Full Liquids - Cream of Bean Soup Make a pot of Beans (navy, split pea, pinto - whatever kind your like) season them as you normally would.. When the beans are done scoop out with slotted spoon and put in a blender w/a little of the bean broth - puree - then add back to the bean broth - wahla - cream of bean soup. I found that homemade food - tasted so much better than the canned stuff and more satisfing and you control the ingredents..

IMHO you are dieting - you aren't learning to prepare your own food - you aren't changing your lifestyle - you are eating their food - which is conveniently protioned for you - but once you are done and go back to eating real food what's going to happen. You are eating food that's full of chemicals - freezed dryed .. The 2 lbs you lost was Water weight from not eating the carbs.. IMHO you need to learn to eat real food - you need to learn how to weigh measure to understand what a correct portion size is - you need to know calories in the foods you eat - you need to eat low fat - limited starches and sugars - you need to learn to eat healthy. Nutrisystem - does it all for you - what are you going to eat on those 2 days of free foods. If it gets you back on track go for it - but I don't think it's a good idea in the long run - cuz you are going to do this for a while and then go back to your normal eating -- and we all know what happends then.. Been there done that.. You need to learn how to eat healthy as we all know our band doesn't make our food choices and eating healthy - planing your meals take works on your part.. I can't live of frozen - freezed dried - processed foods - I want really home cooked foods w/o all the chemicals Wishing you the best

Good Morning Gang Apples great idea - see if I find time to do it :0) Eva - I will ck out the site - I like beans - been eating black eyed peas all week for lunch.. Laura - I watch alot of HGTV they are always talking about attics & basements - here in the desert we have neither - my new house has a bit more space in the attic you can get up there and walk - but we don't have pull down latters it's just a place they keep heater - you gotta get a ladder and lift yourself up there.. Deb - I have a cube now - use to have an office - hell a few months ago - i was farming on fb all day :0) - my screen was situated that you couldn't see it when you walked in my office - but now - it's facing the cube opening - so I have to be quick to switch screen when I here someone coming - doesn't always happen :0). Good Morning Peeps.... Karri call your doc and get some real sleeping pills - Well aren't you only working 1/2 days this week - But I know how it is when you can't sleep and being tired is a big food trigger for all of us.. Hugs on the dentist... Karla - I was hugs - I knew that the Master thingie was going to be a bit tough on you - no time for you.. I know my bil and a gf who gets stuff off ebay but it's usually cuz it's so cheap.. How much would you sell the rug for. Do they have street fairs/swap meets where you live or craft fairs - I think a craft fair would be the best place to sell your stuff.. Phyl - How are you feeling this a.m. - What's on your schedule today?? Denise - Girl you got one fine DH and you aint bad looking either -love your new avatar on FB.. My DS had the same thing happen on their atm card - in FL $100 at a subway - they didn't have any problems getting it reversed and a girl on my mentor thread had it happen too but it was a burlington coat factory in San Fran.. Today - Wii but only about 20 minutes wasn't feeling it today and the stupid hoola hoop thing kept failing and I was swinging my hips - Have gym tonite.. I am tired this a.m. - but at least I won't be here by myself today - both the other pple who work on my team will be here - boss isn't due back til tomorrow.. Well thats about it - Anyone watch the biggest loser last night - They must get paid to be on there... I am going to ck it out and enter my DS & DIL and DGD brooke - -
It's a soup Cheri - once you add the beans back to the both - it's cream of bean soup - I think I told Great about it when she was 1st banded - she made Navy Bean - She lived on it while I liquids - I found that home made foods tasted so much better than canned' soups - A lady in the 50 thread told me this before I got banded - I had homemade broth ready when I got home - but I was lucky I was on full liquids - but the home made beat canned any day.. I love one pot wonders - I think I will have to try this :0) Sleep tight ;0) --- Oh ya - a long time ago I said something about snow birds - forgetting that Phyl was one - but to me she isn't - she's truly a natural born desert rat :0) ...

