No I just ck'd his webiste it's not there - doesn't look like it's been updated in a while When we filmed the commercial - they said they would give us dvd's of it - so I emailed the office and asked them about it - waiting to hear back - if I get the dvd I can most likely upload it somewhere like utube or something and post a link to it...

Sue - OMW it's been a long time since you posted... Sorry that you are struggling too... I guess I just have been lucky - I don't feel that I am dieting- I don't feel deprived - I allow for treats - but know that my drug of choice is food and I don't want to be addicted any longer... I want to stay healthy - I want to continue to feel as good as I do right now .. I know that if I allowed myself to eat like i use to I would put the weight back on - some days are harder than others - but in the long run - you gotta remember why you had the surgery to being with.. To improve your life - this time in our lives is about us - We need to take care of us before we can take care of anyone else - we need to learn to love us - not with food but with deep understanding that we are beatiful and wonderful - we are worth something - we are worth the struggle to have a good life - and yes sometimes it's a struggle - but I will tell you getting to goal is worth the battle - and it's so doable... And if you slip don't wait for tomorrow to get back what you loss in that one slip - get back on track immediately.. Hugs -

Hugs 1st & formost for the struggles Lizelee BUT Now!!!- here comes the kick in the butt... NO MORE EXCUSES - that's all you are doing is making excuses and that hunger you feel every hour on the hour is your addiction talking not true physical hunger - your addiction manifest it's self into you thinking your are truly hungry but you really aren't.. You even state food is a stress releiver - Do you know how many calories are in a protien bar - too many to be snacking on the all day long - might as well eat a real candy bar for the same amount of calories.. I tracked my food in a little note book - I only used the computer to look up calories... TODAY IS YOUR TOMMORROW !!! This very second - is your tommorrow Throw out the crap right now - just do it - don't think about it... Remember this isn't a diet and I really think that's where so many people fail at this - they think they are on a diet and once the fall off the wagon - that's it... It's really really about just eating healthy - making a lifetime lifestyle change - come on now - we are the 50+ gang - we have been on every fricken diet known to mankind and used every kind of drug - but did any of them ever work in the long run - NO-why - cuz you went back to eating normal which is what got us fat in the first place... So quit depriving yourself.. That's what this is about ... You feel deprived cuz you think you are On diet... and the more you want to eat least - the more that addiction is calling your name telling you to eat more - give me more.. STOP.. FEED YOURSELF - THAT'S RIGHT I AM GIVING YOU PERMISSION TO EAT... You get 3 meals a day and 2-3 healthy snacks That's tons of food and you know what us fat chicks think that we are never going to eat again - like we are from some 3rd world country where we don't know where our next meal is coming from!!! You know that you can go 3 hrs without eating - you aren't going to die from stravation - but you know what willl kill you - obesity.... Keep Breakfast & lunch around 200 calories each - Dinner around 300 calorie & 3 snacks at 100 c each - that's 1000 calories for the day - vary them 800 one day 1000 the next. I use it everytme I am tempted to buy that candy bar while in the check out line - NO UNPLANED TREATS.. I got this from Apples During the holiday - I ate normal - had normal holiday food prime rib - mashed tatoe - veggies and I had planned treats - Xmas Cookies and more than just a couple :scared2: and I did this Thanksgiving & Christmas & New years eve - and you know what I didn't gain - those 3 days of adding a few little extras - didn't put on 3 lbs.. Why cuz I didn't use those holidays as an excuse to feed my addiction - to relapse and turn to food for my solices.. for my comfort - I want to be free of that addiction - I want to be free of foods hold on me - its just stupid food - it's nothing - but it can ruin your life for sure - just like alchol and drugs... You are so right in that cookies chips etc go down alot easier than the hard proteins do - but those are unhealthy foods - those are foods that you allow only as planned treats every now and then.. Ok on to the exercise - OMW I don't have -any degree weather - but in the summer time I have 100+ degree weather - turn on the frickin t.v. if you are stuck in the house march in place while you watch your fav program - heck I bet if you look hard enough you would find some old vcr or dvd exercise tapes.... But them in and do them. Go mop the floors even if they don't need them - it's exercise all the same.. PULL UP THOSE BOOTSTRAPS LIZALEE - Come - you didn't come this far to let the devil food control you - you have the tool - now women up !!!! and do the work that needs to be done... Y ou are woman you are strong This isn't a diet you can eat real food - just not poision junk food - wean yourself off those real sugars and refinded carb - Remember you can have 1/2 cup of rice for dinner 120 but you gotta eat 4 oz of hard protein 1st then 1/2 c veggies - then you get that rice if you have any room leftr.. If you get hungry a few hours later- make a snack pack of popcorn - eat one piece at a time... Drink your water too - that does help ... Remember it's not that one slice of cake once a month that got us fat in the first place - it was cuz we ate 2 - 3 -4 pieces if not the whole darn thin in 1 or 2 day.. Ok - was that a good enough kick in the butt for you... Remember Tough Band Love - Love being the operative word here... Hugs - You can do this... -

