I'm Back............ Tired but back..... Can't believe how much traveling really takes out of you... I guess the hustle & bustle of getting to and from an airport in a strange town - rushing from one terminal to another - Plane landed in Phoenix at 5:10 - My next plane for Palm Springs left at 5:45 and I had to rush from terminal A to B - food choices - OMG I have gained 3 lbs... I ate too many sweets - My aunt had Oreo Cookies - I had a couple of candy bars and at the airport trail mix.. It was wonderful to met PJ & her Mom. She is great and so was here Mom - I will post pic later - I am still waking up and on my 1st cup of coffee.. and ladies I want you all to give examples of what you eat - I know there is a food thread - but she needs help in our age group (well not everyone one here is older but most of us are) I know Becky posts what she eats but we all need to help - she needs some Ideas on how to eat healthy - she has restriction but needs healthy food ideas... So Please join me in helping her get ideas of good tasting healthy foods... And starting this very day - I will be back to my healthy and going to the gym twice today - morning for treadmill and then this afternoon for my weight training.... And most of all no more sweets.... Also at a retirement home you would think the would have healthier food choices - spagh & meat ball - fish but cooked in some sauce - fried okra - and tons of Desserts - Mash tatos - chicken Fired steak and some dried out hamburger patties.. Ok and now I am scared of getting old - my Aunt is 93 and I think she's just plan a$$ tired of living - she has some 2 great girls to help her - but her body is giving out on her and I think this maybe the last time I see her - She is positive for the most part - I got her up and walking around on Friday - but Sat her tummy was hurting her but did get her down for lunch and the computer room so I could print my boarding pass for Sunday.. But she pretty much just wants to sit in her chair - and she is having major teeth problems... She is talking about implants - but at her age I don't know if the dentist would do them.. I did feel quite young being around all those older pple - and some are getting around quite well... So Ladies losing the weight now is really going to help us as the years progress.. Rose - Yes eating fast & not chewing is the biggest problem for most of us... And it takes time - but I know that if I eat slow I can eat - if I eat 3 bites to fast then I will pb.. or get stuck and I want to be able to eat - so for the most part I have learned to slow down Glad you are exercising - and your calories are good - don't sweat it - that you aren't getting 1200 - the calories you are getting are a good amount.. Long - I get you on the sweets - I had too many too - and yes it's back to eating healthy - I will go food shopping after the gym this morning and nothing unhealthy will get in my basket... Bonnie - We are here for you girl .... I am a firm believer in tracking food it really really works - I kept a food diary for the 1st year... You are back on track cuz you did go to the doctor - you just have to get your head back in the game cuz this is a lifetime lifestyle change - your Dh's hip is better now I hope and you can now concentrate on you - and what you are eating. Slow down chew :thumbup: bping is bad - PJ - you can do this I have faith in you - as we talked you started thinking of all the things you could change.. I really believe that you can do this and am Proud of you for making the commitment to exercise in the mornings - I so enjoyed meeting you and your Mom - She is going to be your Janet OK - so listen to her:tongue: Apples sorry vacation is over - but I agree in not being connected 24/7 to t.v. phone Internet etc is a good vacation you gotta give your brain a rest sometime... I wish flying made my band tight - I think it loosens mine up.:biggrin: I wish that I lost weight when I am on vacation but as I said before I tend to eat too many sweets - well on the cruise next month I am taking workout clothes and tennis and going to the gym in the mornings - that one gosh blessed thing I am doing.. So on that vacation I won't gain 3 lbs... Will be glad to have you back too... Becky - Congrats on your 3 lbs !!! That's great!!!! Proud of you sticking with your doc's post fill instructions... WTG:wink: Remember we want pic's of your new kitchen and you in it... Sharon - Congrats on your 5 lbs - some weeks you may lose 5 lbs then the next with only 1/2 - so just stick with your plan and you will do good.. Also know that you aren't the only one who hates exercise - but after you make the commitment to do it and see the benefits of doing it and as the weight comes of it does get easier - I don't want to go this morning - I am beat as I said before but I KNOW that I have to - I know that exercise helps keeps the weight off - especially after over indulging... Ok gotta go wash the face and put on my tennis shoes and hit the gym - I will CBL !!!:cursing:

