    Good Morning Gang !!! It may be Thursday - but since I have tomorrow off - It's Friday for me and I feel really good - I love Fridays !!! How is everyone today?? Who has plans this weekend ?? As you all know I will be out of town visiting DS & Family and here's a thought I want all of us to keep in mind this weekend What's Easter about ??? It's not about the Easter Bunny and all those choc bunnies - peeps - jelly beans - the real meaning is Jesus dying on the cross for us - so - when you are tempted to eat that 2nds hand full of jelly beans - or those few robin eggs - think !!!! Stick with the hard boiled eggs !!! remember protein 1st !!! It's ok to have one or 2 little candies this weekend - I know that I will - but not to chow down on the candy that will be in our faces - think of that candy as the devil (and it really is) - It may make it easier to say no - if you look at it and see the serpent - or that little red man with horns sticking out.. Ok I gotta get some work done - just my usual morning check in ... CBL:tongue:

    OK I AM PISSED - MY POST FROM LAST NIGHT ISN'T HERE !!! Recap: CANDICE - I had cookies looking at me all day yesterday - i gave them away last night and never ate them even though I was very hungry all day long even after my meals - so YOU CAN NOT WAIT TILL AFTER EASTER TO GET BACK ON TRACK Easter is about Jesus dying on the cross to for us It's not about the Easter Bunny and Robin Eggs - Peeps - Choc bunnie :0)...:thumbup::sad::tt2: So you are put on notice this very second that the food cop is on your shoulder and she's going to be yelling at you everytime you try and put something unhealthy in your mouth that you should not be eating.. Phyl - I agree with you on the final 5 all guys - maybe Allison not sure - it's really about who has fan base - Adam is going to win I'm pretty sure - him and Danny final 2 - and I think all will make albums or cd whatever they are called now a days :0) Glad it was Scott who went home last night - I think that they would have used the save on Anoop.. Karla - try for lower soduim stuff - it's most likely water weight but if you are drinking jucies (empty calories) it could be all that sugar - Sugar is no longer our friend - It's going to tell you it is but it's not - and I orginally didn't like diet soda - I use to drink regular soda - but I bought the diet stuff and it does take a minute but you can aqurie a taste for it - I don't mean that you should be drinking soda - this was just an example from my old WW days - I too said I can't stand the stuff - but you gotta try just so that you can save tons of calories. I am really into the pomergranet lemonade from crystal light - you can dilute in by using the packet in a 20 oz bottle of water so that it's not so strong tasting.. I give myself a calorie budget - and even though I am banded I still am a volume eater - I want the most amount of food for the least amount of calories - I rather have a Fish Veggies & Rice instead of a sliver of cake (well 99% of the time:wink:) Steph - Glad to hear that you are feeling like the weight is dropping, Phyl - Yea - fingers crossed that Top Scale says the same as your Wii - Let us know - it's about time for you to have a loss since it's been a few weeks since your last one .. Denise - Ya I would tell your mom's roomate that if your mom's sugar gets out of control and if she goes into a coma - you are going to hold them legally responsible - and that in no way shape or form do you want them giving her crap and I would tell the nursing staff - this is like the Brookhurst facitliy in NJ (you know that show where the super morbity obese go to loose weight) they allow the pple to order take out - here these pple who weight 600 lbs are in a hospital to loose the weight and help save their lives and they let me order pizza - Just don't get it.. Ok well gotta get to work - will cbl hugs and remember Candice - I am on your shoulder for the rest of the weekend !!!

    Anne You are right !!! those things are what is needed IMHO to make it thru this journey - and one other thing - don't look at this as diet - this is just a lifetime lifestyle change in your eating and exercise - I didn't diet - I ate healthy and I moved my body - cuz when you diet then you go back to eating "normal" you gain the weight back and wonder why - well I finally realize that my norm is what got me fat in the 1st place that and not moving..