Guess what - My TV Commercial is airing !!! I haven't seen it yet - but one of my bosses just told me he say it.. I am going to have to go home and tivo channel 3 for 24 hrs straight... I can't wait to see it.. -
MY COMMERCIAL IS BEING SHOWN ON TV !!!! I haven't seen it yet !!! One of my bosses said that he saw me on tv the other morning !!! Well no more QVC in the mornings while getting ready for work - I will have channel 3 (KESQ) On I am going to call the Dr Office they were suppose to give us dvd's - then somehow I will figure out how to upload it....

My commercial is airing on tv !!! I haven't seen it yet - but was told by one of my bosses that he saw me on t.v. the other day :0) Oh I can't wait to see it... I am going to have to watch more t.v.

Yes - I agree you need to get your knee looked at once you get to goal - you don't want to have that pain when you will be feeling so good - You will want to be able to use all your new found energy.. QVC - OMW - my weakness - I am now into the Chaz Dean cleaning conditioner - I have fine hair - I thought it would weigh it down - but it's so much more bouncier - I love the stuff - it takes a minute to get use to the idea of not shampoing with soap - but it's really really good - i should go write a review... Pure Grace is my signature scent - All my gold is from QVC along with my diamondique (sp) - I wear my real diamond rings at home but when traveling wear my diamondique :0) My watches are qvc too...

Oh so you did have a problem for a while... Shame on those nurses - I hope the doctor instructed them to take these types of things a little more seriously... Ya sometimes - it's best to give us the stuff you love even when it's sf - I know I have to becareful too- I had some sf (splenda) vanilla wafer Cookies - 4 for 110 c - well 4 turned into 6 - 6 turned into 8 - threw the damn things away... They just increased my craving for more and more just like real sugar will do.. -
LONG CONGRATULATIONS Yes you were losing very fast for months - but as you said it will come as long as you follow the rules eat healthy & exercise - - That's what I have done and I'm 22 lbs under my goal weight I saw that Tony guy on QVC saturday night - looked kinda hard - then yesterday watch ali with rick they pissed me off they said that she didn't need surgery cuz she did it on her own and not wls... BS - she is young and genetics played a big part - I did like the biggest loser cook book though.. I would think that Zumba would be a little hard on your knees.. Heck w/QVC you can use the tape for 30 days then send it back - OBTW - Gold Rush is on Saturday and I will miss - we I could take my laptop and then ck it out when I am in the room - but lately the stuff on gold rush hasn't been that great - plus the price of gold is up so much - but I could use a new pair of hoops... - can never have too many hoops.. Well back to work :0)

