Fantastic that DH is back at work - Well the 19th is next week - it will be here before you know it - I can't beleive tomorrows Friday... Where did the week go... Glad you are back walking and the tracking will help too and hopefully you will get to your sweet spot with this next fill. It helps alot - but it's still work - I really could go eat something right now .. chips are in the pantry or some cheese & crackers - but alas - those aren't too healthy for me - and it's all about the health... Have any of you been watching Oprah this week... I'm not as big on her as I use to be - But what they are talking about - finding balance (finding time for YOU) - eating healthy - exercise - etc is all the same stuff I keep spouting off about.. This is why I am so vilgalent (sp) on my posting (well 98% of the time) it keeps me in check about what I am doing - I am talking the talk so I have to walk the walk...

What's up with the reply section - they took away spell check and yes I did use it sometime and now the smilies are on the side and you can't see all of them :tt2: Plus little Sheba (my kitty) is now in front of the darn monitor and I can't see - ok now she's gone.. Yep Donna - I have those soy bean thingie - I got mine at Fresh & Easy (like a trader joes) and the sell them at costco too.. The are good when you want something salty and crunchy... Great on the protein too.. Denise - Are you able to control your Mom's hording now that she's with you - Hows that going??? Well, like I said - I am back to Me - Have 2 big accounts that renew on 1/15 - so have been really busy... I ck'd the thread this morning - but never got a chance to check again.. Well, here was my food so far today - Breakfas 1 cup dry Cereal (kasha cinnimon shredded wheat) 1/4 of a pear - lunch 4 oz hamburger patty 1/4 c rice 1/2 c broc - I am starving right now - dinner will be fish - veggies and rice - but taco's sounds better and there is a little hamburger in the fridge so we will see what I end up eating.. Well, girls - just cking in - will cbl.. What happend to spell ck - I do use it sometimes - I know that's a hard one to beleive yes I know that my spelling is bad - but mostly it's my typing...

As to the letter - I think it's a good idea - just to get the whole thing out of your system - they say to write them and throw them away afterwards... Otherwise - you are going to keep replaying it in your mind. 80 yrs old - OMW - I don't know if she really understands or knows what she's doing - she is of the age where she doesn't understand about being PC - I have a gf who works but in a small one girl kind of office- she doesn't' know the 1st thing about being PC - and some pple are just inappropriate period.. I have been talking to alot of pple and they too have been blah... So I am normal :thumbs_up: - OK well maybe not totally :glare:. Karri - Hugs baby girl - I really wish you could get to a sweet spot and stay there - It seems like you are always either too tight or too loose - not just right... Creams soups - that's what you gotta do to get your calories & nutrition in while you are so tight - I am a popcorn girl too but it has no nutritional value... You need nutrition.... I don't have the total receipt yet - but a girl here at work had cream of broc soup yesterday - it looked and smelled wonderful - ingredients - Broc (cooked 1st), Mushrooms- Lite cream cheese - 2% cheddar cheese - NF Milk - and I think a little chicken broth - garlic salt & pepper - I personally would add some onions - but for me onions & garlic are in everything I cook... Clam chowder... is another Dav of mine - I ate this when I was 1st banded.. As to this site being blocked - I'm lucky - I'm buds with our IT person - so I am covered in that area... Denise - you were up for a VP position at one of your schools how cool is that - Sorry you didn't get it but still I think that's a great that they thought of you - Heck most likely didn't get it cuz you do too good of a job at what you do and they don't want to have to replace you... OMW - you do have TONS OF CRAP to deal with - Hugs - I know I couldn't do it and I really like what Karri does - handles it herself - I think that's great and should be done that way - I watched To Sir With Love over the weekend (one of my most fav movies) and Sidney Poiter was a prime example of being a real teacher... The kind of teacher you remember for your entire life.. Phyl - Poor Earl - ya I think a smaller airplane to practice with is a great idea - the pillow thing was way too funny.. Candice - I AM SO PROUD OF YOU !!! You are doing really great w/your food - and those quilts are just beautiful.... Kari - You might not be getting to the gym - but you are still exercising - just think - before your surgery - you would just be sitting on your butt doing nothing - now we do try and get the exercise in no matter what form - must move... WTG :thumbup:

