    Oh great Steph make me cry some more lol !!!! Thank you so much - I know it will come off - I know what to do - I have the tools to do it - it's just so scary right now I am going to the gym after work - I am eating healthy today - I will continue to eat healthy and hit the gym a couple extra days/weeks to get the weight off. But it was so depressing this morning ... Nobody's fault but mine as I shoveled those extra sugar treats into my body - that spring that the Doc at my lapband convention 2 yrs ago has sprung - our fat cells shrink but they are still they and sugar/carbs stores right back in to those cells even faster after you have lost the weight.. Thanks for the love - it's needed and I will get thru this with all of your guys love and support..

    Karla - Sounds like you have a busy fun day - Pple here get fireworks from Mexico and shoot them off along w/guns... I hate the guns and my doggies will bark but aren't to afraid. Candice - I need the secert - I am really really bummed this morning - I mean major major bummed - got on the scales 146.5 - and I have beed eating good since Monday - I know I want the xtra weight to come off over night like it has in the past but it's not. I was up 1/2 lbs this morning.. (and I know it's mostly Water as I was super puffy this morning - but that doesn't matter in my brain right now) I am giving it a week then I am calling the doc and getting a fill - it really only needs to be a tweek - but I need something - I hate myself today - I feel like a total failure - a fake - an imposter. I want to cry.. Is this the beginning of the end for me.. Phyl - Yep you got it right - Palm Springs use to be the hub of the Coachella Valley - but that's move more to Palm Desert now a days - The Coachella Valley starts at Palm Springs - Ends in Thermal - 40 miles I would guess - you are about 10 miles north of Palm Springs and I'm 20 miles East of Palm Spring Well I am crying as I am typing this post - I need to get my butt in gear - so I will ck back late gang

    WTG Jessica !!!! Yep w/2 days of liquids you s/b at your 15 lbs goal !!!!! Boredom is a big food trigger for me - but I gotta say I am more hungry when at work - I think it's the stress and lately I have been bored at work too.. I want to munch out of frustrations - but if I have a project that I am enjoying I don't think about food. LauraK - I don't think if my DS moved home we would make it - I love him w/all my heart - but he's lazy at time.. He was suppose to take the Xmas lights down -but never did sorta pissed me off.. Ya I'm at work and need to get busy - but like Deb I'm just not that motivated.. I wish I could retire - but alas I can't so I best get to it - lol.. Tracy - Welcome Congrats on being banded and yep the first few weeks can be hard especially when the swelling goes down and you are hungry and can consume more food. All our doc's have diff instructions - I am lucky I was on full liquids when I got home.. I couldn't get a fill till 8 weeks out and it did take him a few pokes to find the soft spot on my port - but he numbs you first so it was no biggie.. Deb - CONGRATULATIONS ON YOUR 50 LBS !!!! WTG !! I no longer have a gap - had it filled in a couple of months ago - most pple didn't even notice - I am still getting use to it and some words come out funny - I have had that gap since I got my adult teeth.. At 250 I wore flats 99% of the time - now I can wear heals again and my feet don't kill me too much ;0) - Yes being able to shop in the regular dept stores is fun. It take some adjusting to venture in to unknown terrrioty - but it's so much worth it.. Linda - yep it takes a village and this is our village - we are all here for each other - Have fun w/the girls !!! Judy - You didn't lose it all together, it was just hiding for a bit - now you have found it again - and will get back that feeling of control and will feel so much better about you..     Good Morning Gang Happy New Years Eve Steph - my gf has a sinus infection too and the doctor told her to use one and it's helping - I also read about some nose spray that has caynne (sp) pepper in it that suppose to help too. Well today is the last of 2009 - can't beleive how fast the last 10 yrs has flown by - seems like yesterday that we were bringing in 2000. But again that seems like a lifetime ago too.. Food was good yesterday - 1000 calories plus my exercise Well it's 5:30 gotta hit the shower - hopefully today will be a short day - but doubt it - the boss (we have 4) that usually lets us off early isn't at work today

    Good Morning Gang.. Thanks Cheri - My band is a great tool - but gotta say I did 75% of the work by changing my eating and exercise habits and my band did the other 25%. Well food was good yesterday 1000 calories and did my exercise.. We are scheduled to work all day - but hopefully we will get off around 3 - but the boss (we have 4) who usually lets us off early isn't at work today - so who knows.. Happy New Years Eve - Looking forward to 2010 Got some sad news yesterday - my BIL baby sister got hit by a big rig on her way to work yesterday morning and died.. My one bro died in 99 then his (bil) son died 00 - my other bro died 08 his sis dies 09 - weird coincident isn't that.. Well off to the shower - CBL