I love the name change - we use to do that when we were in high school - And to me you are Peaches - You look like a Peach - Ok what can my name be - Indiogirl won't do... Becky - I can't do some steaks - ribeye is usually one of them - it's can be stringy... I can eat the filet mignon from costco... Steaks has to be very tender.. I can do hamburger patties - I will get stuck on veggies sometime - gb have the stringiness too so you have to chew very well and take small bite and eat them slowly.. Isn't it funny that we can be full on 3 bites - physically full but - we are still hungry... It's the part that I still struggle with to this very day.. Being physically full on 3 bites but still hungry - I do the same thing when I get stuck/pb - I wait a bit and then try again then make sure I am eating very slow and chew. After a pb - I can usually eat w/no problem.. Kitchen sounds great - I know that when I got my new house 5 yrs ago - granite for my kitchen was like $4.5k - tile was only $2.5K - so I went tile - I would love to have granite. In my old house I redid the kitchen in 91 and it was so much fun.. Enjoy the moment.. Beachlover - Congrats of your 44 lbs in 3.5 months that great... NO SODA GIRL!!! It's a no no with the band.. You aren't suppose to drink it.. If you are not able to eat hard Proteins (meat) you can be too tight.. If you are too tight then you will gravitate to softer mushie foods which tend to be higher in calories too. Band Rules - NO SODA - Protein 1st (60 grms minimum)- then veggies - then starches if any room - tiny bites, chew very well - eat slowly- low fat - sf - Exercise... PST104 - Welcome Ya prior to my own WLS I thought I could do it on my own - I thought it was the easy way out - But what did I know... Not everything obviously :ihih: . My doc's office and the nutritionist gave me various samples of protein powders - I never did the slimfast - I had unjury Choc (which you don't like) and the unflavored one & vanilla - Also a friend gave me some Jay Robb egg white Protein powder - with some lite OJ you think you are drinking an orange Julius.. You can get all this from various Internet site Unjury- or bariatic advantage is another good site - I love the clear protein cold drinks 70 c with 15 grms pt.. I use them alot in the beginning Each doc has their own set of rules - I was lucky I only had 1 week preop diet and my doc provided the food/shakes Soups protien bars. Postop - I had 10 days liquids - 10 days mushies- 10 days soft and finally regular As to the exercise - I was lucky no injuries or problems besides the 100 + extra lbs - I just started slowly and went to the gym 4-5 days a week - and every few weeks increase the time - intensity etc... Apples - Glad you hare having a good time - you mean you can sit and read a book :glare: That's a shock :glare: Yep - No unplaned treats - but gotta forewarn you all I'm going to Vegas next weekend - So every treat will be planed in general terms - When I am away from home my reslove is totally diff - I really want sweets more - I have this thing about not having any food at my disposal - I gotta have something in the room - i don;t care if I eat it or not - it has to be available - I love the pb crackers - but they have taken them off the market - I had one 1/5 when I took GD to airport.. Didn;t get sick - so since I can't get them now - I got reduced fat cheezit crackers... I cleaned out the cabnit under my sink and 3 drawer - and have been screwing around the computer trying to figure out tomtom- I think I like garmin better - I did mapquest - changed the route and could have down loaded to a garmin gps... I think with tomtom you gotta buy more maps to get more details - thats messed up... My tomtom doesn't show N Fashion Dr - and it's been there forever cuz that's where a mall is and they dom't show that either.. Well off to watch tv... CBL :huh2: it's 3 - I am going to go wat Call your doctor - I'm not licensed :glare:))) and no I don't think its your port - it isn't goning to hurt in your back ... Call your doc..

Trump Hotel is behind Fashion Mall - I could see it from my window when I was at the Wynn last June - Have you stayed at Imperial Palace before?? It's an older hotel and since my GF Deb hasn't been before - I wanted to make sure we stayed in a newer hotel - Heck we got 2 nights for 194 total for both of us - that $48.50 each per night.. Ya I got your instructions - I responded - my main question and I think Phyl can answer as she has a GPS - is that do you have to buy more detailed maps than what comes with the system - Fashion Show Rd has been there for ages but it doesn't show up in the map that came w/my TomTom.. When I go to the TomTom site - I see I can buy a map (detailed) of western region - I want more detail so I may buy it - but need to know 1st if it gives me more info than what comes w/the system... Well, I guess I blew that for you didn't I :smile: You hadn't told her - She didn't knew you had surgery... Well if you don't want to tell her we can make up another story - but then alas - once we deceive what a tangle web we weave - so then when I say something about Karri - Kari - Denise - Steph - Linda - Donna or Phyl she will wonder how we both know all the same pple and what did you tell her when you went to MofA last yr.. Just tell before hand and I will cover for you if you don't want her to know... Denise - you hadn't been having reflux at night all the time - did it just start - I get a little heartburn sometimes - but I don't wake up throwing up at all. you know this is our private (well not private really) thread we are the only 2 who talk here :0) Yes I betit would be hard to maintain without much restriction that's my fear - My band does stop me from over eating and I really am mindful of eating good foods - No unplanned treats - well last night wanted something sweet at 1 poptart - not 2 just 1.. So that was good - plus it really wasn't that good - not worth the calories... -
I saw that RC Plane thing on the news last night - wondered if you guys went - I know that my stepbro - use to do rc cars and it's a very big thing and that it's more involved than most of us would think... The scooter issue - Do you think it would fit in my trunk??? if it would then you could go with us - Ck Trump Hotel Vegas for room (that's where Deb & I are staying) ... Or you could stay with us - I am not sure we have 2 beds or not - I need to call them anyway to let them know we are going to be late check in.... I am getting off work at 3 going to try and get on the road by 4...

LBT IS A GREAT PLACE FOR SUPPORT AND EDUCATION.. This thread isn't that active - most pple post to the thread for the month they were banded in - age and some other.. If any of you have any questions - I will try and answer - but first and foremost - ALWAYS follow your doctors instructions and not that of others - each doc had different programs.. Congrats on being banded - and for those who aren't - I can tell you I love my band and Me for the work it takes to get to goal...