Ok I read quickly - and then phone ran - it was DS ans now it's 8:30 and I really need to go eat = but I have to coment on one thing before I go - I will respond to the others in the morning. Phyl - Hugs Hugs Hugs - You need to sit down and write that STUPID STUPID lady a letter and explain how insenative her remarks are - how rude they are - I can't beleive it - but I would have to tell her something - she is just a stupid dimwit - no brains - but you gotta say something to her - I think a letter would be best. Why can't she just be happy for you and your weight loss - end of story... Hugs - Janet

Joann - Not getting stuck is a good thing and doesn't mean that you are in the need of a fill - You aren't getting stuck cuz you are the Perfect bander that I knew you would be... How much are you eating per meal - this burp feeling are you getting it between meals and not when you drink. As I have said before - my band doesn't take away my hunger - real or precived - it's 7 and I am ready to eat - I am truly hunger - I had lunch at Noon and then before the gym tonite a few raisins & 1 teaspoon peanutbutter... How is it when you drink Water - I have seem to loosen up a bit in that department - but I can get stuck on water if I drink it too fast and exercise seems to make me tighter for a bit.. Yes measurement is a great tool too to see your progress and keeping a pair of your fat pant and trying them on 6 months later - I had a dress that fit me when I was in the 200 range - It didn't fit when I was 250 - well I tried it on after I got to goal - OMW - I told my gs how come you never told me I was that fat... Let us know what the doc says - but sounds like you have it all on under control.. Becky - How wonderfull that you are into your smaller stuff - it just keeps getting better - next yr at this time you will try on your 16 and they will be too big.. Lori - OMW you are busy on Wed - I hope the springs stuff is marked down - cuz I am going to need some new stuff this yr... Hell I bet clothes are marked up just like jewelry.. Well, Gang I am feeling like the me again - Thank God !!! I hated being blah - but in talking to a lot of pple they have been feeling the same way - so I don't feel like the lone ranger - Well my dinner is done and like I said I'm hungry and it's now 7:28 - so I am off to eat... Steph - Ya the new one IS yours.... I had chinese for lunch too - but the musho pork didn't go down well - the orange chicken did better - I think it was the green onions and sprouts that even when chewed they still stay stringy OMG Girl you can do this when you put your darn mine to it... WTG:thumbup:

Joann A lot of pple can't eat in the mornings until later or after they have has something hot to drink - that's normal from what I have read here on LBT.. When do you get this feeling (bubble/need to burp) for me that's the full sign... For me that's the food not going down as fast as you would like.. 18 lbs and all those inch - CONGRATULATIONS JOANN you are doing great !!!! My doc won't fill if you have lost weight without one ... I went once and wanted a fill he said no you have lost 17 lbs in 2 months you don't need one..

Hey Gang - I am going over to my GF's house to cook her and her DH dinner - Guess what I am making - my famous catfish ... Her DH has blood clots in his lungs and isn't doing super well - it's been 5 weeks since discovered - so I am going over there after work - so don't think I will be back on tonite.. Didn't want anyone worrying about me - I am fine :0)

Good Morning Gang How is everyone today??? I'm at work - day started 4:47 when my fur babies woke me up - I don't need an alarm - I have them :0)... in fact I don't think the alarm went off - I better ck that tonite QVC has a great TSV for the newly banded - the biggest loser food scale - it's a great buy at $43 - my scale that does the same thing cost $100.. I think it's a great tool to use - I still pull mine out everynow and then when I am making something that I don't know the serving size for - especially when I make pasta... Well better get my butt in gear.. I will cbl:tongue:

Good Morning Gang QVC TSV is the biggest loser food scale only $43 buck - I think I paid $100 for mine.. It's a great value and very good for the newbies as a training tool IMHO.. Well, I am at work - getting ready to start my day - well really my day started at 4:47 :wub: but now I have to work. Not much to report - watched a little tv and then went to bed - started a Southern book - Crazy Ladies - Michele Lee West - I am not sure I have read it before but the spin isn't cracked - so I don't think I have but it's a little familar - but it's the kind of book that makes you laugh... Ok off to ck my desk - will cbl..