    Rose - Congrat on losing 2 lbs - you lost you didn't gain - it will come with time - you had alot going on for a while there. You doc sounds like mine - I love my doc too Long you will be fine - just keep eathing healthy - how much could you eat per meal before this unfill - Congrats on being asked to speak - that's a great honor.. Girl - I knew it I knew it (that you had all your cooking done this morning) - I wish I had half of your energy and organizational skills - you have mad skills girl for all that you do - you find time for everything and everyone... I am so envious !!!! I am such a procratinator... Claudine - I was suppose to go on post op diet after a fill week full liquids week mushie - week soft and then finally week 4 reall food - we being the non-conformist that I am - that didn't work - I did Soup for 2 days then soft mushies for 3 days then reg food.. I make homemade Soups - make a pot of Beans (pinto or navy) whatever you like - after the beans have cooked scoop them out and put them in the blender with a little of the broth - blend them real well - add that mixture back to your bean juice - whalla - cream of bean soup and it's delicious Have a great time with you Sister - I will be seeing mine to this weekend.. Phyl you got that right - Apples is one hot mama - she looks fantastic !!! Ok gang - it's 8:45 and I haven't eaten yet - had gym tonite 1 hour legs - sissy squats duck squat - some other fall of your face squat - lungs - ball work out - I am tired - and am going to be sore come friday..     Ya I think it's going to be all guys in the final 5 - I like the same ones as you - but agree Adam is going to win !!! Maybe tonite they will replay Adam's performance since there is such an uproar about it being cut last night for those who have dvr's tivo's... Lil Rounds needs to listen to the judges and sing a mary j blige song !!!! Alison will make it on her own after this - she does have a good voice and she knows how to play to the crowd... Teeth again !!!! OMW - that's just too much dentist for me - but I understand when I do have to go it's like 5 visits till it's all done... Thanks for the reminder it's Earl's bday- I will send him and ecard... Ya you are due for a loss if it's been 3-4 weeks since your last - we all know that you go for a while with zip then will drop 3-4-5 in one week... Well, I haven't eaten the Cookies - I am straving today too - I ate too much last night - dinner (fish rice spinach) - then snack pack popcorn then 1/2 cup strawberries & light whip cream then small sherbet cone - then 2 small bowls (total 1 cup) of raisin bran with 2% milk - So today I have just had 1 pear for bf - lunch 1 pot wonder 1 large cup pork/tomatoe sauce/little rice & corn - 8 cheetos - 2 french frys - just ate a string cheese... I could naw off my arm - but I know I don't need those cookies - my boss will be back tomorrow I will leave them on his desk tonite. well it's 3:59 - I go home at 4 - then gym - so talk to you all latter Phyl - please email me earl's email address - thanks.

    Ziplined and repelled in Pureto Viarita !!! Swam with the dolphins in Cabo Pretty Good for a 54 yr old GM who was never atheltic in her life before... 2 yrs ago on my last cruise could barely walk the length of the ship and ALWAY took the elevator no matter how long I had to wait This year took the stairs 95% of the time - walked the ship - even hit the gym - Had more energy that my 18yr old GS...

Phyl - did you get to see Adam sign last night on Idol - stupid show went into ot and stupid dvr didn't record - well now I have fixed that I set it to record 5 minutes longer.. I am going to have to go see if his song is on utube or some website. Hope the wind isn't too bad your way - it was a little breezey my wey.. Where has everyone been - the thread is a little slow ... Candice - how are you doing - you got 3 things coming up France - Us - Wedding.... Who's all going to Canada for sure ??? I am going to have to reschedule my mamo - was suppose to go 7/27 Not much to report - I got Easter Cookies on my desk :glare: will I eat or not - right now no - but who know what my mindset will be in a few hours - I am sipping my Pomegrante Lemonaid - My new fav thing (crystal lite on sale at target this week) I'm just pissed that I missed Adam on Idol last night... Know that you are in my thoughts and prayers - Wish I could fix it for you - I hate when I can't - but sounds like you do have things under control... xoxox Jaent Karla - portsite hurts the longest - I wore a pair of pants the 1st day back and they were just a tiny snug and that hurt my port (even though it's above my waist) - so I wore dresses for the first few week - nothing tight around my waist and that helped. Hugs on Dad being back in the hospital - Prayers for you and your family - I have been where you are now - one day at a time and go give your Daddy a big hug and tell him how much you love him..