I am just cking back before I turn off the computer - I need to get to bed - got most stuff packed - just gotta load makeup in the morning - I hate these new rules - 2 oz - my hair stuff is 5 oz.. Well I guess I won't have big hair - aw shucks - I should cuz Ill be in Texas and I love big hair :ohmy: Rose - drink your oj - make some chicken Soup - and Joann I bet you are sick of the cold - heck I know by the end of the summer I am sick of the heat - but right now I wouldn't mind a little warmer weather myself.. Oh - I'm outta here - Good food choices and remember I am on everyones' shoulder and you will hear me whispering - eat healthy eat healthy - No unplanned treats and get a little exercise - You can do this you really can... Hey Gang.... Candice - Oh come on now - We are still your friends even if you are in the poor me mood.. We all get them I pissed off one of my co-workers yesterday - she kept her door to her office closed most of the day and isn't talking to me or the other girl in our section.. We had to have a little meeting yesterday cuz the other girl wasn't doing things correctly and the one who's pissed went and tattled to our boss - instead of going to the one and talking to her - that's what I did when I found major error. Plus our boss is always throwing stuff at her to do - so I can understand some of the mistakes - but it someone is making errors you go to them and discuss it like grownups and not little kids going and tattling.. and I think she's pissed cuz my boss had me sorta lead the meeting - but I have worked with him for 30 yrs and I know what he wants before he does - So I got a little work woes too.. 2000 calories - well at least it wasn't 3000 - why did you make those cookies - well just like me and buying that damn cheese - and I agree with Phyl for those of you who have the long cold winters it has to be hard - I am ready for spring/summer and it doesn't really get cold here at all compared to you guy...- I'm ready for some 80 degree days - I don't like how cold I get - my feet are cold right now - and I have been turning on the heater in the mornings... Phyl - did you like sweets before the band - were they a problem - I can't say anyone thing was a problem to me just food in general.. and still can be - like I said I really haven't been eating sweets - just too many nuts - cheese etc.. grazing really.. Today - bf weight control oatmeal - snack banana - lunch 1 chicken thight & 1 cup broc & rice - right now had about 5 chips - cooking GS chicken tacos - but not enough meat for me so I am thawing some scallops & shrimp - what I am going to do with them who knows.. I don't know how my food is going to be this weekend with my Aunt - she is having teeth issues and just talked to her and she was having a hot dog - green beans and some cheese and crackers - I am going to frickin STARVE.. She isn't feeling that well - we normally go to the dinning room for one meal which is usually lunch - what am I going to do for dinner - hot dogs omg I don't really like hot dogs... and unhealthy to boot - I am going to meet another bander - p.j. taxlady (50 thread) for breakfast on Sat Morning at a place called old south pancake house - I hope the have some good biscuts & gravy - cuz I am not really a pancake person - I am packing some popcorn & garnola bars 150 c each - I think my room has a microwave - and since I don't know the area to go to the store plus my aunt is going to want me w/her from like noon on.. Well it will all work out the problem is I am not going to have too much control over what I eat - and I don't like fast food - so am going to have to becareful not to eat too many sweets like I usually do when traveling... Steph & Candice hugs hugs hugs Well off to finishing packing - and remember I won't be online this weekend - I could take my laptop but don't want to carry it and won't really have alot of alone time.. Hey there gang... Kathy how in the heck could you be too tight - when did you get a fill - heck I thought you could eat 10 oz steak.. I most have missed a post or something. or maybe you are gas lighting me:lol::thumbup: But glad that taking some out has helped - I didn't think you had restriction at all.. IMHO I think that this whole thing about the band making you not hunger is BS - I still get hungry - It does keep me full longer - but I still get hungry - right now I could eat a horse.. Long - Great going on the exercise - just keep doing what you are doing and it will come off.. Sharon - Yes you gotta make time for you.. and concintrate on getting your Protein in - that's important - but I get you about the busying and not eating -but I gotta say - I don't love my job that much to skip lunch - the clock hits noon and I am headed to the lunch room... And right now I am starving... Ok - I gotta go finish packing - remember I won't be around til Monday - I'm going to Fort Worth to visit my 93 yr old Aunt and I am going to meet PJTax Lady for Breakfast on Saturday.. My flight leaves Palms Springs at 6:35 a.m. so I gotta be out of here no later than 5 a.m. - I don't know what to pack - heck who know's what I am going to feel like wearing Well Off i go to ck out clothes - CBL