Ang got my folder together for taxes - So I feel like I did accomplish something today.. Ok I just ck'd out that link - I have done the hip hop ab thingie - the sound wasn't great -so sent it back- but turns out that it was my dvd that made the sound icky.. Ok - I am going to go see what I can eat for dinner... I will CBL

I wish you were coming too - this was impromptu - I just couldn't pass up seeing Candice when she was going to be so close - since she lives so far away - heck if you hadn't gone at Xmas time - I would have driven over to meet you too.. Linda is coming to Pasadena in March to see DS and she's going to make a trip down this way to get together with Phyl and me.. Well, I did 3.05 miles in 48 minutes - walked inclines of 1 - 6 - speed 3.5 to 4.2 - Came home showered went and got nails done - went to Marshall's - got some comfy shoes for walking in Vegas and a cross body purse - omg - they are great - it's smallish but enough to carry all my stuff and camera - Then went to Target - did my weekly shopping (dog cat food etc) and got another cross body purse very small and a polo type shirt for $2.48 and a couple bras for $12.99 Came home and Suzie Orman was on QVC - she was talking about this portfolio thingies she sells - water proof - all your important docs in one place - Trust - Will junk on a cd - well I got this a yr or so ago - never opened it really - well after watching her sell it and showing how easy it was - I went and got mine and put all my stuff in it - well most of it need to do a current photo copy of my credit cards and new license - got it the other day - the pic is so so - not great but not terrible.. So that's been my day.... Need to figure out what I am going to eat - I have a lamb chop left from last night so may just have that with some rice and veggies - but got some hamburger that needs to be cooked.. Who knows - right now I'm not hungry ... Ok off to ck my other thread and then maybe watch a movie "Righteous kill" Oh ya - I'll take the heat over the snow - I wouldn't know how to drive in that crap.. I am a little colder than I use to be - the real test would be in going where it's humid - I didn't do well at 250 in that kind of weather at alll.. CBL:tongue:

Heck I don't eat dinner till about 8 I won't do the pouch test - I most likely should - but what is is like 2 days liquid - I don't think It would work - but again knock wood I have been maintaining OK - but at this point and what happened to you- I worry that my band could be eroding - etc- problems period - I don't have any signs and don't have any reflux - but again you didn't have any signs.. I feel to damn good to be obese again.. -
Ok GF just cking on you... On the baking - well I enjoy doing it with my GD and it's my treat to me - I just sent most of it home with them an got it out of the house - I allowed myself some - but they were Planned treats.. Thats great about DH looking into surgery - you will be one healthy couple. Well Im back from the gym 3.05 mile in 48 minutes - incline 2 to 5 speeds 3.5 to 4.2 ... Good Morning Gang - Well last nite my computer froze and lost my post:cursing: I gotta a question - who has a portable navigation system - I got one for xmas - but when I try to input like Trump Hotel (this is where we are staying) it's not on the map - so now I have to go buy a new map of the western region to get more detail ???- that SUCKS BIG TIME.. What a rip off imho... I think that is should come loaded with a detail map!!! Phyl - LOVE LOVE the story about DH and the vodka - that was too frickin funny - something I would do - You guys haven't seen me drink - OMW - I get very out going... I don't do vodka cuz that was my Mom's drink - and she drank - so I'm a Gin or Tequila girl - I like a good bourbon too - but I do like lemon drop martini's and I think they are made with vodka - but you won't find a bottle of vodka in my house - just this mental thing about it... Candice - I gotta google the weather for next week - Vegas is usually a little colder than here in my desert - but again what I consider cold and what you consider cold are 2 diff things I am really looking forward to getting away it should be fun.. Karri - I am glad to hear that you are going to cut your availability to your students - you do need to make time for you... That's a great step and a big one for you - WTG on the running !!!! Kari - Hell in Michigan - too funny no hell is here in the desert during the summer :0) Steph - I haven't drank really since we went to the Rock yard last summer - I got way to drunk and I hate the hang overs - I don't do just a little I end up going over board - so why start... Denise - Most liquor taste nasty really and truly especially when you drink it straigh... That's why they mix it so much - it's an acquired taste IMHO But I do have to say that I do like Sauza tequila to sip on straight... See I have acquired a taste for that :0) Car - Designer Jeans - Ya my 1st 12's where designer and paid too much $$ but they were 12's... I like NYDJ but they are pricey (not your daughters jeans) and I like the Levi 512 ($34 on sale) the fit at your waist and I like pants that fit at my waist - I have some low rise (not real low) and they are OK - but I feel more comfortable in the high well really normal waisted pants.. Donna - between here my mentor thread and the 50 thread (which I hardly post to) and face book - I don't have time for any more threads... Well I may once we get to the 12 finalist and I figure out who my fav is.. Hope this year is better than the last couple - my fav year was when Fantasia won !! OK of to get dressed for they gym & brush my teeth - it's 6:40 - agenda today - gym - nails - target shopping gs need mouth wash etc need dog food and then home... So I will cbl gang - have a good Saturday...

