Abba so I won't watch - It looks like a cute movie (story line) so if they come out with nonmusical verison I might watch I might be a Cali girl - but I am a Cowboy Fan... My DS Dad was a Pearson and I started watch cowboys when they had Drew & Preston Pearson - Infact my DS wanted GS to be Joe Pearson the 4th - I said hell no we have enought joe pearsons (him & his dad) need a new name - so one night I come home and was told babys name would be Andrew Pearson - (drew pearson) so in away he is named after the cowboys !!!! Charlene - Yep I bought some navy & pinto beans yesterday perfect foods for the cold weather...

Orea - Well said :tongue_smilie:- Congrats on getting on the Exercise wagon... Yes I started very slow too - but increased each week now up to 3 mile in 48 minutes on various inclines (in the beginning just doing 20 minutes on zero incline killed me) I use to leave the gym looking like someone threw a bucket of water on me - now just a little sweat not much at all.. 2009 - To continue with my healthy eating and exercise - not to get complacent about my weight loss - to always be mindful that I could put it all back on 5 lbs at a time.. -
Good Morning - I see that Charlene is the early riser today - 5:09 posted - I got up at 5:30 This is a perfect example of what our band were designed for and the work it takes to lose the weight (to fill or not to fill )- Treats ie eating around the band - lack of exercise will equal no weight loss - where as eating like we are suppose to (hard proteins & excercise) will show a weight loss. Some pple feel that they just need to tighten their band to lose weight - nope they need to tighten their heads  Make better choices and get their butts in gear... I have never pb'd for an hour .. It usually comes up and that's the end of it - I know that yesterday afternoon I tried to eat leftover prime rib - it got stuck and it didn't want to come back up - I couldn't eat and I was hungry - so for dinner I had a cup beans with cheese - something soft so I could eat and get some nutrition and not irritate my band further.. 99.9% of the time the reason for a pb for me is eating to fast - not chewing - to big of bites... I feel for those who live in the colder climates and usually walk out doors - with the weather we have been having that would be a very difficult problem to overcome. Well, the treats are gone !!! New Years isn't so much about the food as it is the drinking ... Well that's how I think of New Years - I usually stay home - my high school friend may come over we watch a movie - then Dick Clark and then she goes home - we don't even have champaigne . But my life is a little boring :tongue_smilie: - There are too many pple out on NYE - cops - drinking etc - I have been there done that - staying home is my idea of a good time - Now I just have to worry about GS being out...
-
Becky The way it sounds, you don't need a fill... As we all know those treats go down with no problem - it's the hard Proteins that are harder to eat.. If you had a fill I don't think you could eat at all - and remember this band is in for life and you have to be able to eat normal.. I really really don't think you are going to need a fill. I rarely every turn my heater on -but this morning I just couldn't get warm = heck right now my hands are cold - I have on pj's fleece bottoms thermal top and 2 pairs of socks - I have the fireplace going too - but it's in the other room.. I didn't do much today - went to Stein Mart looked around tried on a chasmere sweater and capris and left with nothing -= I really don't need to be spending $$$ I got bills due on the 1st - I am going to wait - til the spring stuff comes out and then will do a little shopping - plus I really really hate looking thru racks and racks of clothes for my size -- i swear to the devil - I didn't know that you could buy so many 16 - 14 in the regular stores - but now that I am a 4 I can never find my size... Tons of 16's 14's 10's 12' 8' - but 6 or 4 hardly any - and tons of brown - I am not a brown person have a couple of things but not many. After that stopped at the grocery store and came home - got a pot of collard greens on the stove - good and healthy and great for the tmi issues .. Well am cold - going to living room and try and warm up... will ck back in a few I
-
It's 64 in the house - my hands are freezing - I was hungry a bit ago - was going to make egg beaters but saw the leftover prime rib - oh my - I had a stuck !!! It's almost down but I don't want to eat anymore but I am hungry... Maybe I'll go to Khols today - I really need to keep my butt at home -bills are due 1/1 and Ihaven't even opened some of them - like my qvc card - but I guess I will have to do it in a couple of days..
-
Apples - OMG hope that arm is ok !!!! How nice of your DH - well you gotta go get him something... I got a Tom-Tom for xmas -and it's fun to play with... Not getting in til one - aren't your the party girl :hurray: You did really good on the shopping - I got a couple of summer dresses for 10 bucks - a top & capri for 10 each - and one blouse on sale but not 10 bucks- Arent you going to florida soon?? Do you have warm weather clothes  - Going on cruise in March - going to need some summer stuff - most of my stuff from last summer is a little baggy.. Spring stuff should be comming out shortly..

