Yep Linda those are things of the past and don't fit into our new lifestyle.. I use to fry everything - now I bake or if it do fry it's not dripping in grease like it use to.. I use to go thru a tub of butter (marg) 1 a week now a tub last almost a month... well off to the gym - yes it's 5 a.m on the west coast !!! but I didn't go tuesday nite so I gotta get my cardio in... This is the reason we are Mother & Daughter !!!! Karla - I read this last nite but had to get of the computer so I could eat my dinner (no rice last nite - have this competetion going on ;0) Any way Karri is Wright (pun intended :redface:) you don't have to eat breakfast food for breakfast - it can be whatever you want I too eat at work so the only time I do eggs is on the weekend - I use eggbeater (less calories same amount of pt) and make an omlete (Karri I now know what to fix you for BF its the same as I do eat when I eat bf on the weekends) I have made 1/2 sandwich on lite bread ham 5 piece 50 calories 1 2% cheese 45 call and the bread 40 cal and mustard - or I would just have the ham & cheese. Yogurt & garnola or fruit - SB bar lately has been my bf You really just got to make a menu up - shop for it and then plan your meals - Darling like I said it's you who has to do the majority of the work - your band doesn't pick your food only you do that and the foods you choose need to be healthy foods.. Phyl will you come and orignize my pics - I don't have them on my memory card there are on my computer but they need orginazing badly !!! - I start then I come here or fb and never get them done - it's so true about digital cameras - your pics never make it to print they stay stuck on your computer.. Well I was getting up at 4:30 to go to the gym at 5 -since I missed Tues day - but Angel woke me up at 4 - so why go back to bed for 1/2 hr - So here I sit drinking coffee waiting for 5.. Yesterday's food Bf - zip lunch - ck & salad 300 c D - fish - spinach - 200 Snack popcorn & sf pudding cup juice 240 and lets add 150 for something I have missed like that 1/2 string cheese and something else before I went to the gym last night... Total for yesterday 890 = round it up to 900!!! Well off to the gym and get my cardio done !!! TTYl

What's wrong with eating a cup of food - and how do you actually know how much you ate - are you measuring - did you use regular mayo or the ff or lite stuff - After you ate did you stay full- if so for how long.. Remember this is a lifestyle change - a normal portion size is a 1/2 to 1 cup depending on what you are eating... I have alway eaten 1 cup - some days in the very very beginning after surgery I was full on 3/4 - but I want to eat normal portion sizes not super size No I don't think you have a leak - I know all this kind of stuff runs thru our minds- My 1st fill I felt right away - but after 2 weeks I was back getting another one... As to wishing I had the sleeve - not really - they cut away your stomach - the band isn't that drastic - the problem with the band is that for each and everyone finding their sweet spot can be very difficult - Karri has a very very hard time - either she is too tight or 2 loose - she's 2 yrs in August and she has never been at a sweet spot. I have been very fortunate that I got to sweet spot in 2 fills and never really had any problems - I have only once awe maybe twice had acid reflux in the middle of the nite - I get a little heart burn every now and then I know a few pple who had the band and switched to the sleeve - it's the same principal as the band but it's permanent and you don't have the fill issues - but you have the same pbing - stuck etc issue.. Wasa & Oregondaisy are 2 who switched - if I lost my band - I would consider the sleeve cuz I never want to be obese again - but I would try on my own to keep the weight off - and if I couldn't then I would go to mexico and have it done... I wrote a big thing about fills back in the beginning of our journey - I wish I could find it - I looked once but couldn't find it - fills are physiological issues - cuz that's all we read about is I got this many cc - or she got that many cc's - you can't rely on your band to lose the weight - it's your food choices and exercise that are the things that make you lose the weight - yes we need restriction but 1 cup of food isn't enough restriction for you.. Do you think that eating only 1/2 cup of food is what you want - it really doesn't matter what your restriction level is - it's what you choose to eat and how much exercise you get I can eat 2 cup of crooked neck squash - plus 4 oz of meat - do I need a fill - hell no - that squash it a total slider food - could I eat an 8 oz steak hell no - I can eat 4 or 5 oz a little rice and a little veggies - quite worrying about your restriction and concentrate on your food choices - if you can eat 8 oz of red meat or chicken breast then you need a fill - that ck salad has mayo - it makes it a slider - you need to eat meat with no sauce to test your restriction Karla - as Karri so eloquently put it - this is work - it's hard work - you are the one who has do to the work - I have always said I did 75% of the work and my band did 25% And as you can see - even though both of us are at goal - we still struggle - but we are truly focused (obsessed some would say) on making this a total lifestyle change - we are obsessed about our health and the freedom that we have for both shedding 100+ lbs - it's liberating to finally be that person who was hiding under the fat...

