    Denise - Ok I will get the stuff down this weekend - well maybe not - then you would come to Indio and we would meet in person - I would clean up a little egg for that :biggrin: I forgot about my black eye peas yesterday - I know good luck - do you cook the cabbage & peas together?? Karri - I know what you meand about doing something - I have been to the gym - paid bills - showered and am dressed - but what to do - I could clean house but not in the mood - I have til 1/6 to take down decorations per Denise:lol: so I am cool in that department - I need to get out of here cuz if I stick around all I will do is watch tv want to eat etc... I really feel gulity when I am lazy too much - heck yesterday was lazy day - I don't want to get in that habit again - don't think I am depressed - but just don't know what to do with myself - I got tons of things I could do like clean out the garage - pay my bros' bills - clean the house - have a little washing I could do - but none of that is appealing - Think I will go walke around target (eat samples they have great cheese & bread & salami - I don't buy it just sample it) & marshalls - and see what's out there if there is anything I just can't live without = My Aunt sent me some $$ for xmas - so maybe go spend that...

    No darling imho you gotta change your eating habits - you gotta learn to eat healthy.. I allow carbs but not alot - I really eat balanced - protien 1st - veggies & a little carbs/starched - but not tons - I eat mostly sugar free and exercise.. That imho is the secert to losing the weight and keeping it off - it's about lifestyle change.. Tracking calories measure foods eating low fat - limited sugar/refined carbs - are all the things you have to do.. It's (our band) is only a tool - it doesn't make our food choices or exercise for us... I know that so many people say I didn't get banded to go on another diet - well I am not on a diet - I eat healthy - i did weigh and measure and log my food as learning tools - the band isn't going to stop us from eating 1 cup of mashed potatoes loaded with butter 4 x a day - and if we continue to eat that way then the weight isn't going to come off.

    Good Morning Gang Happy New Years... No Candice I have the day off :biggrin:- was up at 6 - at the gym by 7:15 - did my 3 miles burned 312 calories and am home cking my post :tongue: Like Phyl said I was LAZY LAZY LAZY yesterday - A&E had marathon of the first 48 hours - I watched it all day and all night.... Went out for a bit news eve w/gf - I am not in the party mood - don't ask me why - but am happy at home - I think it's cuz since thanksgiving it's been go go go - pple pple pple - and I need some down time - I was home by 11 and in bed by 11:30 - heard all the firecrackers etc at midnite .. Karri - I was wondering how your visit went - yep they need the history so they know how to help... Our history is the reason we are the way we are... But sometimes we don't make the connection or know how to change our thinking.. Steph - Glad everything is ok - nothing majorly bad has happened in your life and that you are back with us.. Candice - Loved the pictures !! Phyl - I am still laughing about the remote control :confused: Kari - You better get that bike serviced for all the miles that you put on it this last year Denise - What did you do girl - did you have a good New Years.. Well I gotta go pay bills and figure out what I am going to do today - I should take down the xmas stuff - but I hate doing that - I do need a shower - I was in PJ'S all day yesterday:tongue_smilie: CBL !!!!