OMW - We have been busy today haven't we !!!! I got on to post this a.m. but the phone starting ringing - well you know how it goes.. JB - Hugs on your baby - don't know if you remember but I have a little poodle too ;0) Linda - that's right 1/29 and you have already lost 100 lbs with only 13 to go - WTG GIRL !!! Charlene - I need to quit watching QVC too lol - I just ordered a click it last night (back up for computer). Congrats on Gbaby!!! Yep you can't let DH weight less than you... My Xdh weighted like 218 and I weight 220 - 230 I always hated that and when I got below 200 I remember thinking now I weight less than him _ I have been backing doing my Wii cuz alot of pple at work got it for Xmas and talking about it - so I have been getting up early this week and doing 1/2 hr before work - and did some over the weekend to - So GF pull it out and get on it - Glad your meds are working Jessica - Glad you are doing well - Can you have cream Soups ?? If I missed someone it wasn't on purpose - there were too many pages to quote :0)... food good today - did my cardio - 3.5 miles 506 calories and dinner should be done in a few - blacken cat fish (baked) butternut squash instead of rice - and spinach.... and I am starving.. Hey Gang... Back from the gym - I almost quit at 2 mile... I was pooped and sweating like a pig - but nope - I didn't give up - did 3.5 burn 506.. I was going to go for 3 and burn 400 - but said what the hell - do the other .5 and burn an extra 100 - so today's total 606 cal burn.. Food has been good - I am hungry - but dinner is started butternut squash (instead of rice) spinach & fish.. Steph - I am glad you had a good time w/Michael - it's funny my DS hated being and only child - where GS who has 2 sis from his dad and 1 sis and 3 bro's from his mom - loves being the only child (mine) - It sounds like Michael does better with one on one instead of the whole crowd.. Of course we want to hear how you weekend went.. We love you and glad you are back posting... Loved the pic's had to go check them out before I posted. Karri - how did the doc go - I saw on FB you are pooped so you most likely aren't posting tonite - Rest... Phyl - if you are sick you need to stay home - do you know you are spreading your sick germs and it's going to be your fault when others get sick lol... But really take it easy.. I saw on FB the fishing pole story - that was too freaking funny.. You should have taken a pic.. Candice - Dogs - Bear is great but my little angel likes to leave me presents every few weeks.. That's why cats are so much easier - just give them a box.. This too shall pass.. WTG on the gym - so Peter went too - he didn't work out he was just going to wait for you - Love the shower/play thing that was too funny. That's one reason I really don't have a workout buddy when I go I go and don't want any interference in my program.. Karla - Hugs GF skip the medical bill payments cuz you gotta eat and sew.. Good Morning Gang.. Phyl - glad he dropped the gf - and 1/19 is around the corner.. Hope you are feeling better this a.m. Hugs - I hate being sick Steph - Glad you are home safe... Can't wait to here how Michael is doing.. As far as Jeff - I agree sleeve would be better for a guy and you don't have all the fill issues - but again it's not reversiable like the band - but if I lost mine - and couldn't get it back I would do the sleeve - alot of banders have converted - Have you read the Sleeve thread - or webite - they have their own now.. Karri - LOL Karla doesn't know you like us :0) you being quite relaxing laying on the couch for more than 24 hours is a streach.. Glad you are going back to the doc - dosen't sound like it's all that bad - crap happens.. How was the gym last nite - what did you do.. I know what you mean about hating when you have eaten and it doesn't feel that way - I am not tight in the a.m. and I gotta say I am hungry right now.. But if I eat now hell by 10 I will be STARVING - so I will drink coffee and hope it goes away (hunger) for another hour or so.. Karla - You can do it girl (eat healthy) you just got make a plan and stick to it.. Peaches - Are you covered in snow - I saw on the news this morning clouds up your way - looked like snow to me.. More quilting today?? Since you can't hit the gym I want you to pull out your Wii and move - OK - on the days that you can't go to the gym do an hour on your Wii have you got the wii fit plus game ?? Total calories yesterday approx 1180 give or take 100 :0) Did 30 mintues wii this a.m. love the bike and skate board - wii age was 42 :0) Hell better than 70 6 days ago... Today's Food Plan BF - 80 Cal Yogurt w/banana & granola = 180 Cal Snack - 100 Cal Popcorn Lunch - Black Eyed Peas - Collard Greens = 230 Cal Dinner - Fish/Butternut Squash = 300 Cal That leaves me 270 for snacks ;0) tonite Gym - 30 min wii this a.m. - 1 hr treadmill tonite.. Well that's good he's not sleeping under a bridge and that you called the boss.. When does the job start - soon I hope.. I know you are releived to know he has a roof over his head and food.. I had a gf who's son was living under a bridge - drugs and he cause so much ruckus at their house they had to kick him out - really had him arrested and then didn't let him back in. -

