Steph - Hugs - I remember you saying that Jeff & Michael didn't have much of a relationship when we were in Minn - When do you go to the family therapy.. Hopefully that helps - I wish we could fix it for you - I feel your pain - blended families are hard - it's one of the reasons I am divorced.. Karla - Masters program - it's cuz you will get a pay raise right - That's going to be tough - hell you don't have time for yourself as it is.. I have a hard time getting orignized too - not enough hours in the day - and I procrastanate too.. Phyl - Maybe it's just muscles that haven't been used and your body is readjusting its self - We will keep good thoughts. WTG on your walking !!! Jackie - Sounds like things are going good for the family... That's great - I love and cherish those times..     Hey Gang Just popping in for a minute - I read earlier before I left work but didn't have time to post - went to the gym did 2 miles on the treadmill and 1 mile on the elliptical - came home fed Andrew - Fed the Cat - Fed the 2 Dogs (still have to feed me ) and answered an email from a lady who lost her band due to slippage - lost 85 lbs and now doc saying she might not qualify for another band - she explained it's a replacement not a new one - I have always worried about this - plus my insurance has changed - I don't even know if my new policy covers wls - could have exclusion for all I know.. Does anyone know anything about how this would be handled if you lost your band? Phyl - glad you had a good time with GD !!! It's so hard to eat healthy when you are out - those are usually my treat times.. Julie - Hugs on your pain issues - that has to be awful - I'm not good with pain - hopefully they will find out what's going on and you can get some relief .. Apples - Hugs on losing your friend - My Aunt (who lives in TX and I went and visited in Feb) is in hospic - she's fading fast - she's 93 she's had a full life - but I am losing the last of my Dad's siblings.. Charlene - Hugs on your issues - I have only had one surgery prior to my band (gall bladder) and the only thing that affects my band is stress Laura - I have only been super full for a long time a couple of times - once it was a lean cusine feddicine alfreado w/chick and I don't remember the other time - usually I eat and within a few hrs I am ready for another meal - so when I stay full like that - I count it as a blessing ;0) - it's telling me my band is working - Great - Yep it's most likely the exercise (or should I say lack of) and not being super careful with what you eat - today - I was going to skip the gym - but I didn't go Saturday - I clean the house very very good and pulled weeds so I did move - but I think you are like me - exercise & healthy eating is key to keep the weight off - I quit buying nuts too - Yep they are good for you but a couple of handfuls a couple times a day is a lot of calories.. I understand your freaking - just pay attention to what you are eating - watch the treats & carbs. Snow - it's still in the 100's here :tongue2: Linda - My son's 38 - and hell no I don't feel old - age is just a # ;0) Cheri - Gf you can do it - and it's not dieting - it's eating healthy - eating healthy isn't dieting - please take diet out of your vocabulary - If you are extra hungry eat some more veggies - that's what I did between fills - I just stayed away from the carbs - had my alloted amount and that was it - maybe they will have a cancellation and you can get in earlier. Gitrdone - Great news ... I need to go get my blood test - but I'm terrible about the whole fasting - cuz of my night eating - which I still do... just not like I use too and the mintue you tell me not to eat - i want to eat... Sharon - Dee - Eva - Meredith - who am I missing - Melissa shout out to you all - I need to go feed me - and watch some t.v. (if i missed someone and I most likely have - didn't mean to - but I'm old - oh ya Laura K Amanda )

    Kari I do have family tree on my parternal grandma's side of the family going back to 1600's I have this booklet Memorials of the Sidneys & Woolletts Mary Ann Sidney Woollett was my great great grandmother from England - she married George Durrant who was my GGF - I have a cousin or something - Carol Ann and her DH did family tree - I have this memorial booklet from my Aunt when I went and visited in 2004 - It's something I would like to to when I am retired - it takes a lot of time and now that my aunt won't be around I won't have alot of info - I would like to to my Dad's side of the family - I have my grandfather's birth certificate - His Mom was from Ireland - so I have a little info.. PROUD OF YOU FOR NO SODA !!!!! Your soup wasn't the best choice - but you had a lite dinner - so hopefully it balanced out... Well cooked for Andrew - fed the cat - fed the dogs now I get to feed me.. Went to the gym - 2 miles on the treadmill 1 mile on the eliptical.. Well cbl going to go feed me...