Donna - I haven't moved :0) - went to the gym last night then to to store came home started dinner - then was on the phone til 8:15 - so by then it was to late to get on the computer as my Idol was on... And this morning I had stuff to do since I won't be here tomorrow... We haven't abandoned you :biggrin: Steph You know that even with restriction it doesn't stop you from slider foods that we tend to all eat when we have that hand to mouth need.. Not many of us pig out on steak & veggies - it's the sweets, chips/dips cookie etc.. I totally get that you need restriction - but GF even with restriction is it going to stop you or help with the kinds of foods you are eating right now... What we really are dealing with is that you & dh aren't getting along - you most likely have the winter blahs (very understandable) I myself have been testing my weight - I bought some great garlic cheese spred - it was 5 servings well ate it in 3 days and my mind as blocked the calories (and I did look when I bought it) the scale was up 2 lbs yesterday - I have had sandwiches (lite bread) for lunch all week and for one breakfast and I have been eating way too many nuts & juice. My band has been very fickled as of late - yesterday was full on 1/2 sandwich & 1/2 cup of carrots whereas the day before ate the same sandwich (the whole thing) and was still hungry.. And I gotta say I have been aniouxe all week and want to nibble - and again the stuff that I choose to eat are band freindly they just slip on thru. So last night - went to the store got some chicken and broc and that's what I am having for lunch - and I am going to cut out the nuts too - and you won't find me buying that great cheese spread either. Get out to the house - get some sun shine if you can heck you got any tanning beds in your little town - now that would be a good investment for your town and you could make some $$$ - up your vit D - and just make up with DH - I don't know what you are tiffing about - but in the whole realm of life is it really that bad - if either one of you kicked the bucket tomorrow would the fight have mattered... (cheating/addiction/hitting/gambling away all the $$ major thingies and I don't think it's those things) Go out and get some exercise - get those endorphines going... Have one last pity party for your self - and then say this is it... I know I don't have restriction and I am blue and this all just seems like too much work - I am tired - I don't care anymore I just want to feel good - Eat whatever and then say ok bye bye blues - that food didn't help - and the only way I am going to get out of this funk is that I make up my mind - I will reward myself with what I really need and that's love... I will love me enought to take care of me and that means eating healthy and getting outside for a walk and some freezing fresh air :0) Well, I tired - I hope it helps - or just go tell me to shut up and quit trying to fix the problems - but you know me I just gotta try. Hugs !!!!

Becky - I have only been to the Caribbean & Mexico cruises - I have done 2 Norwegian - 4 Royal Caribbean & 2 Carnival - I like Royalthe most but my last cruise was on carnival 2/07 and I liked it - it wasn't a party ship and their prices are a little lower. I am going on my 5 Royal next month - and not to worried about the food issues - cuz they do have their spa food (healthy) and I gotta say this will be the 1st time that I will be taking tennies and using the exercise equipment - so for me the added exercise will mean a few more treats :0).. Give me Sun & Ocean & Beach and I am a happy camper - on the March Cruise I am going to zipline thur the canopy in Puerto viarta (sp) & swim with the dolphins in Cabo :0) Congrats on the scale moving again and yes getting to your sweet spot will be wonderful... Long - you go girl - in showing off for DH - can't wait to hear about that :0) Hi Holly Welcome !!! Congrats on your weight loss !!! So you are still on full liquids right?? Your calories are fine really - I kept mine between 800-1200 and would vary them each day... And it could be the sugar that's helping or just more fuilds (electorlites) - you may want to dulite them with a little water or buy the lite versions - cuz I know that I can get carried away with juices & nuts and those calories add up very fast. but as long as you are tracking and don't get carried away - you should be just fine.. When do you move to mushie/soft?? When you get the to Steak - just make sure it's a good cut of meat - tiny bites and chew ... and I am super happy about your exercise - I really beleive that it goes hand in hand with the eating healthy and lifestyle change... Look forward to chatting will you on a regular basis !!!