    Good Morning Gang !!!! Happy Hump Day !!! One more work day for me - then off to see DS & Family for Easter !!! Charlene - I'm glad the shot helped your back - Gril you are doing great 7 lbs per month is your average weight loss - Keep it up !!! Long - Some seem to get reflux and what I have read it can be contributed to being too tight - Donna who's on my lucky#7 had an little unfill due to the reflux issue - I get a little heart burn sometimes but not often As to the last 20 lbs - Well for me - the last 7.5 lbs took about 5 months - 7/24 145.5 - 12/10 - 138 - I was very forturnate that from 250 - 145.5 came off pretty regular - I only had 1 week that I didn't lose any weight. The whole thinking this isn't going to work was in the back of my mind the whole time - and still is an itty bit now - will I keep the weight off - I gotta say for me I just kept up my healthy eating and exercise and my body found it's happy weight. If you just keep doing what you have been doing - it will come off !!! You have done so well - in no way are you a failure and I Know that you will get to goal - I have no doubt at all - Keep your thoughts postitive - remember this is your new lifestyle and not a diet... Apples - Well I guess no cooking today :0) - You will be getting a pm from me - I want to see your before & afters :0) Julie - So happy to hear you got your own jammies on - I know that will make you feel a little more comfortable and seeing you grandbaby will too.     Claudine - Glad your fill went well - it can take a couple of days for it to settle in - I was fine at the doc's office but then a day or 2 later couldn't drink my coffee in the a.m. I hope that this fill gets you to your sweet spot - It helps so much - but it's still work.. Hugs - Janet Apples - 2000 calorie is normal calories for a normal person - remember we aren't dieting and omw girl you are super super active. Am glad you are relaxing about the whole issue - that in it's self will help.. I think about what I eat - I don't go hog wild on anything - I eat pretty much what I want - I just focus on eating healthy and I do say no to those candy bars at the check outline and I don't let anything in my cart that I can't control.. I can't tell you the last time I saw my doc (well it was when I made the commercial) but I haven't been to his office since I think maybe May 08 - I guess I should make an appointment - I am due for another blood test - but I'm not a doctor person - I don't go unless I have to - I may call in the next few weeks and ask if they want to see me.. On the receip - I'm not big on brown rice - I like the wild rice idea... You are my mentor :wub: You are such a wonderful thoughtful woman - I just don't know where you find the time to do all that you do - do you sleep :mad: Phyl - you crack me up - I know that you will have a great come back for her once you go back home and see them again..

    Kathy - I am glad you haven't given up - If I were you I would start a thread - who is super tight in the morning and can eat whatever you want in the evening and see how others are dealing with this situation. I think I have read where others have this problem too.. I haven't looked at the whole forum lately - mostly just have time to post here - my lucky #7 and the 50 thread everynow and the and FB - there not enought hours in the day :0) but I know I have read that others have this issue too.. There is a lady nannook (something like that - look on the sleeve forum/thread) she had problems too - she had her band removed and went with the sleeve.. Julie So glad to hear you are doing better today.. Do they have any ideas as to what happend and how this happend??? Remember - we are here for you - prayer are being said for you - Hugs Janet