Today I ate healthy 830 cal so far - have 300 for snacks/jucie this evening .. Did Wii for 30 min this morning then 1 hr weights tonite at the gym So far 4 days into the new year - eating healthy and exercising !!! Can't wait to get on the scales thrusday :0)

Meredith - I got my ticket on priceline - $420 I think it was.. round trip from Palm Springs - could have gotten it cheaper if I left out of Ontairo but that's 1.5 drive - I rather pay the extra 40-50 buck and only have to drive 20 miles to the airport.. Julie - is DD doing drugs if she looked bad - it's her lost - but that was rude of her to cancel like that - next yr don't even bother... It's her not you... She's not worth wasting your time worrying about... You got you DD & Mimi - you don't need them.. Eva - you did well when you were here - in fact I was shocked that you got up as early as you did ;0)... I gotta say the dogs wake me up - but once I'm up I am up - I could sleep later some times - but getting up early on the weekends makes it possible to take a nap in the afternoon..

Trisha - You can do it (lose your weight in a yr) I lost 105 lbs in a year and I'm an old broad ;0) All I did was eat healthy (didn't diet) and exercise - I didn't keep my band so tight that I couldn't eat - did get a fill 1/08 and a week later had all but .1 of that taken out Just that small about .1 (really a brain fill) did it for me - I could most likely use another brain fill but I NEVER want to be too tight again - once was enough for me.. So right now I just eat healthy and make sure I get my exercise in and I have been able to maintain for the 1.5 yrs now.. It's not easy - I still want to eat unhealthy foods I still crave unhealthy foods - I still want to eat when physically full - This is a process - it's not easy - it take alot of looking inside yourself.. Cuz IMHO most of our problems lie in our brains not our stomachs - Food is my drug of choice - it's one day at a time :0) And you may be able to eat bread again - I can have a grilled cheese every now and then - I eat pretty balanced - I still have starches/carbs but not like I use to and I have cut my fat intake 3/4 - and sugar too.. I have always liked veggies but didn't eat them often - now I eat them Lunch & Dinner.. It's all about finding what works for you - what's livable - cuz this is the way we have to eat for the rest of our lives - We can never go back to eating like we did before.. It's not that one slice of cake that made us fat - it's cuz we ate 2-3-4 if not the whole darn thing :0) -