Rose - You are doing very well - keep it up and once you are feeling better you will get that exercise in... WTG GF - YEP ALL THOSE THINGS WILL GET THAT TICKER MOVING - I AM SO HAPPY FOR YOU!!!! My trainer says that eating carbs makes you retain water - so cut carb intake for the next couple of days and see if that helps get that last pound off. Walking is good - that's all I did for the 1st 8 months - I just did it 4-5 times a week.

Becky You posted to my profile - it wasn't a private message - but that's ok.. I think you can click my pic or Indiogirll55 and it will ask if you want to send a private message - I would go for the $$$ too - it shouldn't affect your eating too much - just prepare and take food with you You doc's rules are tougher than mine - mine wants a week of full liquids - week mushie - week soft - then finally regular... I sort did it the 1st fill - but not the 2nd - I modified it and did full liquids for like1 or 2 days then soft/mushie for a few days. My 1st fill felt right away - but after 2 weeks it relaxed - and I think the 2nd fill took a few days to settle in.. IMHO I think they do that(post op diet) so it will jump start your weight loss.. but it can back fire too - I think the 1st day liquid is good then move to mushie then soft... But that's just my personal opinion and I sure in the heck don't have a license - so do what you think best and works for you... Sharon it's 1/2 per meal... Yes with that it's going to be hard to get your protein in unless you eat every few hours 4 oz is 1/2 cup and rule of thumb for every ounce of meat there is 7 grms of protein (I had homework on my pre-op and that stuck with me :smile:) so that means if you have 4 oz of tuna for Breakfast that 28 grms then for lunch you have another 4 oz of tuna that's a total 56 grms then dinner 2 oz of meat for 14 grms pt then your total would be 60 and that's what my doc recommended and that would leave you with 2 oz for veggies.. For me I alway ate at least 3/4 to 1 cup of food per meal - you have to find out what works for you - this is a lifestyle change - I know that apples would only eat 1/2 cup per meal and be satisfied - for me - mentally that's not enough food so I can usually eat about 1 cup per meal and if you add any sliders (foods that slide thru like zuchinne well cooked so it's super mushie) you will eat more - that's why you are to eat your protein 1st then veggies and if any room the starch.. Yes in the beginning it's hard to beleive that this is going to work - but if you really do make it about a lifestyle change - eating healthier foods in smaller quanities and exercise - it does work... it takes a while - but you will get the hang of it - Does your doctor have support group meetings?? It may help to you to meet in person with other banders to get the idea of what you should be doing... Sometimes it's hard to just read what others do - it's good to talk in person... It took me 11 months to lose 100 lbs - so just take it one month at a time - and I am not the norm either - I worked super hard to get that 100 lbs gone (I atae rather ridge - didn't go out much during that time -well went out a few times and had a few drinks but didn't do any traveling so I had total control of my eating)- and you know what - I didn't do anything more to lose the 12 other pounds that I have lost since reaching goal - except I just kept eating healthy and exercise and my body found it's happy weight. You will figure it out gf - it is a process - just keep doing what you are doing and it will work.. Well gang Idol is on tonite - so I am going to go cook (fish spinach and maybe some rice) Oh at lunch today - we have a few who brown bag it most days and one guy's wife made a homemade chicken pot pie - it was to die for - I had brought a sandwich - ate half of it then he brought out the pot pie - had 1/2 cup - omg was it good - so I may be skipping the rice tonite Trade off - that's the key Sharon - If you eat a little more for lunch then you eat a little less for dinner - and if you eat a little more for dinner then the next day you eat a little less or increase the exercise... We are starting a weekly pot luck for us who brown bag it - we have 3 teams (3 pple on each team) and each friday one team is going to provide lunch - BB Team #1 is scheduled to bring chilli on 2/20 - then my Team is scheduled to provide lunch on 2/27 and team 3 on 3/6 Should be fun - the one guy who lunches w/us has a wife who