    I only do box cake ;0) Well I had dinner - off for some popcorn then bed - 5 a.m. comes fast I think my new yrs plan is going to be to get back on my wii in the morning before work - hell 1/2 hr 4 days a week will help some :0)

    Judy I'm a 4 now with a couple of 2 ;0) And have been afraid of getting cocky too - that fear had kept me from going there.. I have been there done that in the past I am always obessing about gaining the weight back - especially over the holidays - I have been freaking out.. I did gain 3 lbs - but am back to logging food - over the holiday sweets - no more junk.... I worked to freaking hard and I don't want to go back.. I am pretty sure we have enough room for you to have your own room - 3 in a condo and we have 8 going so far - and like apples said - they all have sleepers in the living room.. So please plan on it - we would love to have you and it would be another accountablity factor for you too.. Like Apples said - we have no plans - there is an outlet close buy - may do a tad shopping - but mostly hanging out - getting to know each other in person - (Well Eva & I have met she came for a visit before thanksgiving) You just need to get back to the basics - low fat - limited carbs/sugar - exercise - protein 1st - veggies then carbs.. I just finished dinner - 3 oz fish 1/4 c rice & 1 cup zuchinne and I am full - but I still want to eat. I don't have adhd like Cheri (well not that I know of lol) so I can count calories and do and as you already know = you can be so tight not to eat real food but be able to eat all the the sliders you want - we can't make our bands tight enough to stop those - if they did - hell none of us would have any problem, Make a menu - (attaching one for you & Leah) - plan plan plan and move move move and come hang with us.. Tiny bites - chew well - no drinking with meals or for at least 1/2 hr afterwards. Hunger right now on liquids - heck I would try some sf pudding - sf jello - sf yogurt (dannon lite & fit) of sf fudgesicle

    Ok Old age here - but I am pretty sure I met Judy (jb) on the 50's thread - in like 08 after I had been banded for a while.. Judy - you have made the 1st step and that's coming back to lbt I haven't left since 5/14/07 and the biggest reason is the accountability factor - It's one of the reasons I started this thread (I rarely post on the 50 thread anymore) - Cause I can't just talk the talk without walking the walk - it keeps me honest... I am so glad you are back - you know what you need to to and and that's getting back to eating healthy and an exercise routine.. And as you know I a firm believer in keeping a food diary - I am doing it now cuz I gained a few over the holidays myself. Really hope you can make it in Feb to our get together - that would be so cool.... Leah - #1 rule - take the word HOPE out of your vocabulary and replace it with I WILL - If you think you can't you won't - it you think you can you will - I am a firm believer in positive affirmations!!! WTG on not eating the cookies !!! It really does feel good to have power over food - You have all the reason in the world to feel proud of yourself !!! WTG Linda - I have heard from 2 pple that "It's Complicated" is a GREAT FUNNY movie.. Apples - Isn't it great when the kids want to hang with you.. I love it too... Starbucks - Skinny Latte with sf hazelnut and 2 or 3 extra shots of expresso - we drink the same coffee - I like the lite mocha frappininco w/no whip cream - a tall (small) is like 90 calories Phyl likes hot coffees and I like both hot and cold.. Great - OMW I haven't had a nightie on in YEARS... But again I haven't had a man in year lol - so I don't have any cute stuff - use to even heavy - but those days are long gone ;0).. Food today has been good - Steel cut oats for bf - lunch veggies & fish - pre work out snack 2 rye crisp w/1 tsp peanut butter - dinner will be fish rice and veggies (I skipped rice last night - but need it tonite as I am hungry) Gym 1 hr weight training arms - and ladies if you want to work your butt - do lunges - omw my butt and back of legs are killing me (good kind of pain) from my work out Monday.. Tomorrow is usually a day off from the gym - but will be adding Thrusday as and extra cardio day - Deb - I feel the same way about work anymore as you do - I am just not that motivated most days - tomorrow I have to be for YE stuff = billings etc.. Ok gotta go ck my veggies - I think dinner is calling me - oh ya drank 2 bottles of water - have 1 to go before bed.. CBL