Phyl - I am so PROUD of you for going to the pool with our cold & windy weather - that is just fantastic. How was the wind your way - it's wasn't to bad here xmas night just a few gust but nothing like what I say on the news in PS.. -
Too Funny going to the tram - I haven't been in years.. Yep 20 yrs old they shouldn't worry too much - he's a big boy...
-
Apples - Where are you - are you snowed in with no power??
-
Well back from the gym... 3.2 miles 48 minutes - did 4.2 speed with a 4 incline - I beat my usual time by 4 minutes.. burned 300 calories - you see once you lose your weight it takes more intensity or time to burn the same amount of calories - heck this work out 6 months ago would would have burned 350 calories and that was with just a little incline. Yep Lori - it's funny about the aches - I know that when I deep clean - behind toliets etc my legs would hurt - but that's was pre-band - I can't say that I get to many aches from cleaning anymore. Yep come 1/1 you will have tons of new pple in the gym - but that will last about 2 weeks - 1 month.. A 24 hr fitness opened around the corner - so I have noticed that my gym has lost alot of pple - but 24 hr fitness is like $30 a month my gym is only $19 but it doesn't have classes - but I figure my trainer is better than the classes -so I will stay - my original plan was just to stick with my gym til 24 hr fitness opened - but cuz of my trainer - I am staying where I'm at... Ya Phyl it's cold - well I am warm now cuz I have worked out but leaving for the gym it was cold - tomorrow suppose to be 60 - and no winds.. Enjoy the cookies - it's not Xmas without them.. They are part of the tradtion of Christmas.. I am glad mine are gone - well I say that now - but in the middle of the night I might not think that :hurray: but in the morning when I don't have a sugar hangover I will be happy... I gotta get my water in today - that's my goal for the day - I have been really bad about my water and that causes tmi problems... Well gotta put some clothes in the dryer - cbl in a few...
-
Good Morning Gang... How was everyone's evening... All the sugar cookies are offically gone  I gotta get dressed and get my butt to the gym in just a few (see I practice what I preach:sneaky:) Am on my 2nd cup of coffee it's a little cold this morning 40  I know for some of you that's warm - but for a desert rat like me it's cold.. Well gotta get dressed... I will ck back after the gym... Hugs - Janet

Mimi - So sorry for the loss of your Dad.. I am glad you have a big family to be with - it does help.. Hugs... and yes time alone is what is needed to. Stress will make your band tighter - at least it did mine - I was tight after my little bro died in Oct... But for me stress like that doesn't make me eat - just the reverse - I have no appetite.. Lynn - Congrats on your NSV... You are going to love having a trainer - I love mine and it really does help.. I have gain muscles since I got mine last March - and the more muscle you have the more calories you burn... Phyl as cold as it's been & windy - I can see why you skipped the pool - How funny your own Aunt didn't recongize you ... When I sent my Aunt a pic of me she said that she wouldn't know who I was.. Joann - I am happy to read that you had a good Christmas and that your fur baby got to enjoy too - My babies got presen't from Santa too. Yep some foods really don't taste as good as they use to... When do you go back to the doc for your 1st fill -for me I think it was 8 weeks. -
Denise The Sugar cookies are GONE !!! Thankfully - I'm up at 6 on my second cup of coffee - gym at 7 - yep gotta burn off those cookies - this is the only time of the year that I make them... All I keep thinking of is your weird weather - what is it today - snow or a/c  I need to download some new songs on my ipod - got a $25 gift card - 25 new songs - but didn't do it last night and not enough time now to do it so when I get back I will have to ck out Itunes to see what's up.. It's going to be mid 50's today for us - clear no rain - which I am glad of cuz Phyl's DD is here and they don't want to see anymore cold wet weather Karri is in Vegas.. I sid a post Xmas eve but don't see it - Don't know whats up with that.. Kari - Are all your sweets gone and are you on that bike:tongue: Candice - When do you go back to work?? Want some of those vacation pics
-
Hey Charlene - Those egg whites will do it to you every time if you don't chew  We think they are soft but oh my - they are really just rubber if you take a big bite and don't chew.. - Glad you are getting back on track  Had a Great Christmas - Enjoyed the time with the family - oh my did my back ache Xmas Eve with all the wraping - We had tons of presents!! Hi Becky - Remember - take the word Hope out of your vocabulary :w00t: I will get back on tract Really the little extra calories that you have may even spur a lose - I find that's why it's good to vary your calories... So glad that pple noticed your weight loss - that in its self is very motivational... Sweet Dreams  Ladiekappa - Welcome !! As you are finding out - the band isn't the cure all to our issues with food - but it's a great tool - once you start working it.. And that's what you gotta do - there is no way around that - so get your butt in gear - eat healthy - get your butt to the gym - do you hate the gym more than you hate being fat  - I don't think so  so just go... I was a total slug bug pre-band - heck I sat on my butt 24/7 - now I am at the gym 3-4 days a week. I to eat out of boredom - so what I do when I am bored is get on the computer - go in the bathroom give myself a facial - or condition my hair - clean out a drawer - ya just gotta find something else to do than standing in front of the fridge looking for something to eat - heck call a gf - just find a distraction... It really does work... Lori - You made out like a bandit.. Way to go. What a great steal on the leather coat  I got a Tom-Tom - Bluetooth for the car the kind that goes on your visor - a ceramic cat my gd made - blouse - lotion - Itune card. Those 4 lbs has to be mostly water - I know that you didn't eat 14,000 calories (3500 for 1 lbs) Yep Charlene - Back on tract today - !!!!
-
How cool Phyl - what a treasured gift you got - Kaitlin does ceramics in school - I got a cat & paper weight - she thought it was a dumb gift to give - I told her NO NO NO it's the kind of things that Grandma's LOVE
-
Candice I am so glad you have a good Christmas... I love your wedding photos oh my your Peter is a hunk  Love your Dad's sideburns - he was pretty hip for a Dad back then  What a beautiful bride you were - you look the same though even 34 yrs later... Getting back on track - throw the crap away - you don't have to eat it all - just throw it away.. I really haven't been super bad - Yes I have had cookies - but I have still been going to the gym and have been eating a little lighter at other meals. I haven't gained.. In fact right now I am cooking fish/rice/spinach - it's what my body wants - there are just a few cookies left - i bet they will be gone by the morning :tongue:and tomorrow I will get up and go to the gym and do 3 to 3.5 miles - I went today and did a little over a mile then worked arms for 1 hr So get back to the gym and track those calories - you can do it girl - I know you can... Here's pic's from my Xmas