    Belated Happy New Years Ladies !!! I went out Wed nite - my Gf & I had dinner scallops & butternut raviolis - very good - then when to this bar - my gf lived a sheltered life and she never really went out on new years eve - her dh was a player - he was out and she was home - I didn't want to go out cuz I have been there done that - but figured I would be nice and go along. Went to this place that had a live band - it had a mixed group of pple - older lady in her mink stole and then some 20-30 something kids - well we stayed for 2 drinks - and left at 10:30 - I just am not in the party mood - came home watched a little tv and was in bed by 11:30 I gotta say it was the 1st new years I wasn't up at midnight - well I did here all the fireworks etc going off though.. Yesterday LAZY day watched the 1st 48 hours marathon on A&E all day and I mean ALL DAY and all night... Was up at 6 - at the gym by 7:15 - did my 3 miles burned 312 calories - and now home... Need to take down the Xmas decorations - but don't feel like it yet - so we will see what I end up doing for the day.. Bonnie - Yes Ya you !!! I am so very happy for you !!! Skinny Cow is just as good - This is a learning process as I have said a million times before and I am still learning myself.. Keeping track of your food is empowering - It's fun to know that you are in control... Not that stupid food - as you progress you will get stronger every day... WTG on walking in the snow... I gotta say you are doing better than I would in that situation - I am cold all the time now that I have lost my insulation.. Judy - Welcome !!!! Yes this is a lifetime lifestyle change and not a diet - I REALLY REALLY feel that this is how you must look at the lap band surgery or any wls if you want to be successful in the long run... I would ck w/your doc on the soup being a mushie - most likely would be but ck w/him or her to be sure. I feel that homemade foods are more satisfying that the canned or frozen meals - I made cream of navy bean or pinto bean soups during my full liquid stage - it was better than the canned cream of ck soup. 1/14 - Fantastic - prayers for a safe surgery and speedy recovery.. Becky Hugs GF you are ok - You will get the weight off - I have no doubt in that ... Yes it is about what you are eating - calories do add up super fast and that's why I am a propionate of tracking as a learning tool... I don't think that eating a cup of veggie is bad as long as they weren't loaded with butter:tongue:. Again - I have never worried that I can eat more than a cup of food per meal - it's about what I am eating (calories) 4 oz of fish 150 - 1/2 c rice 120 - 1/2 cup veggie 35 = 305 c for dinner - bf & lunch keep around 200 each and then 2 healthy snacks 100 to 200 max - and you will do great. Talk to your doc about the fill issue - the canned chick & mayo - really would be considered a mushie not a hard protein. Make it a point to practice cutting up your meat into tiny bites - chewing and eating slowly before your next visit - see how you do... Again - the band for me doesn't really take away my hunger - and I hate that pple expect it too - yesterday during the first 48 hour marathon - there were tons of commercials for the realize band - not once did it say it takes away your hunger like the Allergan band commercial did - I liked that - cuz when they advertize that the band takes away your hunger I think it's setting pple up for failure - cuz they will still be hungry - it's natural to be hungry... Skinny pple get hungry - skinny pple want cookies - candies - ice cream - it's just that their brains are wired diff than ours then know when to stop - food is not their drug of choice.. Our issues with food is really mental as i have said before.. Lori - Congrats on your 12's - that fantastic !!!! And you are so right - what works for me may not work for you - we all have to find out what works for us and stick with it Charlene - you will get out the the plus sizes ~~~ PJ I will be making arrangement this month - will let you know when I am going to TX OK gang I gotta pay bills :biggrin: I will ck back later..     Kathy you are too sweet - I just like to spout off at the mouth that's all... Really I want everyone one to be successful - this isn't a race - but it is about major change and it's not always easy - Some of us are going to struggle more than other - What we need is support and that's what LBT and this thread is about. I want you all to know that you help me just as much as I help you... You all keep me honest - I am not one to tell you to do as I say and not as I do - If I am going to advise you to do something - that means I have done it or am doing it.. Kathy - I am glad you are going to have some strong weekly support - I think that's great... Anyone have any great plans for tonite - I know that Apples is going to a party but what about the rest of you... Me - Gym after work - oh great new.. this morning the scales were back to 138 ((Monday 141) just proof that eating healthy and increase in exercise will take off those extra lbs that got on during the holidays with our over indulgence !!!! After gym my GF is coming over - we are going out to dinner then whatever hits our fancy - but most likely go back to my house and watch a movie - We don't have reservations anywhere - and clubs - bars are too packed for me - but will see - we have a local dive that we may go too... GF doesn't drink - so she will be the DD if we do decide to go out. Ok I gotta get my butt in gear... It's our ye and I gotta make sure all my Dec accounts are billed and that all my 1/1 renewals are bound (I work insurance - commercial lines - businesses - country clubs - contractors etc).. CBL :wink2:

    Bonnie 1st and foremost be proud of what you did for the 1st part of the day - ok so you screwed up and ate those cookies - well we can't change that - so all we can do is move forward Darling I mean this in the kindest way - I am not trying to be mean here - but you are a FOOD ADDICT (we all are so don't feel like the lone ranger here or that I am picking at you) Food is our drug of choice - especially sugar - So from now on think of sugar as a drug - it in its self isn't evil - every thing in moderation it's not that sugar or whatever is bad for you it's that we over indulge in it - we don't just have one - we have to eat it till its all gone So if you can't control it you gotta stay away from it.... It's your drug of choice... If someone delivers cookies - do what I do - tell your family to put them up where you don't know where they are so you can't get to them or after the person leaves throw them away... Or fib a little and say that you are pre-diabitic and can no longer eat sugar... That you really appreciate the thought but you just can't have this kind of stuff in the house anymore.. I know that this seems extreme - but our addiction is extreme - and we have to find ways to avoid our triggers at all cost until we can get a handle on it - if we ever really do - you will see my story below* about this Obesity was listed as one of the causes of death for my baby bro who died on 10/13 and was only 50 yrs old.. He had pneiuomoa (sp) but his heart was SUPER enlarged due to his weight 285.. That's what killed him... COPD - Enlarged Heart - Obesity - only 50 yrs old... *I had to make more Xmas cookie on Sunday as my GS whos 17 and thin was crying that I sent all of them home with his Dad and there wasn't any for him and his cousin - So I made them some - and guess what happen - the old Janet reappeared and I ate 5 of them- one right after another - I just couldn't get enough sugar into me - I wanted more - OMW did I want more - I wanted to eat the whole damn plate.. But I didn't - I told GS they are going in your room - out of my sight It really scared me - the way I was craving the sugar - my heroin... And I am no diff - if you give me a choice between a cookie or candy bar vs an orange or peach - Ya I would rather eat the candy/cookie - but I know that those are empty calorie and they will leave me wanting more. I am not saying that you can never have sugar again - what I am saying is that it's ok to have treats 2% of the time as long as you have eaten healthy 98% of the time.. Heck we have to live life - we go to weddings parties etc - where there all kinds of good food to enjoy. It's not that one piece of cake that made us fat - its was the 2nd, 3rd, 4th pieces that we ate that did it to us... So yes go to the store tomorrow - find the sf treat that I told you about and use them as your treat - enjoy them.. You are headed in the right direction - you are making good choices - but just like a child who is first learning how to walk they take a couple of tumbles before they get it down pat - so you had a little stumble today - that's it - now just get up and keep moving forward.... On the calorie thingie - I would suggest that you don't log your exercise into it - cuz when you do that it's going to give you more calories to eat - I never deducted the calories that I burned from the food I ate during my weight lost phase - think of the calories tht you burn from exercise as a savings account and on your weigh in day (pick one day a week that's your weigh in day) you will be rewarded by the scales moving in the downward direction... I'm here for you - I am no diff than you really - we are really more alike than we are different... Gail you have been on my mind - how are things going for you GF :wink2:- (Bonnie since you are new to this thread - Gail had a miscarriage & then shortly after that her father died - I hope I am remembering this correctly) You have had tough time - so don't beat yourself up about what you haven't done - Now just do what you need to do - take care of you... and not with food A new year is starting - so make that comittment to take care of you and get back on our little band wagon here - you know we are here for you... Hugs to all of you - it's 8:30 - I haven't eaten yet and I need to finish cooking my dinner - well really re-warming it up - fish - broc - rice. Oh ya Bonnie - I ate those cookies remember - but you know what I have done since then - I have eaten a little liter yesterday and today - I went to the gym yesterday got in a 1/2 mile before my weight training session w/my trainer and tonite went and walked my 3 miles on the treadmill tomorrow night weights again with trainer - I am off Thurs & Friday - so will be at the gym one of those days - plus my regular Saturday morning workout... It you gonna eat you gotta pay the piper:tongue2: So tomorrow - walk on your treadmill an extra 20 minutes to help compensate for eating those cookies... That's another way to keep the scales moving in the right direction - if you have over indulged with food - then you have to over indugled with your exercise to make up for those cookies:laugh: Ok gang - I am outta here for the night - I will talk to you all in the morning....     Well went to the gym - did my 3 miles - the scales were back down this morning 139.5 - which I am fine with - but like my 138 better... So tomorrow Weights and then Saturday treadmill - may even go Friday morning since I am off.. My gf Debbie is coming over tomorrow night around 7 - don't ask me why so late - I think I am going to tell her 6 - 7' late- and then we are going out to dinner - where I don't know especially without reservations and most likely come back here and watch a movie then Dick Clark Any body got any big plans for tomorrow... I do have to work - but will have Friday off - so another 4 day weekend - Yea