Denise Congrats on the good food today and the exercise both days - My food wasn't great yesterday - not bad but not great.. Now that stupid of the state - why waste food - if they (the kids) don't want it then what's left over should go to a homeless shelter and that whole clean plate theroy that we were taught is what made us fat - and glutony is a sin too !!!! Heck I worked at our local homeless shelter one day and all those pple were made to get salad etc and I saw so much waste - not everyone likes salad - fruit etc - so why make them take it... Well back from the gym - my legs are starting to get sore from Monday - tomorrow they will be real sore and by Friday I think my triceps are going to be sore too.. Going to go to gym @ 5 a.m tomorrow since I missed yesterday... The sample sleep meds the doc gave me is : Restoril 7.5 (temazepam) - I am going to try it Saturday nite - won't on Friday cuz I do like to get up early and go to the gym ...

Charlene - that happens to me sometime - I get booted out - I was at work and didn't want my crops to rot and I had hired someone from the market place but then you and Aunt Coco (nichole from my #7 thread) were on my farms - so wanted to give you guys a chance to make some $$$ - Nichole let me harvest the other day.. I don't know how many acres I have yet - I think I can upgrade to a 20 x 20 farm - but gotta see if I have enought $$ - I wish we got 2500 for harvesting - something like $15 a plant depending on the plant :0) Long this is why I don't have a workout partner - cuz if they flake on you it's to easy to say oh I won't go either.. I had a freind who joined my gym but never went - I said well meet me there and I'll work out with you - that way if she didn't show I would be there - and that's what happend she never showed.. I don't have a wii - am considering getting one - I just don't know when I would fit it in - between fb & lbt and maybe and hour of tv a night (my r&r) I don't have any time...

Candice - I do have a dog sitter - in fact she cost about the same as taking them to the kennel only $10-15 more - the problem will be notice - say someone says lets go to vegas for the weekend - I just can't jump in the car and go.. Yes dear get dressed... Get out of the house - that's what I do on the weekend - or get involved in something like cleaning my closet out or drawers out - or making picture albums... I think I am just going to have to go get a Wii.. Candice I guess I didn't quote the med part - don't worry gf - I am not much of a pill taker (and I know they are addictive - I have a gf here at work who pops them all the time - the least amount of stress she pops a xanax - I did take a few after my bro died - but that was it - they helped me get thru the emontional times ) and they didn't help me sleep any better last night - I still woke up 2 maybe 3 time... I will try the sleeping pill on Fri or Sat - I will let you know the name when I get home they are 7.5 but timed released Kari - we all know what tired does to us - I know that you will exercise your butt off to make up for it - and you had to eat - so just go forward - I know you will have a healthy dinner Ok you can all yell at me - but I didn't eat bf - I know bad I had 1.5 bottles of water - 4 oz chicken breast and salad for lunch..and now drinking ice - omw after i eat I feel like someone has given me a sleepiing pill... Ok I got work to do - ttyl

Yes Laura on the ticker issue as long as the pple have it as public and not private - I know you can click on my ticker and see my weight loss week by week - click on see all data (i think that's what it says) at the bottom. I posted every Thrusday as that was my weigh in day... I go back to it everynow and then :0) Yep Charlene - You and DH are going to be one healthy couple and just think of all the flying and place you are going to be going and activities that you couldn't do before.