    Ya she was standing on the corner w/her bike on the way to work and a big rig was turning the corner - back end ran her over dragging her a 1/4 of a mile.. When my Bro died in 99 then his son died in 00 then bro dies in 08 his sis dies in 09 weird huh??? I have that elect cig - it didn't charge well and didn't really like the taste of it - I got menthol but it didn't taste like menthol - maybe we I get ready to quit again (one of these days not right now) I will pull it out .. Too funny about the pancake mix lol Yep Karla - You might not be in the perfect place where you want to be right now in your life - but it could be a whole lot worse.. I remember when Joseph was a teenager - I would have get him to the point of crying to break down that wall - Andrew too...     Jessica - I was back to work Monday day 6 after surgery (desk job)- I had surgery on Tues 7/17 - Friday had company was washing down the back patio - cooking - washed clothes - just can't pickup heavy stuff. I never took any pain meds once I was home from the hospital not even tylenol (I had to spend the night though so I had pain shots up until 1 pm. on the 18th) and that was due to the gas pain - I had terrible gas in the shoulder - be sure to have gas x strips.. Apples - you crack me up girl - Bouncing Baby Bolder - LMAO - you have such a great sense of humor even in pain :0)..

    Phyl - Hugs on your Earl issues - he's going to be a bear cuz like you said he will start starving himself and be grouchy... Ya gotta get back to healthy eating - least you did better than me - 2.4 my scale 3 lbs - but remember alot of that is water weight too cuz carbs make you hold on to the water.. I'm eating my steel cut oats right now - I like them .. Yep no excuses for the gym/pool for the next month - gotta get those scales moving for all of us...

    Good Morning Gang.. Drive by post - gotta hit the showers.. Food Yesterday BF - 4 oz prime rib - Lunch Popcorn - Dinner Fish Cauliflower Snack - 1/4 c cashews - 2 sf dark choc puddings. Exercise 3.5 mile 500 calories burned. Today - BF - Steel Cut Oatmeal - Lunch Fish/Cauliflower Dinner - Fish/Rice/Veggies Snack - taking a pear to work. Exercise - Weights tonite (arms) That's the plan for today... Well gotta hit the shower - Work

    Witch - Sorry for your struggles - Hugs ... What did you expect that the band would do... For some it takes a while for restriction - but first and foremost it's not the magic cure all for our issues w/food - it doesn't make our food choice for us. It's only a tool. Come tell us what's up - we will try and give you the support you need to be successful. Leah - Has your DH gone to any seminars with you - That helps sometimes - they understand what the band is all about. You will find that most of us really do feel that food journaling is key - you won't have to do it forever - but its a good learning tool. I kept a food diary for the 1st year - til I got to goal - then I quit - but I do keep a mental note of what I eat. The only thing you will have do to forever is eat healthy and exercise - We aren't dieting we are eating healthy that's it - we eat lower fat - limited carbs/sugar and we exercise. Good Morning Gang - just a quick ck in before I hit the shower to get ready for work this morning.. Apples & Eva hope you both got some sleep/releif from your pain last night.. Charlene hope the tummy issues are better Julie - Hope the shoulder isn't causing you too much trouble. Well clock hit 5:30 time to jump in the shower.. CBL

    Leah - the more the merrier - of course you are welcome to join our thread - We all are here to help you.. I was the same as you 5'3 250 but I was 52 when banded - heck gf if this old broad can do it so can you.. You just got to get your head into it - We were all scared to begin with this is something new and unknown - will we fail at this like so many other times. Best advice I can give you is that the band is only a tool - this really is about making a lifetime lifestyle change in your eating and exercise.. You gotta make the commitment to be healthy. Well, sweetie - I just got on the computer to turn it off - so I am closing for now - got work tomorrow and this old lady needs here rest.. But really I'm not old - I have 100% more energy than I did at 2.5 yrs ago - hell I have more energy than my DS who's 38 and my DIL who's 32 ;0) just pulling your leg on the old issue lol... But do need my beauty sleep... Will chat with you all tomorrow... Hugs & Love and Leah come back would love to get to know you... Hell that just reminded me where is Meredith (she's a young one like you Leah)

    Yep I am sending sonic waves your way Apples... My Mom was from Texas and that why they say I like my veggies well done - don't ask me where that came from I guess most southern pple like well done veggies - I like raw cauliflower w/ranch dressing - but again that dressing ruins (cal wise) the whole thing of eating veggies - just like a salad drenched in dressing - just as many calories as a big mac.. Don't care that much for raw broc.. Eva hope the hanging upside down helps - do you go to chiropractors - I know you have back issues - but can they help you ? Well I skipped the rice tonite - am full but still want to eat - this is why I don't think I need a fill even though I eat more food than the most of you - I don't care how tight I am I still want to eat.. For me I have to be full mentally just as much as physically - so I don't think being tighter for me would help.. Well I think I am signing off - even with the nap - I am ready for bed - bored more than anything I think ;0) nothing on tv - I think I need new stronger glasses - I am trying to read my O magizine and hell the print is just so small.. Till tomorrow gang - hope Apples & Eva get some rest and releif from their pain - Hugs...