    During my weight loss phase - I worked out 4-5 X a week Now I work out 2 X a week with Trainer on weights and 1 or 2 days on the treadmil (vary between 3.0 speed incline 8 and 4.2 incline 2)

    LOL - Yes Kari - after over a year and a half of pouring out hearts and souls to each other - I think we all know each other better than most of the pple in our actual lives do.. Candice - great on your calories today - tomorrow (or really today )- try for around 1000 - I really find that variing them really keeps your metabolizm going... Karri Glad you had a good time - came back a winner in both the cash and weight dept. Moving to Vegas... Well that puts you closer to me - so that really sounds good - it's a 4ish hour drive... I love that you guys are adventrous - I have lived in Indio all my life - I think it's good to move - and like you said - you now know were to work and what schools to avoid.. I have total faith that you guys will find what right for both of you...

    Bonnie It's ok not to be a morning person - it's all about what works for you... But you need more than 2 meals a day - that's why you are starving at 4 - Make that your lunch time - as I said before make your eating times around your schedule - it doesn't have to be 8am 12pm 5 pm You need to stay away from slider foods and eat hard Proteins - You need to make sure you are taking small bites - chewing and eating slowly when eating hard proteins - This is the hardest part for all of us.. When we are starving we tend to eat fast and not chew - we scarf down the food like it's not going to be there in an hour - We aren't in a 3rd world country where we have to worry about where our next meal is coming from.. I am far from being an organized person nor am I a super detailed person but from all my years of doing whatever type of diet - reading about health etc - I could be a dietitian - I just never practiced what I knew. It took me having major frickin surgery to get my head on straight - going to the extreme of having surgery was my AH HA MOMENT... That and age - I really truly did this so that I could add a few more years to my life - as you know when you hit 50 your whole perspective about the year you have left and the quality of your life changes.. Well for me it has - I want to be around to see my grandkids grow up and maybe see some great grandkids... I wanted to be able to travel - walk and not be exhausted - I had to do something - cuz prior to being banded all I did was sleep & eat my weekends away.. If you are hungry at 11 p.m - have a healthy snack - it's ok as long as you are within your calorie budget for the day... I am a night eater - So I take my calories for the day and work them to feed me when I am hungry - This whole thing about eating before 7 or not after 8 is b.s. IMHO - You gotta make this lifestyle change work for you - so if you are up half the night and sleep til noon - the make your eating fit that schedule plain and simple - That's the great part about being an adult you get to make your own set of rules. I like my sweets too - but again - you gotta feed them with the sf stuff - and I have found that for me it's just as good as the real stuff in fact the real stuff is my heroin - once I start I want more and more.. But with the sf stuff it doesn't drive me to want more and more.. Remember Hope is not an option !!!! I will accomplish my goals!!!! SF = sugar free :party: I am glad to hear you are an exercise person - I wasn't prior to banding - I was a total slug bug... Yes you have to know your limitation and work with them - I totally agree - movement of any kind is better than none at all... All of this - logging - planning - measuring - weight your foods are all just a learning tool - you don't have to do it forever but just until you get the hang of what's really normal I have pple (people) telling me all the time I eat like a bird - I don't. I eat normal healthy portion sized - look on the back of a container of whatever you are eating - it's usually a 1/2 c - I eat 1/2 c rice - 1/2 veggies & 4 oz of Protein - that's normal - our world is now a days all about super sizing - well that's how we all got to be super sized.. Doesn't take a rocket scientist to figure that one out -------------------------------------------------------