Meredith - I am glad you had that talk with your Dad.. Laura I woke up from my surgery being a big B - my DIL say I used the F word alot - I was B&M about being hot - wanting more ice etc... I had a pain pump so I just pushed the button and went to sleep - that Night the nurse from my doc office came to see me and gave me a grape popsicle - I cried cuz I was so happy !!! and I had shots for the 1st 24 hrs after the pump was taken away that night and the next day had gas pains so bad that I was afaird to go home.. I remembering crying to the doc - they let me stay another night - but truly after the last pain shot @ 1 on 7/18 I could have went home that night - it was my 2nd surgery my 1st was gall bladder when I was 30 - and back then you got cut open and stayed in the hospital for 3 days then went and stayed w/my Dad for 2 days then when home... the 2 lbs - this is why I stress not to get on the scale every day... Glad you can eat w/o pain Charlene - My gf who had bypass has stalled and she's 7 months out - 97 lbs. I really beleive your wl is going to jump cuz you are supporting your DH - so the out to dinners - snack here and there are going to go bye bye for a while :0) Well gotta get my butt in gear - CBL

Ruby - I too want to get on everyday now - as you all know I didnt during my weight loss phase I was good about 1 day a week - but since I have been to goal - I am like my DD get on every day all times of the day - I am obessed !!! I am so so very very afraid of gaining the weight back (always have been from day one) Challenge over 6/12 - that's the day I p/u my DD & GD from the airport :0)... Karla - I took the meds home - I will look up the name tonite Yep gf you are eating around your band - the only way to test for restriction is eating hard protein... You don't have to do chicken - as it's can be problematic for some - you can do beef & por & fish but what ever you chose to eat has to be moist and tiny bites and chew very well Karri Congrats on no cheesecake - I know for me it's best to have none than just a bite - cuz that bite causes you to want more - I WAS BAD last night - as you all know pooped and we all know how we react when we are pooped - well saved my York Peppermint Patty 140 cal for when I went to bed - well all that did was make me want more sugar - got up and had a fiber bar 140 and something else - I didn't give a shit - I just wanted sugar - My calories yesterday 1310 that cant be right - it seems like I ate way too much last night popcorn fudgesicle - candy - fiber bar and sf pudding.. oh ya juice add another 160 cal so thats 1470 - well that's not bad I guess if I was just maintaining but I have 1.5 to get off by 6/12 You make me want a Wii - but since I don't have anyone to play with I don't know what the use would be - I know they have a new assesory (sp) that $60 looks fun - Well I may just have to break down and get one - and if I do then I would spend less time on the computer - I guess I could join the Lucky #7 Wii challenges.. Karla - I'm burnt out too - I would love another job - but what would pay the same - benefits etc - I don't know if I want to start over again - and all those coffees orders - lite expressor w/haz nut and choc and all those ways they order cofffee that I don't understand - too complicated- I think I want to be a wallmart greeter - )

Hey Gang - I thought I posted this morning - I know I read ... Busy at work then had dr appointment at 10:30 didn't get back to the office til after 12 - Now I remember why I don't go to the doctors - I hate sitting in the waiting room for 45 minutes - then the back room for another 15/20... Just a regular ck up & pap... Got to go make appointment for blood test - Meredith - Like Julie said - pple die from getting any type of surgery - I can't quote the #'s but it's very very very low with lap band and you have youth on your side.. Laura - glad your sis is ok - and your sis is going to drop fast at first - but I bet you both end up at the same place when all is said and done - You both are going to be a hell of a lot thinner and healthier no matter which way you go there.. Ya your doc sounds a little like he doesn't like the band - I will tell you .01 does make a diff - that's how much my last fill was - and it's been almost 1.5 yrs ago.. Charlene I have a gf back east who's having surgery on the 17th too. I bet your dh having surgery is going to boost your weight loss... Ya farming - between that and lbt - I have no time for anything else - I am pooped tonite - so this is going to be quick - I farmed - just harvested my crops - don't feel like planting tonite :0) Apple - I agree with you 100% it's time for YOU.. Wtg on the biking Candice -- I am really proud of you... That's a big deal - My office is most likely 5 miles - but no way would I bike - I would be all hot and sweaty and too many cars - I am a clusts (sp) Linda - Hugs on the issues with your band - did you have ulcer - have they tested you for that and the bacteria that causes them - you are 100x more medical than me - but I read about someone (oh I think on my mentor thread) who had ulcers and had to take antibotics to clear them up ??? I burp sometimes but ususally cuz I ate too much Karla - 1 lbs is one 1lb - be happy - but gotta say your food could be better - you aren't really eating that healthy - remember this is a lifestyle change - I know that you were super busy this past weekend - but I really really plan my food - if you don't plan it's to easy to make the wrong choices and grab anything- You aren't eating real food - cheese is high in fat - It's something I don't do often at all When are you going for and unfill so that you can eat real food. To me most of your food today has been snack type foods - not actual meals.. Hugs on your fur baby troubles - hope she's ok - I don't know what I am going to do for weekend when I want to go somewhere when andrew leave - I think kenneling my dogs would stress them out... Plus the cat ... -------------------------------------------------- We gang went to the doc today - got my physical and pap- have to make appointment for blood test - I got some sample sleeping pills and xanaz only 5 mgs - she thinks 1/2 will help me sleep - I should have told her that even though I look tiny I have a high tolerance to meds.. But she gave me 60 so - I will take the xanax tonite - and save the sleeping pills or friday or saturday incase I wake up to dopy.. Hopefully I can get a good nite sleep.. I didn't go to the gym - I am pooped - infact I am getting off the computer shortly - didn't get off til after 9 last night Food today BF - sb protein bar 140c Lunch 4 oz ck breast & Salad 310 cal total Dinner - fish rice & salad 420 cal Snack: york pm patty 140 c Popcorn 100 - fudgsicle 100 Total 1210 - Not good on water today - 2 bottles so far