is a great cook ... We are alway drooling over each others food at lunch so I came up with this idea - we will see how it works.. Should be fun ... Well off to cook - I will talk to you all tomorrow... Donna The only suggestion that I have is make sure you eat hard proteins then veggies (they are almost free foods) then your starches - Do you think after a while you can go back and have .2 added - this may help with your hunger & restriction - heck .01 helped me.. __________________________________________________ Good Morning Gang - It's 37 degrees !!! Clear and Sunny... Just cking in as usual in the morning - nothing to report new.. Dinner was soup & 2 oz of steak - berrys & lite whip cream for dessert and a s/f fudgecicle... Phyl I don't get mobwars either too much - just noticed if you down load stuff -(adware) you can get points - well I think you and donna are in my mob - I own 2 guns - a crow bar - and empty lot and still have 2000 cash - but need some engery?? It's freezing here too and the patio is still wet there's now way I would go to the pool !!!! In fact I just turned on my fire place... I am pooped - I am going to find something to eat - didn't take anything out this morning and don't feel like going to the store - I think I will have the chicken soup from friday - just put the soup to warm had a bite of steak from Saturday... Nothing really sounds good - oh ya corn bread and butter - but I am not making it - so I will have to settle for my soup & steak... Last Chance Harvey looked funny - I love going to Costco for the samples. Denise - I found out bookmark parking wars & mob wars and they will show up on your profile or at the bottom some where - I have all these request - but they take too long and all they are doing is giving another site info on you... So most I just ignore.. Ok as Indiogirl is out - going to go read my new John Grisham and watch some tv...

Sharon - Your meal wasn't that bad 2 oz fish 1 oz veggie and dependng the size of the baked potatoe - you had maybe just a little over 4 oz - 4 oz is 1/2 cup and if you mushied it up - it's not bad - heck prior to my 1st fill I was eating 4 oz fish and like 1 cup veggies - Eat real food - not liquids - this isn't a diet but a new way of life - just keep plugging along - don't give up - don't get discouraged - you lost weight - That's fantastic. As long as I get my Water & fats in - I don't have a constipaton problem - but if I do I take ducolax - it's a tiny orange pill - If I am super constipated then I take 2 at bed and in the morning - the problem is gone. 1.8 lbs in a week is good - it's a loss were as before it would not have been - I know you think it should be falling off - but it doesn't work that way - all those 1.8 will add it and once you start getting your fills it will help.. Kathy - Hugs GF what a thing to have - Prayer that it all works out.. Becky I have 3 tops from Chico's that are 3/4 length sleeve - but the are hard to find... You kitchen is coming along really fast... That's great - What did you decide about the job?? I am pooped tonite went and walked a mile on the treadmill 3.0 speed - 3 to 5 incline then 1 hr weights (legs) with the trainer - didn't take anything out for dinner - am hungry - got a pain behind my port - could be from laying on this machine doing leg curls.. I guess I am having left over Soup for dinner..

Just tell Jeff to jump in a lake - read your book instead of eating - eating is giving into Jeff - so don't do it - just think that if you eat he wins and we sure and the hell don't want that Yep you know me - tickets didn't go on sale til 10 a.m so 10:15 a.m. I had 3 - baloncy section $50 each - I would have popped for the $75 ones but my gf deb most likely couldn't afford - and my other gf Candy - the one I went to Laughlin last May could and would have - but we did get center seats and looks like front row too.. What movie are going you guys going to see.. It's raining right now in Palm Desert... I had a sandwich for lunch lite bread ham cheese 205 calories and it's 1 and I am still hungry have a little pain behind port - why am I still hungry??? GF Trace isn't calling you cuz he's right here with me - you are married - I'm not (well we won't mention that he's married too :thumbup:) I think you are home cuz of your Ball on Saturday nite - you forget you post on FB and some of us are there too :tt2: Mob Wars - I played it once - but can't find it again ... ok back to work..