    Thanks Gang I called Trinity Towers today (that's where my aunt lives)- to ask how she's doing - I think I talked to her nurse - they asked had I talked to Chris and said yes that I understood the situation - I asked that they tell her that I called and that I loved her.. When Chris (her stepson) called last week - I did say a pray that if her cancer was back to please take her quickly - but this is really bumming me out - I guess being so far away - and yes it was after Michael's death that I went and saw her - cuz tomorrow not promise. Yes I am glad I did - I am losing my last link to my Dad - to my Grandma - to someone who can tell me about the old days.. The nurse said she's on morphine so that's good.. Phyl - don't break the zoloft up - I think it's time released - just ask for a lower dosage or do what I did when I got off them - I would take them everyother day - then every 3 days etc - and just stopped taking them all together.. Candice doing good - love your challenge 160 ~~ to 150 WTG

    Good Morning Gang... Phyl - You rock girl !!!! I am just so impressed - but again I knew that you would be the energizer bunny once you got then knee fixed... for me on the step I would like to put it up on something to get a little more work out - but have to find a stable box to to put it on. I like the boxing on the Wii Active the best - I need to pull that one out - I just don't have enough hours in the day to do all the things I would like to do.. Yoga is really all about the core - I'm not great - but did better than Kaitlin this summer :bored: Cheri - isn't it funny that we end up talking like our parents - aches pains bm's etc :smile2: it's hell getting old - what can I say.. Hugs on your issues though - that has to be tough - I have a few aches but not many and I am thankful for that. Amanda - Glad your fill went well and sounds like you have a great doc !!! Didn't think you were negative at all .. This is hard work (the band) you have done great by not re-gaining - you have alot to be proud of - now that your head is back in the game - you are going to get the rest off. The sky's the limit once you make up your mind... Linda Congrats on your 2 lbs - you have done very very well.. Be pround of the work you have done Eva - We arent dieting - we are eating healthy - I know that seems like dieting but it's not - it's really hard to get use to it and when you are tired and stressed - you want those comfort foods - I still do - most days I win the battle - but some day's I don't..     Good Morning Gang Jackie Glad you are a little calmer today - Yep GF you know we give good love here !!! I still see you are the clean clean cleaner - I need you to come to my house and do my blinds - I dusted them this weekend but then need washing .. Really the taters weren't good - I don't eat them often (maybe once every 6 months) but I am lucky I can eat anything - fries - whatever - Last night skipped the rice just had the pork and veggies - popcorn - well did have a few bites of Andrew's mac & cheese (that's really why I skipped the rice ;0) - That rain you are getting is killing pple in georgia - I just saw a glimpse of it as I was taking out the trash this morning - but there is major flooding there... Steph - Hugs it will be ok - we are keeping good thoughts and prayers. I can only do treadmil if I have my Ipod on, I can't do it without it... It's to fricking hot to walk outside here - and when it does cool off - it's too dark.. Karla - I need to maintain - but the only draw back is that ornaments would be received after xmas :0)... Linda - Hugs - I would love the reflex thingie - I need it right now - have a lot of tention in my shoulders and for some reason my bp is up - I took a pill last night - but this morning I am feeling the headache I get when it's up.. I am going to have to montoir this and maybe go to the doc to change my meds - I'm on 50 mg of antenol... Well thats about all I gotta report - Will cbl - Hugs everyone

    Good Evening Gang... Back from the gym ... Pooped - I had spinach salad w/feta cheese - avocado - red onion & my yogurt dressing and 2 oz of steak - not enough carbs for my work out BBQing a pork tenderloin that's been marinating since yesterday Last night made instant potatoes (I ususally love them) ate 1/4 cup they didn't taste good - the cauliflower tasted better - so threw the taters out and had more cauliflower - so tonite rice - cauliflower and pork.. Jackie GF Chill please !!! Why are you so worked up - hell surgery is surgery - there are complications from the band too - I understand she's your child - but don't think the worse - think positive just like Linda said. You put your life on the line getting the band - you could have left your children motherless.... But you still had surgery - they still put you to sleep and that imho is the scariest part of surgery.. She will be ok... She has all us praying for you and her !!!! Phyl - you rock girl !!! I don't know what else to say... I can't wait to see you walking !!! You can get an arm thingie for your blackberry - and I tell you something - I can't walk without my ipod - if it runs out of batteries - I am done .. I know it's an excuse but I gotta have my music when I am on the treadmill - Love Whitney Houston's new CD !!! I don't think it's your type of music - but Makes you Feel like a million dollar bill song is great to walk on the treadmill with - it's up tempo - I have mostly up tempo music on my ipod - some slow jams for when I do high inclines.. Well gang I got some really sad news - got a call from my Aunt Dot's stepson - I guess her cancer has metastasized - she's in hospic - she can't swallow - so it's a matter of time and she is fading fast.. Don't know how the cancer came back like that (she had a masectomy 7/02) and last we had talked she was clear - but I guess it popped back up.. This is the last of my Dad's family - that I know - I have 2 cousins but they are like 18 yrs older than me and I don't know them (they lived on the east coast and I'm here on the west) Well my dinner's done - I am going to go eat - I think Dancing with the Stars is on tonite... I'll chat with you all in the morning xoxox J