Good Morning Gang... Karla - throw the damn cake away now and any other junk food that calls you - darling that is a lesson you have to learn - when it calls you and you have no control - you gotta throw it away - no matter the cost... This is what will keep you from re-buying a trigger food - well at least for me it does - I might be at the store and see something I want (usually a sweet) but I know that I won't stop at one piece and it's going to call me and I know I will end up throwing it out - and wasting the $$$ cuz I had 1 or 2 and threw the rest out... I have NO AND I MEAN NO CONTROL AT NITE. During the day I am pretty controled - but at night watch out.. Kari - Hugs I am sorry and send prayer and hugs at the loss of your BIL.. I know how hard loss is... Remember I am on your other shoulder - telling you no to drink the soda... WTG on your 12's !!!! :frown: We have a whole year til our next trip - so your DD doesn't have to rush - plus you have major stuff going on right now - so it can be put on the back burner for now - but the passport issue can't - you can go on line fill out the form - go to the post office to get your form and put it in the mail this week.. Was it that B who has the class room next to you and pissed cuz they like you better??? Hugs !! School is almost over - What' your last day.. Then you are coming for some R&R and a little mothering ok - so just keep that in your mind - 2 more weeks and I will have someone taking care of me What an AH your XDH is - F him - but I understand about the girls - but they understand - it's not your fault -I would be pissed too.. Ya buying food for parties is expensive now a days... One thanksgiving I bought all the trimmings my bro cancelled my uncle cancelled and I was pissed... Took Angel to the vet after gym - she is better and I really love this vet - she said lets wait and see - it's improved since last week and if it gets bad again - all I have to do is call and we can schedule the surgery - she's not trying to make me spend $$$ if I don't have to - She (angel) has a bruise on her knee - so maybe she did something when I wasn't home - As to slipping back very easily - yep we have to stay diligent 24/7 - we can't let our guard down - I am almost 2 yrs out (7/17 will be my 2 yrs) and I still keep my guard up - cuz I know how easy it would be to say f it and eat the easy stuff.. CONGRATS ON EXERCISE 2 X TODAY - DON'T YOU FEEL GOOD ABOUT YOU !!! Yep you can take it for lunch .. Ok Karla - 6/12 is weigh in day for the 5 lbs weight loss challenge... I think I pissed Kari off - so it may just be you steph candice and linda.. Well gang it's 9 and I haven't eaten - so I am going to say good night talk to uou all in the a.m.