Sharon PB = Productive burp - a burp with food in it (sorta like throw up but w/o the stomach acid)- when we become stuck (golf ball or air pocket in your chest) your body produces more saliva to try and get the lubircation (Slime) to move the food thru your tummy... Sometimes the food does go down - other times it won't and you will spit up slime and then bp and the food will come back up. After a bping episode alot of pple then stick to liquids for a while as they have irratied they tummies. Remember Hope is not in your vocabulary - Yes I am still amazed that pple think I am a skinny chick - and in my head I know I am - but it's just still unbelievable - I think I am dreaming and am going to wake up fat again.. Welcome Laurie - I was 52 (7/17/07( when banded 250 starting weight for a little shortie of 5'3.5 (say I'm 5'4 :0) - I got to goal 160 on 5/8/08 - Lost 100 lbs by 1 yr and now am down a total of 112 - I feel 10 yrs younger and the qualitly of my life has improved 10 fold. Props for your 15 yrs sober - that's great - now what you do once your are banded is apply those tools that you used to remain sober to your addiction to food... IMHO it's a little harder dealing w/our food addiction as we have to eat to live so we are tempted at every meal to over do - but the band is the tool that does help - but just like any addiction there is tons of mental work to do to over come the diesase .. Rose - Didn't your doc give you chewable vititmans or tell you what kind to take - I don't understand - I guess I have a super great doc - I had a binder with all my instructions and things I needed - foods to eat etc.. After surgery I was to have chewable Flinstones w/iron - or They make a chewable vitiman for lapband pple - go to Bariatic Advantage website - they have a multi Vitamin called VitaBand - I have the Watermelon and it's good - they also Have Calcium Cirate Cinnamon Chewables - Love them... And No I haven't been sick since being banded I think I had a tad of a cold last yr - but not sick... Becky 1800 a week take it !!!! - and you can still eat healthy while doing it - !!!!! I would take the $$$ - I really would.. It's raining and cold here is SUNNY California Desert!!!!! I did dinner & home movie w/GS last night Some of you may remember that the day before my Bro died GS asked if I want to go to the movies with him and see Bee's Life - I said sure and we had planned to go the next Friday - Well - as most of you know we never made it - but the movie is out on video and I got it Saturday - So last night after I got back from shopping (Ralph Lauren blouse & INC Capri's) I made tacos rice and bean and we had dinner and watched the movie together - sorta slow and predictable but what movie isn't once you reach a certain age :thumbup:- I nodded out for maybe 10-15 minutes (eating does that to me) and it was a rare night cuz I fixed food for me that wasn't my normal fare - I ate the whole taco - rice & bean - but gotta say in the past it would have been 4-5 tacos instead of just one (and yes it was fried) but feel weird when I eat like this - it's sorta scary. I also bought some blackberries - strawberries and these little individual angel food cake thingies (130 C) and light whip cream - for Dessert I cut one on the angel food cups in half - added the berry mixture and some whip cream - it was delicious - so I was at least lite in my dessert.. Now that I am a Marshalls convert - OMW the prices at Macy's are ridiculous - But I had a $25 gift card - $25 Rewards care & 20% discount - so my expensive outfit cost me $65 - but the Capri's were to die for I mean so comfortable - light weight denim - felt like jammies - top cute and summery white with flowers orange - yellow - lime green & blues w/ 3/4 length sleeves which is so hard to find - I think I am going to go into designing clothes for women - with sleeves!!! Ok just cking in now gotta get to my desk - will cbl:wink:

Good Morning All... It's raining and cold here is SUNNY California Desert!!!!! It looks black where Phyl is so I bet she is getting more rain than the eastern part of the valley where I live :0) I did dinner & home movie w/Andrew last night - the day before my Bro died Andrew asked if I want to go to the movies with him and see Bee's Life - I said sure and we had planned to go the next Friday - Well - as you all know we never made it - but the movie is out on video and I got it Saturday - So last night after I got back from shopping (Ralph Lauren blouse & INC Capri's) I made tacos rice and bean and we had dinner and watched the movie together - sorta slow and predictable but what movie isn't once you reach a certain age - I nodded out for maybe 10-15 minutes (eating does that to me) and it was a rare night cuz I fixed food for me that wasn't