    Great - Ya I know all those carbs make you retain - infact this morning when I woke up my eyes were really puffy - - Like you said - I'm not too worried - I do know that one my body gets back into it's groove it will be ok.. I may be skipping the rice tonite though and eat extra cauliflower - GS says it's stinking up the house :0) - I think it smells good myself.. It's so funny about that tasting -- I know when I go to Costco - that the sampling there now is my lunch :0)... Hope the next one is better than this ck dish - What's the date??? Work tomorrow uhg:frown: Well I should be happy I have a job.. but still 2 days then will be off early I hope on Thursday. We are scheduled to work all day - but most likely will get off at 3ish I am hoping.. I should have done so much today - I had planed to - but didn't work out that way - I needed the down time after all the family here for 6 days.. I love everyones sauerkraut - I didn't like it as a kid - but like it now - and it's good for you ;0).. Veggies..

    OMG Candice - is that the work you had done in Mx?? Send Peter to the store to get some fixodent (denture stuff) and put it back on - it will hold it a little bit - I have gf who used super glue to put her's back on Ya I could imagine how hard it is to type w/doggie in lap - Angel is smaller and every now and then she's in my lap but it's to hard so on the floor she goes.. Phyl should be getting home by now - I didn't tell her - but it's cold here - low/mid 60's during the day... Well I didn't do crap today - 2 loads of towels and that's it - oh ya took a nap.. I did make the mistake of getting on the scales - up 3 freaking lbs.. Well that's what I get for eating all those sweets it's a good thing I didn't make xmas cookies last night.. Well back to the gym and eating healthy they will come off - am thinking about a fill again but again I don't think I really need one - who knows maybe a brain fill of .1 would help.. Well need to go see what I can throw together for lunch tomorrow - back to work for 2 days then off for a 3 day weekend - I won't have another furlough day til 1/15 then 1/29 -

    Yep Linda it's a lifetime battle - but thankfully we aren't exposed to treats all year long - it was the cookie - candy that did me in - I didn't over eat food - I ate too many sweets - I should not have gotten on that darn scale.. I should have given my body a couple more days of healthy eating - I know they will come off quickly but - it does do something to the brain..

    Nawlinz I snap peas & broc can cause me problems sometimes - Looks like I eat larger serving sizes than Great - my dinner is usually 1.75 of a cup - maybe I do need a fill :0) I eat a lot of zucchini and yellow crooked neck squash, spinach cauliflower - green beans - asparagus - butternut squash - I cook all my veggies well done - alway have even prior to being banded - have corn and carrots every now and then - again very well done - I boil them and spray with I can't beleive it's not butter.. Well took a shower - then read a little bit and then about an hour or so nap.. I didn't accomplish anything except 2 loads of towels and washed one sweater.. Apples - sounds like you may have a sucky NYE - Hugs Hugs Hugs hope they hurry up and pass.. Gosh they really sound terrible - Hugs Hugs Hugs.. Well I got on the scale right before my shower - not good at all - so Linda stay off - I wish I hadn't gotten on - up 3 lbs - and it's all due to the sweets - That's what I over indulged on Well they are all gone - I am back to eating healthy and am going to have to work extra hard at the gym..

    Doesn't it feel good to get back to healthy eating - funny how we miss it and look forward to getting back to it.. WTG on the gym - hell no one talks to me at the gym - not many our age at mine - and both Idrise & Vickey say I am not approachable.. I said the other day - no guys look at me at the gym and vickey said yes they do - but I haven't ever noticed - I don't smile enough I guess.. Who knows - but since I ain't looking no biggie and when I go to the gym I go to work out - When I go in the mornings I have a fresh washed face and that's it... I don't look too cute :0)... Did you go see the Torch - Peter posted pic on FB how cool I would have went to see it pass thru.. I have my official Canada Olympic outfit that I got last summer to wear when I watch this winter (remember)... Yep you should maybe do 10 min treadmill to warm up then go to leg weights one day - then next day arms - then 1 day just cardio then back to legs - do lunges - if you want your butt to hurt - we did they yesterday and my butt is sore today ;0)