Long - Too funny - I was so lucky - My Inlaws liked me better than their DS - infact the whole family did - they would refer to be as poor Janet - that tells you why my DH is now Xdh  Hugs on the DS issue - Mine (ds) has just gotten his sh*t together this last yr and he's 37 .. Sandi #1 are those 2 bites fast bites - that's usually where I have my problems if I eat too fast or haven't chewed or is your band is too tight - if you can't even eat soft foods -then maybe you are too tight an need just a tad .01 taken out. I can eat chicken - heck can't hurt to try it - buy one from costco - cut up into tiny bites eat slowly and chew super well. If you aren't getting your protein from food - then you need to get it anyway you can ie shake/bar etc. Well, i get off work in 15 minutes - so gotta clean upthe desk TTYL - Merry Xmas -
:thumbup:FANTASTIC PHYL  :thumbup:YOU HAVE DONE A GREAT JOB !!!! :tt2:Cute shirt if I do say so myself :tt2: Karri - you are back on track !!! Hope you don't have flight problems either - I keep hearing how bad it is up your way.. Some lady was here in PS and was going to Bend OR - flight to Portland delayed and then she mention the drive over the mountain - that's the mountain you talk about I assume... Denise - too funny our weather isn't that drastic...
-
Good Morning Gang... Merry Christmas Eve..... Got the Cookies done last night really only had like 2 1/2 - one broken one and 1 1/2 choc chip - I gotta say baking with splenda isn't the same as real sugar - I made a batch of sugar cookies with the splenda - when you cream the butter & splenda together it turns watery.. They came out a little doughy - could have used more sugar/splenda - with frosting on them they aren't bad - but they aren't great - The choc chip aren't the greatest either - but I guess that's good so I won't keep eating them... We didn't tell DS, DGS OR DGD that I made them w/splenda or he wouldn't eat them... I am not a big chip eater - but I have some in the cupboard right now had a cup full the other night... Those 2 lbs are most likely mainly Water  Becky with your weather I wouldn't be out walking either - we have our bands to help us that's why we got them. We do have a better way of thinking about what we are eating and we are at least thinking before we eat - where before we didn't even thing about what we put in our mouths.. and I am really proud of all you ladies here - cuz imho you are all doing so great - I am almost 1 1/2 yrs out and you guys are mostly just 5 - 6 months out.. I will send my Christmas wishes when I get home today - so I can insert my cute smileys - Well gotta get back to work - TTYL

Hockeyson - Hugs - I have 3 fur babies (2 dogs 1 kitten) so I totally understand.. Hoep the drops give her comfort.. Why can't you eat salad or strawberris if you are on regular food?? I eat all foods - just smaller portions - make sure you eat slowly, tiny bite and chew well... The only thing I have had a problem with this last 2 weeks is carrots - they are soft - but I haven't chewed well and eating too fast - both times they came back up...