    Becky - you had a light food day today... I will have one of those frozen meals every now and then too - not often but just sometimes... As far as feeling and looking thin - Heck I look in the mirror and some day I say omg you are still fat - but heck I can't be fat - I am in a 4 or 6 pants - that part of your brain is never going to change - somedays you are going to see a fat person - but remember you aren't you are losing - since you havent updated your ticker -it's not showing anymore how much more to you have to go to goal.. You have lost 55 lbs so far that's great in 6 months - be patient it will come and again even when you are a size 6 you will on some days still see that 200+ in the mirror.. So don't sweat it ok GF - You are doing GREAT - I am really proud of you - Well it's 8:10 - I gotta go cook my fish - having fish - collard greens & a little rice Talk to you all tomorrow - Sweet Dreams - Hugs & Love Janet

Your dinner sounds good - I have gym tonite - took out fish - had to make xtra xmas cookies last night for GS & his friend cuz I sent all of them home with DS & DIL cuz I didn't want them in the house - well last night Andrew was bitching that Janelle & him didn't have any - so got this premade dough that I just had to press the cookie cutter into (pillsbury readymade) and made them cookies - when I get home they are going in his room - I am done done done with cookies - I ate 6 last night :eek: I felt like the old me - had one then just had to have another - then another - I am done - done -done..... That's my confession - your unoffical leader has her weak moments too :wink: I am not perfect :sad: and I sorta scared myself:whatchutalkingabout with that behavior :frown:

    Bonnie - I guess I am lucky my GS who lives with me likes stuff I don't like - like chip ahoy cookies - vanilla ice cream. If you like ice cream - buy healthy choice fudgecicles 80 calories for one bar - SF Jello dark choc puddings 60 c per- these are the things that I eat - I have also found breyer sf ice cream 1/2 c 80 calories for vanilla - but here you have to measure - thats why I like the ice cream bars.. Buy sobert that you don't like - put it in the back of the freezer so you don't have to see. Tell your family that food is your DRUG of choice - would they keep a bottle of booze on the counter if you were an alcoholic??? It's no diff for us - they have to understand that we are addicted to food .. Sounds like you have restriction - well at least in the mornings. How is it throughout the rest of the day - besides slider foods (ie ice cream) How much Protein in that yogurt - how many calories - I looked it up it could be 130 for only 1/2 cup then you add fruit - 25 - Nuts could be as much as 170 depending on the size of your hand:lol: 7 calories per nut... lunch really should be something more substantial - than fruit & cheese - again need to up the protein.. suppose to have minimum 60 grams a day.. As to dinner - can't you eat when you want ?? I know it's about family - but again - this is about you too and you are important and should be able to eat when you want - or you could adjust your Snacks so that you have one around 5-6 when you are hungry and then that could tide you over till dinner with the rest of the family or if you want to sit with them during their dinner and visit - you could make yourself a little salad - or just eat veggies with them since you ate your dinner at 5 or 6. You all have to be flexible and think outside the box here - if your optimal eating schedule would be Breakfast around 10 a.m. (200 calories) Lunch around 1-2 (200 calories)- Snack around 5-6 (150 calories) - dinner 8-9 (300-400 calories) - night snack (150 calories) that totals 1000-1100 calories in a day. During my weight loss phase I ate between 800 - 1200 calories a day and varied them. Or you could have your dinner around 5-6 - then a budget healthy snack - like what ever veggies your DH cooked for dinner to eat with them while they are eating their dinner. One pot wonder - I sauté onion, bell peppers, jalapeño in a little olive oil till tender add meat cook till browned - add rice or red potato & veggies - 1 can of tomato sauce a little water - garlic salt & pepper and cook until done... Are you keeping a food diary - Dailyplate.com or fitday.com are both good sites - it is prove that pple who keep food diaries do better than the pple who don't - I kept my food diary for the 1st yr.. I lost 100 lbs in 1 yr 1 week.. You are doing great on the exercise :frown:- how many miles did you get in that 50 minutes - at what speed are you walking - have you been exercising since your surgery... How many days aweek do you exercise. You need to eat to keep your metabolism going... You can't starve yourself - You just need to focus on eating healthy cutting out as much sugar and refined carbs that you can.. I eat a little carbs/starch and pretty much stay away from candy cookies etc - I eat sf treats 99% of the time. And no unplanned treats - I plan plan plan... So sit down write out a weeks menu - and stick to it as best you can - it's not about dieting but eating healthy within your calorie budget.. Like I said I follow a WW type eating plan which imho is the most balanced of all the eating programs out there as you get a little of everything even treats !!!- I don't count point but did count calories...