    Sandi Yes it's possible to not eat enough - During my weight loss phase I ate 800-1200 calories and varied them - I track my food religiously !!! You say what you are eating but not how much - or how may calories you are consuming a day - Kick up the exercise either length of time or intensity - I did that also every few weeks increase my speed - incline and length of time that I would work out - when you weigh 200 you burn like 300 calories walking 2 miles at 3.0 speed and no incline - but when when you weight 138 and walk 3 mile on a 4 incline you burn maybe 280 calories.. (not exact just example of why you have to up your exercise) Orea - Hugs GF glad you are on the mend... Grandmax19 Thanks I feel great... I am at my sweet spot and have been since 1/08 and haven't had a fill since then. I still deal with hunger everyday - I don't find that the band takes away my hunger - and it does nothing for my head hunger issues. What are you eating?? Last night for example I had 3 oz of steak - then yellow crooked neck squash and rice - I was still hungry after I ate my dinner - but it really was head hunger and wanting the taste of the food - as I was putting the leftovers up I kept eating the squash - it tasted so good. I am a big big advocate of tracking - I did it for a solid year and exercise is key too. Also varying your calories - cuz not matter what - weight loss is all about calories in vs calories burned. And your weight loss is not at a crawl either - I had weeks that I only lost 1/2 a lbs - but what counts is the average - it all adds up.. 25/5 = 6.25 a month which is very good - the average weight loss for a bander is 1 or 2 lbs a week so you are doing great - give your self credit Positive affirmations !!!!

    Good Morning Gang.... Not much to report - went to they gym last night worked arms - and think I pulled to much weight an pulled a muscle in my tummy - don't ask me how - but I got a little pain in the lower right quad of my tummy - it's better today... Dinner - 3 oz steak (got gas for the bbq) yellow sqaush - rice - Snack popcorn and fudgecicle. Menu today - Breakfast - SB protein bar - Lunch Squash 1 cup & bbq pork loin 3 oz - Dinner - fish rice spinach - Snacks - pear - pop corn - sherbet - 150 cal cheese its and 3 bottles of water... Well that's my plan anyway !!! Ok gotta get my butt in gear.. cbl.. Steph drive carefully Karla we all vent at one time or another and we all have family issues - so know that you are in good company and aren't alone with your issues...

    Mesha - As Phyl said - 1st place to check is with your insurance carrier as to weither or not they will cover the surgery - #2 Know that our bands are only tools to help us get healthy - It's not the magic cure all to our issues with food - it doesn't make our food choices nor does it exercise for us. There is alot of work involved - it's not the easy way out that so many think it is - You will do 75% of the work and your band will do 25% once you get to your sweet spot. Welcome Gurliegirl !!! Congrats on your accomplishments !!! You are doing really well. Yes LBT is a great site - I was luck to find it prior to being banded - I learned so much prior to seeing my doc - he was so impressed with all the knowledge I had prior to being banded. I would say that the support that I have gotten from this site and all my friends here is what has helped me get to goal and in maintenance too... Look forward to chatting with you... FDBAGPIPE - Sounds like gas pains - GasXstrips and walking helps Rose - I am lucky that my gym is like 2 blocks from my house and I come home from work change and hit the gym. It's not a meat market kind of gym - just regular pple are there - and I was so deterimned to lose this weight that I just went and did my thing and didn't worry about what pple thought - now I have a trainer that I pay so that assures that I am going to show up at least twice a week :wink2: I like it - I don't know if I would exercise at home - plus I don't want a treadmil in the middle of my living room :thumbdown: Julie - Yes drugs are very good - Please know you are in my prayers..     Hey Claudine Glad to see that you came back I know a few pple who have the Wii's and they love them - My DS got one for Xmas and when I talked to him yesterday my 5 yr GD was kicking his butt in bowling - I will try it out for the first time this weekend when I go visit them.. I hadn't wanted to invest that kind of $$ if I'm not going to use it - I belong to a gym across the street from my house where I do the treadmill and I also have a personal trainer who I work with 2 x week with weight - tonite was arms - Wed will be legs - I really doubt I will buy one since I go to they gym - but can't wait to try it out.. In reading your post from this weekend - sounds like you do need a fill but just don't get so tight that you can't eat at all - for me - I'm at my sweet spot and have been since 1/08 and even though I am physically full after dinner 99.9% of the time - I will still be mentally hungry - I want to continue to eat cuz it taste good... But in saying that I think that you should be able to eat somewhat normal - I could not survive on eating 1/2 cup of food per meal for the rest of my life... I like being able to eat my 4 oz of meat - 1/2 cup of veggies and a little rice if I have room - I belonged to curves once - but that was before the new machines - I thought someone here or maybe it was my lucky #7 that was going to join - but don't remember - who it was.. Yes keeping busy is key - that's why I am online right now - if I'm bored and want to eat I come to lbt and post and then go to Facebook and play pathword or parking wars just to stay out of the kitchen.. Isn't the internet such a great tool - we can check out menus so that we can pre-plan what we are going to eat... Hugs