I feel better after the gym tonite - I just ck'd for ticket & hotel -heck for me it from palm springs it's $425 - I need your travel agent - the hotel is only $60 but it's the flight... Driving time is about 4 hours - could leave Saturday Morning - get there around noon - have all day & night on Saturday and drive home on Sunday.. But don't really want to intrude on you and your gf time ;0).. She might not like us :0)... I need to go to texas next month - I better check out how much that's going to cost me... Well its almost 8 I am hungry - need to go cook - Again ladies - I am feeling better - trainer had me laughing and I did a clean & jerk with a 40lbs bar bell... pretty good for an old broad hey...

Back from the gym - feelling better - my trainer & workout partner had me laughing... I did a clean & jerk with 40 lbs bar bell... and I am doing so much better on my balance and lunges... I am so much stronger than I was a year a go .. Apples - I don't like pain meds either too much they make me sick to my tummy - expect demoral... I sure hope they get it fixed on what you can take cuz I wouldn't want those damn stones -

Denise - I am under Janet Wright... I will look for you too.. Steph - I can't put my finger on it - I don't think it's about my brother's death - could be part of it - just dealing with his estate and heck I have enough just handleing my own life.. Let alone paying his bills etc I am pretty selfish when it comes to me :wink_smile: - I just don't feel like doing much of anything - I don't feel like shopping - well not till spring stuff comes out - cuz will need some stuff for my cruise in March. I need to read a good old southern book that makes you happy and laugh. I did nap some this weekend - and that felt funny but good - worries me cuz that's what I use to do - but now I don't eat myself to sleep. It did feel good to be unplugged like Donna says - 24/7 info is just way too much - heck I barely watch the news lately just too depressing... I think I just need some fun.. Wanted to see a happy movie on New Years Eve - but there are no happy movies right now all the ones out are deep and depressing...

Charlene - LMAO - I don't do gulit - I'm just good at giving it.. LOL But no really.... I do feel a little guilty when I don't post at least here.. I think they may need me for something - but hell you guys are really really good banders so I know that you will survive a day or 2 without me.. I don't feel depresses - just blah... can't put my finger on it. I'm thinking I need my D vitimans - just ate 2 Calcium w/d in them right now.. This to shall pass - I think that just getting back into my routine will help... Apples glad you passed those stones - OMW when I had my DS they gave me a gas mask - and I was asleep during his birth - I'm not into pain - I hate pain. I had no desire to watch him being born... Band rules - protein 1st - then veggies then carbs if any room along with calories - I am FIRM believer in tracking especially for the 1st year - by then end of the 1st year you have pretty much programed yourself how you should be eating... What about exercise - it's key too - to lose weight we must burn more calories than we eat = 3500 calories = 1 lbs... PJ - Congrats on your 40 lbs !!! WTG Apples hugs on your kidney stones - omw I hear they hurt terribly... Phyl - I knew the potatoes was going to get you :0).... I still eat carbs just very few for the most part... I go to DMV this morning to renew my license - they want me to take an eye test and get a new pic - the one on my lcense is from 95 - my weight on my license is 130 - well at least now it will only be an 8 lbs lie instead of 112 :thumbup: After that have to take GD to airport - then to work - I don't know what's up with me - just no motivation - have tons of stuff I could do - cleaning - but who wants to do that ---