    I love it - "Earl" control :huggie: Are you really sick - or just don't want to go back cuz of all the drama :tongue2: I haven't been sick - knock on wood since being banded so I can't help there. It's 64 and sunny here today 64 is cold for me :huggie: Your plan is a good one - Candice you really can get to goal - it's not that hard once you wean yourself off the sugar :huggie: and get to exercise. I met a Dr Bobby patient for lunch- she had bypass but still a nice lady :huh2:- we are going to meet once a month for lunch. She had surgery 10/21 lost 41 lbs has 50 something to go - she is worried cuz so many bypass patients gain their weight back - told her - the is not a diet but a lifestyle change... She's from NY - funny wonderful lady.. We went to chineese - shared a half order - between the 2 of us - total bill $8.08 - Way to go...

If it's not in the house you can't eat it - if it's your trigger food then it's best not to have it around// You can lose the weight - I did and I am no diff than you. Remember this isn't a diet it's about eating healthy & exercising. What are you eating - give me a typical days food and are you getting any exercise..     I could never be a foster parent - I would get attached and it would break my heart to let them go - and also at my age I really don't want the responsiblity of a 2 & 3 yr old - heck Brooke wore me out after just a few days - I just don't have the patience... My Dad & 2 bros have/had asthma - so I know how that goes... My Dad had his last rites twice when he was 19 & 20... Well, I don't know what's up but I got on the scales this morning up 3 lbs - guess who is working her butt off this week at the gym... I had a bit of salt last night - so maybe that's it - ya right Janet - wishful thinking - it's those damn Xmas cookie - I am so glad they are gone - but don't know how I have gained 3 lbs in 1 day..