my normal fare - I ate the whole taco - rice & bean - but gotta say in the past it would have been 4-5 tacos instead of just one (and yes it was fried) but feel weird when I eat like this - it's sorta scary. I also bought some blackberries - strawberries and these little individual angel food cake thingies (130 C) and light whip cream - for Dessert I cut one on the angel food cups in half - added the berry mixture and some whip cream - it was delicious - so I was at least lite in my dessert.. Now that I am a Marshalls convert - OMW the prices at Macy's are ridiculous - But I had a $25 gift card - $25 Rewards care & 20% discount - so my expensive outfit cost me $65 - but the Capri's were to die for I mean so comfortable - light weight denim - felt like jammies - top cute and summery white with flowers orange - yellow - lime green & blues w/ 3/4 length sleeves which is so hard to find - I think I am going to go into designing clothes for women - with sleeves!!! Well, just cking in - Peaches - yea on walking today you track and I hope your office manager or boss realizes what the hell is going on to make pple quit in today's economy... Gotta go buy my Trace Atkins tickets - he's will be here 4/3 and tickets went on sale today...

Generations name of my development right behind Fresh & Easy - I think I was at Target around 2 - Had to take Andrew to p/u his car out in palm desert - then went to the Marshall's in LQ to see if I could find those capris - then to Target - never made it to winco gotta do that today - I think - I will be gone Fri/Sat home Sunday night going to TX to see Aunt... Plane leaves PS 6:35 a.m. !!! I get to Dallas/Fort Worth aroun 1 something... What was the name of the street - there is a short sale on a floor plan just like mine for $177,900 - I don't think it has upgrades - and when I bought my house the starting price was $249,900 - I am looking into getting my prop taxes redone - also there is a model home going for super cheap... Yep - it's a 50 yr old thing - really it's a too many things on our minds... I did shopping yesterday and forgot stuff - I need to start making list - but I forget them at home:lol: but just the fact of writing it down does help me remember sometimes when at the store :thumbup: Becky - Learn to say NO - you have a lot on your plate right now - and there is nothing wrong with saying No - I know it's hard but you have to think about you.. If you took the job you could still eat right - but ya the exercise might be hard and your whole kitchen thing and election - Can it wait till those things are over.. The 1st bite - it's usually the chewing and taking too big of a bite for me - it's usually the 3rd bite that gets me - I got stuck on pudding the other night.. Slow down and just concentrate on chewing super well - just think - if I chew I can eat my whole meal... I can eat grilled cheese and sandwich breads and sour dough type breads - I just don't do it often cuz GS isn't really a sandwich eater and the bread goes to waste.. But every now and then I do buy a loaf of lite bread. Yes our bands are fickled - some days I think I need a tweek then again I know I don't.. Its about chewing and eating slowly and small bite - really focus on those things and then go from there at to measure if you need a fill or not You kitchen sound beautifuly - your colors are like mine - I would say we have similar taste :0). I do all the work and the Producer gets all the glory :thumbup: Hair cut was great - wear a angled bob - and keep going shorter - I want short hair - but as a fat chich I would never go short - cuz I hated that whole little head big body look - so we are going shorter a little at a time.. Yesterday at Target - a lady giving samples of some granola type bar - 1st thing I asked how many calories - she said only 150 - I said Oh thats alot - she said you don't have to worry about that - and I said ya I do - if I want to stay this way... But that someone thought I was just a thin person was like unbeleivable - I might have a thin body and know it - but don't always feel it.. Well today's agenda - Take back a blouse I got for my bday and search another Marshalls for these cute capri's but they only had a 2 & 8 at my store - the 2's were about an inch to small in the waist - but they were so cute... I gotta find a 4.. Oh ya - and I did get to the gym before my hair appt - I was trying to make excuses that I didn't have enought time - cuz I hate to rush - but you know what I may not have gotten my whole 3 miles in - but did get 2.5 and still burned 275 calories by upping the incline and working out harder instead of longer.. Another great NSV - Another way my thinking has changed - I know that I have to exercise if I want to eat and keep what I have worked so hard for...