    Becky On the tile issue - if you like white go for it - just seal it well and heck you are going to have runs down on the floor any way - and if the counter you are worried about - bleach :0) and seriously they make a sealer/color that you can pain over the old grout. Long Congrats on those smaller sizes - I know how unbelieveable it is - you get to 12 - oh that's as small as I am going to get then it's 10 - then 8's - It is possible... Keep up the good work..     Good Morning Gang I ran away with Trace for the weekend :smile: Oh Steph & Denise - I told him that I had to share with you guys - he said he would look you 2 up when he was in your hoods... :smile2: Really - I just didn't get on the computer - cuz when I do 3 hours goes by and I don't get anything done!!! Saturday - slept til 7:30 - then went to home depot bought 4 rose bushes and a rose tree - came home and started digging up old plant and planting bushes - just piddled in the yard - then went and got groceries. Yesertday - did my target shopping - put stuff up- washed - put up clothes - watched my Tivo'd ER & Lost shows and took a nap :wub: After Phyl called had to ck out my mentor thread - stuff going on there and heck it took 1 hr just to answer everyone' See what I mean about not getting anything done when you get on the computer before you know it 3 hrs has gone by... Due to the nap yesterday and the cup of coffee at 5:30 p.m. - I didn't get to bed til after 11 - so I am a bit tired myself this morning...

I agree to go for normal - I loved the challenge of it and heck after all the weight you have lost already another 20 lbs is nothing - I got to my 1st goal in May 08 160 (90 lbs) - got to 150 1 yrs & 1 week and then the rest just came off by eating healthy and exercising Friday it was so windy here it was just awful - Claudia - Welcome !!! You have already been given great advice - I am a firm believer in Tracking - I did it for the 1st year. Weight loss is all about calories in vs calories burn - simple math and snacking is fine as long as you have healthy Snacks and stay within your calorie budget... My calorie budget during my weight loss phase was 800-1200 varied and exercise 4-5 times a week. I don't track on paper anymore - but I do track in my head - I am very very aware of what goes in my mouth now a days.. Glad to have you join our group - it's a really great one even if I do say so myself... Oh ya - 69.8 lbs in 8 months is great 8.73 lbs average weight loss per month That's Very Very Good... Now that you are back on track - it will start coming off again... Apples - LMAO :smile::wub: [ Niecey - #1 don't let your daughter deter your goal to be healthy - I think that you really should stress the health issues with your girls. How did you screw up in the beginning ?? I would assume that you are cooking healthy meals now that you are banded and not buying as much junk Sit them down and talk to them - do this as a family - agree no more junk food in the house -taking them exercising with you is great!! They need to get healthy too - it's not about being a size - it's about our health and they need to learn healthy eating & exercise habits now. As most of us know it's so hard to be overweight and especially when you are a teenager. I stress healthy eating to my 2 GD's they are 5 and 14 - Julie - Omw - GF - Hugs & prayers !!!!