    Good Morning Gang I have been MIA all weekend - Sat morning didn't make it to the gym- doggies had appt 8:45 then I had one at 9 - and my gym doesn't open til 7 on weekends - so not enought time to get my workout - shower and dress - plus I HATE rushing - So took the dogs - got hair cut then came home and cleaned my house from top to botton - didn't finish mopping til 7:30 and gf came over and wanted to go eat - so I jumped in the shower and went with her to eat - she ate and I had a glass (2) wine - then went to karokee bar for about hour or so.. Yesterday food shopping and relaxing... Dee (nawlins) I too had bad gas pain but it was the 2nd day that that hit - but after that one bad espiode it wasn't that bad again - I will get it every now and then i I over eat. Laura - I will tell you that yoga crap is hard !!!! and so is the hula hoop and trying to catch the ring - forget that soccer one - I'm not super corridnnated - I like the step but need to do more to unlock a more advance verision... Laura K - I would hate for anyone to video me on the wii lol Amanda - Welcome !!! You have done very well - so quit putting yourself down Yes you can do whatever you put your mind to - You can't change the past all you can do is move forward - So hope your fill goes well today... You can breakdown that wall- you can acheive whatever goals you set for yourself..

    Good Morning Gang!!! My you all were busy this weekend - I had 4 pages to read !!! Linda CONGRATS on GK#2 - I am so happy for you!!! I didn't get to the gym on Saturday - just didn't have time - Dogs to the groomers - hair appointment - target shopping got new vaccum and mop - came home and cleaned my house from top to bottom - didnt finish til 7:30 - Debbie came over and wanted to go eat - well I went with her but had 2 glasses of wine instead of food and then we went to a local dive that has Karoke (had 2 tequilla tonics) - some guy sang a song to me (unchained melody) - told him thanks but no thanks wasn't looking for a 1 nite stand or even a relationship.. Yesterday - got up was out of the house by 9:00 Target/Winco home by 12 - groceries put up and watching t.v./napping by 1:30.. Food - I am still an addict - it never goes away !!! I was starving - wanted something but didn't know what - it takes less time to make a quesidilla than it does to make a salad - that's the problem - when you are hungry you want to eat now and healthy food just seems to take longer to prepare I hear you on the PB cheese crackers - they are a fav of mine. - I was glad when they were off the shelve for a while - they are something I eat when traveling (airplane) that and trail mix with m&m's :biggrin:) Jackie - You look wonderfull !!!! Will your insurance pay for a sleeve - I know that some are. IMHO it's less drastic than bypass due to the malabsorbtion issues - I know plenty of pple who have had bypass and they are just fine - I just read a report that indicated less pple are having issues with bypass than before - that doc's have gotten really good at it Karri - I am glad to hear that you are getting back on track - You don't know how good that is to hear. I have been very very worried about you.. You say you don't need a fill - I have been saying the same thing to myself - I wonder if we are just telling ourselves this cuz we want to be able to eat - yes we have restriction but not like we use to.. I know it's mostly about our food choices - but heck why did we get the band cuz we all needed the help.. To fill or not to fill - that is the questions - I don't know - I can eat more than 1 cup - but again that 2nd cup is usually veggies - so it's the choices not so much the amount (well it is - but you all know what I mean) Ok gang - gotta get to work !!!     Nope Candice I can live without them ... As stated my sex drive has dried up - I used it all up when I was young So if I did meet a guy he would have to be perfect and I don't think there is such a thing.. I know I am :thumbup: but I was born WRIGHT :thumbup::thumbup: OMG Phyl - WTG - YOU ARE GOING TO BE IN ONDERLAND BEFORE YOU KNOW IT !!! YOU ARE SUCH AN INSPIRATION !!! So what happen to the daughter... Well, I know internet dating is the thing to do now a days - but for me - it's not something I would do.. Ya I have looked at the site - and ck'd the men out - but I just don't think I could do it - Linda - Well -God willing nothing happens to Mel - but it if did you could move out here to Palm Tree Land and we could hang out - I can kill spiders no problem !!!! Andrew's license is suspended so he's not going anywhere for a while - He's working for his Step-Dad in the office - He's ok not having any major issues at the moment - I gotta say for the most part I have been lucky with him - he gets mouthy sometime - but no real problems (not doing drugs- he did graduate from HS and he's working) Oh the kittens are so cute 4 weeks - they can now climb out of their box - there were in my bedroom and here in the office when I got home from work yesterday - so put the baby gate up so they stay in the spare room - put some food & water & litter box in there.. I go in an play with them about once a day - so that they get use to humans - Andrew says they hiss at him - they don't hiss at me :thumbup: Doggies go to the groomers at 8:45 a.m. - I have hair cut at 9 - So my workout in the morning is going to have to be fast and maybe a little short - gym doesn't open til 7 - and I will still need to come home shower - dress - get the dogs in the car - so it will be a bit of a rush... I need to do some deep cleaning - since Andrew is working 5 days a weeks my house isn't getting cleaned like it use to and I need to go grocery shopping - but that's about it - no great plans... Steph Did you call the cops?? Ya Jeff needs to step up to the plate here... Well all you can do is take one day at a time and yes someone always has it worse than we do.. You are under alot of stress and that's most likely causing your problems - I know when I am stressed I am tight... Hugs - one day at a time