Good Morning Gang Sorry I have been MIA for 2 whole days - I have been kinda blue - not really blue but just don't know what to do with myself - I guess I just needed to veg for a day or 2.. I think it might because I haven't been taking my vitimans - I did last night. Joann - I am like you - out of the house and for those of us who can do it - I do think it makes it so much easier... How do you feel now that you have been banded an on reg food.. Charlene - Hugs on the GD issue hope she is ok now..- Yep it would be hard to be a kid w/no sweets period espcially during the holidays Gail - Like Phyl said - small plates - small forks etc - I buy those kid ones at target for $1.00 Becky - Yes tiny bites - that's the hardest just like Phyl said and she and I were banded just a week apart and we still stuggle with small bites - chewing and eating slowly... Sliders go down a whole lot easier and we can eat more. Becky aren't you joining a gym this week... Yesterday I had some left over steak - 4 bites full physically but not mentally - as I have said a trillion times before - this is why we tend to eat softer foods - we aren't mentally full on 3-4 bites... Well, My license expires this month - so this morning I have to go to DMV to take an eye test and get a new picutre - my current pic is from 95 - my weight has always been 130 on my license - so now it will be closer to the truth by 8 lbs not 112 off :thumbup: Well, the holidays are really over now - back to our regular schedule - for me since I have the trainer I haven't really varied from my exercise - plus I have been making sure I get my 3 miles in cuz I know it will counter the extra sweets that I have eaten.. Ok - just cking in - I will cbl :wink_smile:

Hugs Charlene - Yep beans great source of protein :tongue2: Ya it's about the unemployment - that's such a shame - Prayer are being said... I will have to ck that site out... How was your hotel party on New Years - Bet you had a great time.. My4akkids - Welcome - Ya it sounds like a pain - but it will be worth it - I was lucky ppo got approved real fast and my doc's office scheduled all my million of preop test.. One of my orignal lucky #7 girls was from Alaska too - and she had to travel like you to go to the doctor.. I am lucky my doc is 20 miles away... Bonnie - Girl - you are ok - Like I said before you have to figure out what works for you - I eat a snack pack of popcorn most nights - and I will have 2 puddings and a fudgecicle in one night - I budget my calories to compensate for the times that I am hungry.. If you are within your calorie budget for the day - you are fine.. I know that pple will disagree with me - but if you haven't eaten all day - and get all your calories in between - 5 - midnite - so what - I do that somedays - it's what works for me - today I had a skinny latte 100 c then dinner enchillada 300 calories beans 130 calories - popcorn 100 calories - hot choc 100 calories and I will have some pudding later The only thing that I would consider a slip is the real choc and that's cuz of the calories.. And yes knowing it's that are cravings isn't really about food most of the time is a great accomplishment.. You has a stressfull day - where you were doing for others and wanting food was about you... Your reward to yourself - but it's not that comforting when we realize that it's not really food that we are craving but attention..

Becky On the pottery stuff on QVC - I saw it too - I wanted the dessert plates - cuz that's the size of plates I eat off of.. But the one I liked sold out - I need to go check out the website... I am worth having something nice to eat off of so I think that's where I am headed right now since it's quite here right now... I agree it's a little pricey - but really beautiful - I don't entertain so I don't know if I would buy all those pieces - heck my GS - DS - DIL would not appreciate a beautiful dish - Well my DIL might :tongue2:

Denise - I want to eat all evening long no matter what I eat - I am not kidding you - food really is my drug - once I start I just don't want to quit - Daytime I can deal with it pretty much cuz I am at work and I don't have stuff to snack on at my desk - just my breakfast and lunch - but at home - OMW I have to be very very dilgent in what I eat... Popcorn is a slider - but a life saver for me - if it wasn't for those 100 c snack packs - I would be a goner - I had 2 sf dark choc puddings with walnuts last night ... Thanks Livn4Jesus - That's sweet !!! Love it Apples !!!! Yep - I want sugar more so now that I have indulged in those Xmas cookies - but like you the sf stuff is good enought for me... Can't do the kisses - cuz I would keep going back - one or 2 wouldn't be enough.... -
Yep I have a SuperTarget 1 block from my house - along with a Marshalls - Had some brie & pastrami on sourdough and a piece of bacon smoked chedder cheese - yum... but that was it Oh ya a skinny latte w/x shot expresso & sf hazelnut - another yum...- I went to Marshalls got some Michael Khors jeans w/sailor front - Nine West top with navy blue cream & orange in it with a orange elbow length sweater over it.. Ya - the combination (cabbage/peas) sounded icky that's why I asked:smile: - I am hungry - sounds good - just made the kids some enchillidas - I guess I will have some cuz I am to lazy to cook something else - plus I go to the gym again tomorrow