    Phyl Sorry you guys didn't get to the tram... Tomorrow should be good time to go - eveyone back to work... As far as the eating out goes - it's life - Here's something to do - when you get your food ask for a to go container right away and then box up half your dinner right then and there - that way you won't be tempted to over eat - cuz if food is in front of me even if I am full I will keep picking at it.. A little pasta isn't going to kill you.. Don't skip your exercise either.. Hope Tarcy gets better - who has the baby now or is he with you guy too... Denise - Hugs GF for your depression:girl_hug:... Get out of the house tomorrow - or watch some funny movies.. Uhm - fried oysters - sounds good I have never had them - but I like anything fried and I RARELY have fried anymore - maybe a taco once a month if that... I really enjoy a treadmill - I put on my ipod and jam away while I walk - otherwise it's to boring - or you can tivo your fav show and watch while you walk... My suggestion is to get it - it will help with your weight loss - I am a big beleiver in exercise as you all know Candice - Ok I love the accountablity !!!- NO MORE ICE CREAM... You did good today..     I'm Back - took GD to gf house then went to wallgreens - have to spend the $$ on my flex card before 12/31 - then went to target - looked around got some sf coffee mate - juice and that was it - came home made dinner - read and responded to some emails - and I am back - Ok PJ - I found this that I sent to someone a while back I follow a modified weight watchers eating plan (I don't count points or exchanges)- I do eat carbs not alot but do have some daily - I can not do Atkins - I gotta have my starches - Here is a variety of what I may eat for each meal Breakfast Weight Control oatmeal 1/2 c eggbeater omelet with a little cheese & maybe ham - add onions, bell peppers, jalapenos (Weekends) Dannon Light & Fit yogurt - with 1/4 cup granola or banana 1/2 PBJ sandwich made on light bread or ham sandwich or 3 oz of tuna out of the can 2 hard boiled eggs - or eggsalad Protein drink (rarely but every now and then - had one this morning) 1/2 c raisin bran. lunch Left over from the night before or my One Pot Wonders One Pot Wonders - I make these up but usually has the following stuff in it - you can throw together what ever you want ground turkey or cut up pork chop - chicken - hamburger (lean) it usually consist of - onion, bell pepper, garlic, zuchinee or cabbage, 1/4 cup uncooked rice, , jalapeno, - I make this on Sunday night and have lunch for the week I go out to eat once a week or maybe every 2 weeks - might go to Togos - will have 1 cup Soup - or a salad - if we do mexican - I have a taco (usually eat about 1/2 to 3/4 of it) and some Beans - Chinese - 1/4 cup rice - orange chicken or mushsu pork. - El pollo loco chicken with beans and maybe 1 tortilla Dinner 4 oz fish (catfish usually 90% of the time) baked in olive oil - garlic salt & pepper may vary toppings - sometimes add a little parmesans cheese - or el pato mexican tomato sauce - or dip it in eggbeater and roll it in corn meal spray with pam and bake - I do have salmon sometimes. Turkey meat loaf 1/4 - 1/2 cup rice 1/2 c mashed potatoes - Veggies - spinach - zucchini yellow crooked neck- brussle sprouts - french style green beans - green beans, cauliflower refried beans & cheese steak 4 oz Or bbq hamburger patty rare 1/2 baked potatoes chicken - bbq or just baked or cooked in red sauce (chili colorado sauce) and serve over rice ground beef or ground turkey -with onion bell pepper garlic corn cook with tomato sauce - serve over mashed potatoes or rice. One Pot Wonder - another one - turkey kelbash (sp) bell pepper onion garlic red tatoes cabbage... Snacks - Normally saved for the evenings don't eat them during the day.. 100 c popcorn packs South Beach Protein Bar strawberries fresh - watermelon - or whatever is in season Healthy Choice sugar free fudge cicle Jello double choc sugar free puddings Dry roasted edamanmes Light string cheese with 3 crackers I keep a food diary - I log calories and protein grams (i am still doing this am I will be 8 months out on the 17th)- I bought a scales that gave me calories and other facts - but now am good at eyeballing my servings - I eat off a sandwich/dessert plate - have a little bowl that's 1 cup - I keep my calories around 1000 - 1200 max. I exercise 3 -4 times a week 3.5 miles on the treadmill speed 3.5 to 4.0 and do some hills. average anywhere form 40 - 50 miles walked in 1 month.. The highlighted blue items are what i normally eat 95% of the time. I eat very healthy 98% of the time and allow myself 2% eating out or something higher in calories (might have 10 chips and 1/4 c sour cream once every 2 months) - for me this is a lifetime lifestyle change in my eating - I have found that I crave my veggies I use to eat very high fat - would graze all night long (still am a night time eater but budget my calories to compensate for it) You don't eat fish - so that's out but sounds like you are making pretty good choices when out.. Tonights dinner is a one pot wonder - onion, bell pepper, jalapeno - garlic - hamburger - zuchinee - rice - tomato sauce Water and some el pato Becky is usually good about reporting what she eats - So Ladies - Give PJ examples of what you are eating - she needs some ideas... The fat issue just made sense to me since gf who isn't banded lost her hair on medifast - so you think you get enough fat - oh ya you are a Texas Girl .... You most likely do - My Mom was from TX - and southern food is all fried - I use olive oil on my fish - I use a little I can't believe it's butter marg & spray on my rice and veggie - I use butter pam on my popcorn.. I understoon - taking your mom to the movies & dinner - I am always dropping words or typing now for no - or here for hear - and you all still understand what I am saying :Banane20: ------------------ Lori - I think you have me beat in the shopping department - I use to shop almost every weekend !!! ---------------------------------------------------- Becky - yep I sometimes will eat veggies first cuz they look so good - and then i have to wait a bit to eat my meat - Oh I am glady you didn't bp for an hour - I have heard that some pple do... Glad you got ride of those 3 lbs - 55 lost is SUPER... I seriously doubt you need the 5 day pouch test - you are very good about what you eat on a normal basis - holidays just don't count Ok dinners done = I am hungry - will talk to ya'll in the morning - Sweet Dreams...