Good Morning Gang... I posted last night but my computer froze up and lost post So will try again this morning - it pisses me off I get so frustrated that I say f it and get off the computer all together Long Great deal on the cashmere - I got one too a few weeks back for either 35 or 39 can't remember which - but now we have warmed up in the desert - days are 75-80 - I don't wear a sweater unless it's going to be under 67.. Becky - that movie just didn't appeal to me - I am not in the mood to watch sad movies - I like cop & robber type movies I like fast movies if they are slow I will fall asleep and I get restless sitting for more than an hour and a half.. I hear you on the butter - it has always made me a little sick when I ate the whole bag and I would put tons on - now when I go to the show - I have a small bag with only 1 or 2 squirts of butter - it's my treat !!! I'm not a super big cereal eater myself - I like raisin bran - kasha or is it castaic organic cinnamon shredded wheat and the granola with raisins (I put in my sf yogurt) for bf at work.. --------------------------------------------------------- Where's Charlene??? today is Sat - zumba class - is everything ok Charlene we haven't heard from you in a few days - I just realized that right now.. Apples - I want you to know that your saying NO UNPLANED TREATS - has stuck with me - I love it - when I am in the checkout line at the market or target - I am usually hungry and those candy bars look so good - but you are on my shoulder whispering in my ear "No Unplaned Treats" Thanks!!! My stupid alarm went off at 5 - I though I had turned it off yesterday but guess I didn't - so I am up - but truly had enough sleep I went to bed around 9 - woke up at 12:30 (GS came in) and stayed awake for about 1/2 hr.. So I got my sleep - now drinking coffee waiting for the gym to open at 7 On the agenda today - exercise - nails - taget shopping and that's about it I think... I am going to Vegas next weekend to meet up with one of my Lucky#7 memeber - she's from Canada and when she said that she was going to be in Vegas w/GF for a girls weekend - I thought I would go and see her - it's only a 4 1/2 hr drive So my gf Deb and I are going - my gf Deb has never been to Vegas she's 54 - omw what a sheltered life she lived - her xdh really kept her locked in the house and never took her anywhere.. Cher - Thanks - 21 lbs that must have been a while back :wink: like August or Sept of 07... When I was too tight (1/08)- I could barely drink a cup of coffee in the morning - I had to take itty bitty sips of Water - I could barely eat 1/4 c food - and forget hard proteins.. That was a year ago so what I really remember is not being able to drink without feeling that stuck feeling.. The band is suppose to provide restriction that its function but it's not about eating 1/4 cup of food per meal - it's about being to able to eat normally - For me I like to be able to eat about a cup to a cup and half per meal - My typical daily food during my weight loss phase was Yogurt/Granola for BF Protein/Veggies for lunch (usually leftovers from dinner) Dinner - 4 oz of fish - 1/2 cup veggies and 1/4 - 1/2 c rice Snacks - SF puddings - SF Fudgecicles - Snack Pack Popcorn - Fruit - sf yogurt. EXERCISE !!!!! In the beginning - I would go to the gym 4-5 times a week - I walked on the treadmill for the 1st 8 months then 3/08 at 175 got trainer (felt I had lost enough weight not to be too embarassed to go up and ask for training) then I changed my rountine to 2 x weeks weight and 2 x week treadmill. Secert - Eating healthy not dieting & exercise -follow the rules - Protein 1st 60 grms (per my doc) - eat slowly small bite chew - low fat - limited sugar & starches Learning tools - Track calories weigh &/or measure foods - limit refined carbs - I still eat starches but in a limited quanity.. I use to be a big starch/fat eater - I eat low fat - limited sugar. I allow treats - but not everyday - I eat sweets occaissionaly - I plan - I don't keep junk in the house that I can't resist and even throw away sf stuff if I am eating them too often - bought some sf Cookies - they were great - and I kept going back and eating more than the 1 serving (4 cookies 130 cal) so I threw them away - Since you just got filled yesterday - I would give it a little bit and see how it settles in - After a fill I had to go back to my surgery diet - 1 weeks liquids - 1 week mushie - 1 week soft then to regular - I only followed this after the 1st fill - but did do a couple days liquids - then moved to mushie/softs..