Laura that machine is suppose to tell you about your metabolism... Do you log your food - I'm sorry I forget who does and doesn't - heck I'm old :0).. Again you may not be getting enough calories and your body holds on the the fat. I know that;s hard to wrap your mind around but it's true - eat more (healthy foods) and weigh less.. Men what can I say - it's their muscles that do it - they have more than us - that's why weight training is good the more muscles we have the more calories we burn by just breathing.. This is why I keep up with my weight training I leg pressed 290 tonite - pretty damn good for an old chick don't you think... In fact an older lady next to us asked how much I was pressing trainer told her about 300 but the weights where 270 and the bar is about 20 - She was impressed. Then we did these streaches I call them I was holding a 40 lb bar bell (the long ones) and was to let it touch the floor (like touching your toes)- well I am quite limber (they joked about that) so it was easy - so he had me stand on a box and lower to below my toes then straighten up again -after 15 it was a work out - I am going to be sore come Wed/Thrus day... Meredith - you are normal - and those 25 days are going to fly by - When do you start your pre op diet Linda - you are dedicated I won't drive 30 minutes to mine - I get home to late and it interfears with my exercise... For me LBT has been my support - I should go but I'm lazy :0) they don't start till 6 - and not over til 8 ish and really didn't find it that helpful - and I gotta say I am a better mentor on line you can't see my face - cuz when I read that some one ate a slice of pizza 2 days out - I can type nice things to say - but my face and body language would be saying "STUPID" Well as you all know I am pretty blunt - but do try to take into consideration that typing a response is diff than talking so I do my best to try and no offend pple. Apples - glad to have you back are you going to get interent at the lake.. We do miss you.. and yes Men can be real pills sometime - but sounds like yours is a keeper so this too shall pass Long - I don't think support groups are any diff than LBT look at all the pple who have posted here then quit - I don't understand it myself - it helps me stay on track - but I guess to each their own - I would love to go to a meeting just to show them what is possible - but that would be too pridefull and as you all know I am pretty ridged and alot of pple don't like that - imho don't want to hear the truth and that WE ARE DOING THE WORK AND NOT THE BAND IT'S JUST A TOOL. You DS must have been in alot of pain cuz most men don't just go to the hospital - heck I don't either - It has to be major - I am not a doc person even now.. Congrats Apples - isn't it funny what some think is no biggie is a biggie for us - WTG !!!! CONGRATULATIONS ROSE ON GETTING TO ONDERLAND :smile: Well - did my gym - took Angel to doc - we are just going to give her leg a bit as it is improving - I like that the doc just dosen't want to take my $$$ to have a surgery that she may or may not need... I personally love hearing what you did today - better than me sitting at work - doing work and a little farming :smile: BF - SB pt bar 140 c - Lunch BBQ Ck 4 oz - 1 cup squash 2 - 16.9 oz crystal light 1 - 16.9 oz Water - 16 oz coffee 1 ww cheese stick 50 cal 1 cracker 15 c - Gym in a few - weigh nite - legs - dinner will be my usual fish rice veggeis and maybe a salad instead of veggies.. After gym taking Angel to vet to schedule surgery cuz she's still limping not as bad - but still not normal.. ok gotta jam - I will talk to you all later Linda - how are you doing with the cake (gotta say white choc has become a fave of mine) Kari mustn't be that mad at me she's sending me email :w00t: Karri how did you do today - did you scumb to the devil food/choc - I doubt it - but thought I would ask :wink: Joseph eats like that !!! It's sicking to watch

Throw it away !!!! That's what I would do... Wasteful but better in thee than in me... I could not take it looking at me all afternoon I just ate lunch 4 oz ck breast & 1 cup squash - am not physically hungry but could still eat - there were oatmeal raisin cookies in the lunch room but just said no - my office is in another wing so I won't be tempted - I will just have another crystal lite... 2 x 16.9 + 16 coffee - am on my 3rd water bottle (well with crystal lite in it) Darling - I don't do a 10 minute mile so bravo - that's almost running- for me at my weight and age (we are the same age) walking a 15 min mile at zero incline burns like 85 calories - this is why now adays I usually walk on a 6 or higher incline - it's what burns the calories is the incline...