Rose - I hope that fill gets you to your sweet spot - it's wonderful to get there - but I agree w/doc it's better to be a little slow cuz you sure don't want to be too tight - that's the worse thing in the world.. Sounds like a fun weekend - I go for nails & hair this weekend next weekend - I won't be on line - Leaving Friday for Texas to see my 93 yr old Aunt and meet with PJTax lady from the boards here - Will be back Sunday night and we have Monday off - Charlene I hear you girl - I still struggle with head hunger - most of the time I win but it's a real battle - have you been able to get any exercise in. You say you have restriction but how much - another reason I don't think it's good to be too tight is cuz then you can't eat real food and will really tend to eat around the band with the softer/slider foods.. Last night I had steak to cook but really didn't want that - wanted comfort food which is what I have always wanted on a Friday night after a long week - well I found some italitan Soup mix in the pantry which I had before added some chicken that I had from the other day - and had a cup it was really good - then though I went and had a cup of real ice cream - not the best choice but I really was ok as far as my calories for the day - but I hate it when I do that - I feel like I am testing the Water to eat diff and then you know what can happen.. I need to get dressed hair appointment at 9 - but need to get to they gym 1st and if I don't go in the next few minutes I am not going to have enough time for my 3 miles come home shower etc.. Steph - Hugs on the tooth are you taking the antibiotic - what's oxcy like - I hear it's good :cursing: Denise back in the day went I got tested for gall bladder they had you take a pill that was suppose to do the say as the dye test you are doing - but the upper gi didn't show anything they found mine with the ultra sound - I had one large stone stuck in the duct... Back when they took mine out 24 yrs ago they still cut you open - I was 29 well almost 30 had it a week before I turned 30 - and I was off 3 weeks but I was cut open. My DIL had hers out a few years ago laposcrophic (sp) and omw she was such a baby I think she was off like 6 weeks and it's the same surgry as our bands were... Take a pic tonite when you get all dressed up - we want to see ok... ----------------------------------------------------- Good Morning Gang... Well it rained alot last night - I heard it and I slept in sorta late for me 6:30 - GS woke me up at 2 knocking on the door sorta scared me cuz we have had a few home invasions in other parts of the valley last week - I am yellling who is it (oh I forget I have a gun - guess that's a good thing ) He's say it's me lala - so I open the door - he didn't seem like he had been drinking but I take it he had cuz he had a friend bring him home - I don't condone the drinking - but it really doesnt' matter if I condone it our not cuz as we all know teenager will do as they please no matter what we think - but am very proud of him for not driving - that is one thing I have pounded and pounded in his head about - and I guess some things so stick.. I have a hair appointment at 9 this a.m. for cut - I am back to coloring my own hair - but sure in the heck not going to try and cut it... It's 7:08 I should be at the gym - but I haven't finished my coffee and if I don't get there in the next few - I am not goiing to have time to get my walking in and come home shower and go tothe bueaty shop.. Might just have to go tomorrow..

Joann Glad your fill went well - 80 miles ya - that's tough I would want to me sure too... My GS who lives w/me will be 18 next month too - and yes it was just the other day that he came home from the hospital - I have 14 yr GD too she started HS this yr 12/1 baby so she just made the cut off - and then I have a 4 yr old - omw her bday is 3/2 she will be 5 - I won't be having any more GK as my DIL say she's done - she 31 and my DS will be 38 in July and hope it's a few more yrs til I have some GGK's :confused: PJ What's the weather suppose to be like in Texas next week??

Lynn - I haven't seen monk fish here and I like flounder - I think that's it - expensive white fish called something else?? on some endangered list or close to it?? OD - they sell catfish here at Stater Bro - Winco - Costco it's farm raised Crab omw what a lucky girl - but I still want the butter - I still love fat... I just dont go there often Halibut - I use to buy it - but its dry - maybe I over cooked it and now it's expensive - fish use to be cheap..