    Cheri - LOL - Yep I got my band for the same reason - the looks is icing on the cake.. To day a girl who use to work with us came in the office - the last time I saw her was 10/07 at a retirement party - I had loss some lbs by then - don't remember how much but remember that the velevet top & pants were 16's and I thought I was looking pretty hot - Well she had just had triples and was 100 lbs over weight - well today she was skinny - She had bypass - she said that seeing me and talking to me that night (It was me telling her I didn't know why I wasted so many years being fat is what influenced her to go for it) In talking to her today - she was/is just like the rest of us - we go go go - do for everyone else - food is what we do for us !! Ya but after that blow up with Russell & Jordon - and it was his payback to Jeff .. Well now on to Surviovr - except I didn't know it was on last night - missed it - with all the new and old tv programs on - I don't know when I am going to have the time to watch them all.. Julie - I hope you can get a nap in today - I hate it when I can't sleep... Apples - Have a great time - I wish I was doing something fun... Nawlines - How are you feeling otherwise - I don't remember my tummy being bloated - but it was big to begin with.. That was too funny - I thought it was for reals too !!! Laura - I was suppose to get an ultra sound but no one has called - since I am menopausal - I hoped it has shrunk - I have 2 one was the size of an orange - I am going to have to call the doc to see what happend . Ya the water think I can't drink fast either - How's your dad.. Well, gang - I was busy at work today even though our client system went down - we still had email and word to work on.. I got up this morning at 4:15 with the intention of going to the gym - but I was physical too tired - so I did my Wii fit instead for 1/2 hrs - step - yoga - balance thingie.. Not much to report - went to lunch w/gf - had a salad - dinner will be my left over fish w/salsa - brown rice - spinach.. Tomorrow - gym - but am going to have to be fast cuz they don't open til 7 and doggies have to be at the groomers at 8:45 and I get a hair cut at 9 - so that leaves me like 1/2 to shower & dress - but gotta say that it's a lot eaiser to do now a days - Well, going to go ck my 7 thread - cbl - Hugs

    Great - You have been with me from the get go - of course I am going to miss you... There was something I wanted to tell you - oh ya - BB - SHOCK that Jordon won !!! But so glad it wasn't Nat - I really wanted Kevin to win cuz he really did play the game. I understand you have been busy - but after a week I start to worry about my peeps... Have you picked a dress yet - when you do we want a pic of it ;0) Apples - sorry you got sick - I need to get my flu shot this weekend and then the swine flu one when it comes out.. Hugs on your gf surpise separation - glad you are there for her.. Yes you knew we would worry :0) We love you... Linda - I didn't notice that in your pictues :0)... Yes they are suppose to be in the middle of your upper arm - Go get some new bras - they will make you look thinner !!!! You will have the will power - it took alot to get where I am and I am NOT SCREWING IT UP THIS TIME !!! I plan to get up early tommorrow too - I gotta get back down below 140... Ya I bet it would be hard to make the transistion from nite to days - but it will come :0) I don't think pple with fluro have it any better than us who have doc's who do blind fills - it's such a diff thing for each of us - but I am glad you have restriction - that's the biggest drawback of the band - is getting to the sweet spot.. I Laura - Love Nelson's picture !!!! Hugs on your Dad - that has to be so so very frustrating not to know why this keeps happening... I will pray that you can get him to JH !!! Darling I'm on a treadmill at that speed not a stepper... and I have been doing this for 2 yrs now.. You will be kicking my ass pretty soon... Well gang it's 7:30 I need to go make my fish w/mex salsa I got from the guys who bring the food - I love their salsa - so I got that today - while everyone ate their mex food - I did have a bite of someones rice cuz it was diff today - omw it was good - I could taste the fat it in - so tonite I am having mex catfish - brown rice - spinach... Hugs & Prayers for all my girls - Hope tomorrow is a better day... xoxox J