Long - CONGRATS 125 LBS GONE !!!! WTG :party: Cut the carbs to every other day and you will get the 126 by your 1 yr anniversary !!!! Even if you don't - You have done EXCELLENT !!!! Glad to hear DS is ok ... Prayers & Hugs Janet Joann Phyl is one that won't lose for a few weeks then have a 3 or 4 lbs loss - some pple are that way - you are losing and that's what is important - you are following the rules - you may benefit from increasing your cals to 1200 one day a week. Let us know how the fill goes

WTG !!!! :party: How's the Mom situation going?? Well if we praticed 8 hrs a day like him we could eat like that heck we did eat like that (well almost as bad) prior to being banded :smile: The only reason I don't want to be served is cuz if it's on my plate I will try to eat it I am bad if it taste good I want to eat it - Last night was full and knew it but didn't stop my taste buds from wanting more food - didn't but wanted too - But gotta say say if I'm at a freinds house they know I can't eat as much so they don't pester me.. I was going to ride my bike to work today for exercise but its freeking raining:mad: Muscle Milk they have a light one - I've seen it at my target and I think Costco has them - look in the diet section of the stores - it's very popular... Well you have your Wii tonite... Ruby - The mind battles is where our probllems really lie - congrats on beating them !!!! Karri - so glad those days are gong (tom) but I still get the cravings - I use the dark sf puddings & WW or Heathy Choice Fudgesicle to curb my choc cravings - Or protein bars but as we all know those can end up being like candy bars - one is too much 10 not enought :0)... Drink you water I know that it's bs that it helps takes away hunger (well it doesn't for me :tt2: - but if I add some crystal light it does help a tad) Kari - you can quit ignoring us - it you want to drink soda - go for it - I won't say another word - it's not worth you ignoring us - just trying to help that's all - just tell me to back off if I piss you off... No just now farming - I planted fields that take 20 hrs to be ready :0) and that gives me 20 hrs to harvest - I hate when I don't get back and they go to rot !!!! Stay strong for the Team.... I went shopping to get out of the house - didn't buy much - cuz I have everything already :0) -came home had 5 shrimp and some popcorn - little nap about 1 hr.. Dinner - will be Steak & salad and some watermelon or cherries and gotta bbq chick breast for my lunch this week - I am trying to cut the carbs at lunch - Linda - sorry for the cold weather - it's high 90s here - not too hot but hot enought for the a/c :0) Karla has her graduation party this weekend Kari is ignoring us - well really me cuz I got after her for the soda yesterday :0)... Oh Karri - my arms are saggy but I don't think they would chaff my skin isn't that thin but don't know - I don't run :0) just walk fast - I did do a 14 min mile :0) Can't you take a long sleeve shrit and cut the arms to elbow length... The make some tissue materail shirts w/elbow sleeve at target we will look when you are here - they are very thing material.. Sorry that you and Ginette didn't win !!! Snow - like I told Linda it's high 90 here... Well tomorrow you are going to have to make sure you exercise...

Laura I would sit and contemplate my sense of fullness and I was/am full but want to eat - We have lost touch with this feeling and it's normal to be hungry 3-4 hours after a meal - Pple think that the band will cure it all - but as we know it doesn't... Ya this girl is good - but I guess they have diff rules than us (eating Protein 1st) ya they are more carbs than us.. Well, I went to the gym this morning 3.5 miles 400+ cal burned - did a little shopping - took a mini nap and now farming of FB - thought I would ck in and see what's up looks like a quite day... Well back to my farm - CBL - Hugs

Well home from the gym 3.5 miles burned 400 calories I have now the paper read - gotten 33 oz of water drank - getting ready to pay bills since tomorrow is the 1st then do some wash - clean - veggie shop and nap :0) CBL

OMG WTF IS MY POST !!!!!! I WROTE A LONG ONE 3 HRS AGO!!! Well I was just about to get off the computer - I posted here and my mentor thread - then went to farm .... WTG:thumbup: Kari - I looked up your squirt - 120 calories for 8 oz - did you drink 8 oz or 20 oz bottle - if it was a 20 bottle you had 300 calories !!!!! 1Day It's a joy - I love the pple I meet here - we all have the same issue - our addiction to food!!!! We might have diff kinds of problems - but really we are more alike that we are different - Like I always say - No on understands a fat chick like another fat chick does - our skinny friend don't always really get us - they don't understand truly about our addiction to food.. It's not my letter - I read something like this when I 1st joined lbt - then Phyl found it and read it at her TOPS meeting - she Posted it on my 7 thread and I posted is back in Early Februray for the newbies at that time - that's why Linda said it might help the pple who have joined since then - It's a great letter - if I remember author is unknown.. But yes - food aka our lover - is really nothing but a cheating abusive bastard !!!! So time to kick him to the curb... IMHO