I love my freedom - I guess I would have to find a guy like Linda's DH who doesn't require my time lol - heck she wants him around and I want a man who has his own stuff to do.. What would you like to do differently this holiday season? 3. The Great Plate Experiment: Week 1 Week one of the plate downsizing experiment is officially over. We’ve moved the old tired chipped dishes out of our kitchen and are now eating off pristine, white 10-inch plates (9.75-inches actually), just like Brian Wansink recommends. As you may recall, the author of Mindless Eating and his team have done research on plate size and food intake and found that simply reducing your plate size from 12-inches to 10-inches could result in an 18 pound weight loss for the average American.     That's it !!!!- OMW the food looks so frigging good !!!- and in one meal enough calories for a weeks worth of food !!!! But if I remember prior to traveling somewhere I would go look up that area and go to one of those places - I know he did one in San Diego a few weeks back... I loved with Paula Dean's boys did there show road tasted - I ordered some cajun food from one of their shows - It's good !!!!

    Gitrdone I can't watch cooking shows - they make me want to eat - I love Paula Dean !!! Alton Brown and Guy Dive & Drive in - something like that - I love high fat - sweets... I remember when the food chanel 1st started and I watched it all the time - I gained weight - it wasn't that I was cooking their foods - but my own - but watching food make me want food. Ya - Men - why can't a hamburger just look good - Hell - I am not a fast food eater to begin with - but those $6 burgers at Karl's always make me want one..

    Ok - Ya a 4 lane highway is a whole nother story and that steep driveway - you don't want to injury your knee - so follow the pt orders - he knows better than us - if it was just a short block with a regular 2 lane road - I would say go for it - but since it's not I would say take the scooter.. Ok Cheri - I hear you on the body issues - naked I look like shit (pardon my french) the arms sag - the boobs look like something you see on national geographics - stomach sags - legs sag - hell even the skin on my calfs sag.. #1 - People don't see you nake - they see you with clothes on - #2 All you need is some good foundation - a good bra for the girls - they are suppose to be between your shoulder and your elbow - right in the middle - then a good pair of spanx's or flexies or whatever brand of shapewear you like. #3 The saggy skin isn't going to kill you but that fat was going too... It's something that pisses me off when pple say they don't want to lose the weight due to the saggy skin issues - Well if your stomach is really bad - and you get rashes etc - that ps would be covered by your healthy insurance medically necessary - So GF next time you go shopping or get out of the shower - look at your body and say - ya - it's not the body of a 22 yr old - but hell I'm not 22 anymore - but damn it sure looks better than it did without all that fat that use to occupy the space where the saggy skin is now.. I sorta think of my saggy skin as my badge of honor for all the weight I have lost... You gotta find the postitive and acknowledge that - and not focus on the negative stuff.. Well, Gang - my little angel woke me up at 4:10 this morning - I get up at 5 - so instead of going back to bed - or sitting watching tv - reading and drinking coffee - I got my butt dressed and hit the gym at 5 a.m. - did 3 miles in 48 minutes incline 4-5 speed 4 to 4.2 - burned 384 calories ...

    I liked Linda's suggestion - long for the wedding short for the reception - IMHO - I think something more bolder for the necklace & earrings- Something big and chunky but classy.. Your green eyeshadow ... Ok I was just getting ready to email you... Don't worry about the weight right now - it's about getting back your health and healing - so just do as the doc/trainer says...

    Yes Dear I am going to yell :wub:- I had insurance but between my program fee and out of pocket cost I most likely paid as much as you did for for your surgery in mexico - The lady needs to get over herself and follow the rules !!!!