Phyl - Glad you are feeling better !!! Nora Roberts is good I have read most of her books - Blue Smoke was good - It's a movie on lifetime - lifetime has lots of her books made into tv movies - I LOVED the trilogy about 3 sister that were witches (good ones)- 3 Sister trilogy - I loved it - Really Really enjoy that trilogy - http://www.noraroberts.com/books/trilogies.html I also loved Carolina Moon - I have read so many I have to read the bio to see what it's about - I lose track and hate when I buy a book I have already read - She also writes under the name JD Robb but those are sifi books and I don't like si-fi That's an idea - go to the library to down load books - can you listen to them 1st - I might do that sometime... I think I can download to my ipod.. That's the reason on got back on my Wii - alot of pple got them for Xmas - and all the talk made me want to get back on it... It is fun - Not super exercise - it takes a long time on the wii to burn 200 cal like an hour - whereas I can burn 500 on the treadmill - but hell 200 x 4 is 800 more than sitting on my butt :0) WTG girl - only eating planned food and I talk to my bosses that way too ;0)... How's the swelling ?? Take it easy at the gym.. I am starving right now too - not really too tired but am hungry - I am adding spinach to my dinner menu - but to me veggies are free foods.. Hugs Denise - I saw on FB you werent feeling good - Happy 26 anniversary !!! How have you been otherwise - How's life - How's the kids. Did you have a good Christmas - How's your Mom?? Karla - I think I loved Montana Sky too - was that the one where 3 sis re-connected - I remember the house - I loved that book too - made me want to move to Montana and live in that house and of course the hunk to go along w/the house ;0) WTG Candice - You do better at home than at work !!!! Well back from the gym - got the few dishes put up - Andrew pissing me off just threw my clothes on the bed now they are all wrinkled.. My most fav book in life was Celeste DeBlase (she's dead now) she wrote a trilogy Swan Chance - Wild Swan - Season of Swan - they are romatic stories - Family saga - Oh I think I should order them and re-read them.. Candice Yep some of us work lol - even me who am on lbt too much during working hours - some days I have to work and not surf the net ;0l lol.. Phyl had a red hat lunch today - I saw on FB - so I guess she's feeling better.. Karla Darhma (sp) like in Lost or Darmah and Greg lol... I think I would do well w/o sun - but I don't know my DIL who is like me (grew up w/it 24/7) says she misses it - I know my DS loves the rain - it's something we don't get much of.. Well, I am off to the gym - legs tonite - haven't had prework out snack - so have 100 cal to spend tonite :0)... CBL -

Teryn - Everyone is different as to when they get restriction and how much it takes.. It's some thing I never understood when I joined 3 yrs ago - why was everying asking and telling how many cc's where in their band - so I posed the question to an experienced bander and they said it doesn't make a diff - that they didn't know why so many pple concern themsleves with # of cc's. There are pple here who six months out - haven't had a fill - just the band it's self provided enough retriction as it. I have another Lucky #7 who has like 1 or 2 cc's in her band and she's at her sweet stop. So the number really doesn't matter - all that matters is that you get restriction ie/sweet spot - it could be at 3.5 or 6.1 And no matter how tight we are - it's doesn't change our emotional eating issues. That's still gong to be there.. This truly is a lifetime challenge for us who have used food to soothe - and comfort us.. I know after my Bro Passed last yr - I wanted comfort - I turned to food - the band kept me from eating too much healthy food - but it didn't do a darn thing for the unhealthy stuff - lucky for me - it was just a couple of pieces of halloween candy - before I came to my senses and threw the crap away.. When you are feeling lonely - come get on lbt - call your kids or a gf - go for a walk.. My DS lives 7 hrs away - so I hear you on missing them - I am missing the 5 yr the most - Love the 15 yr old but you know how teenager girls are ;0) lol.. -
Apples lovely wedding photos - and your babies boys are so cute - I bet they grew up to be handsome young men.. All my photos from back in the day are glued in my DS baby book.. Deb - My 8th grade science teacher was a rock hound - I learned all about geodo - rose quatriz - and other stuff - but forgot most of it by now - no use for it in the Ins business ;0) I like the pose and you reading a book on rocks :0).. Great - GF - I don't need clothes either - heck yesterday I bought another top and yoga pants (target was having sale $15 but found them at marshalls for $12) I don't need anymore work out clothes - Heck bought a top a chico's on Saturday - didn't need that either - but am going to wear it to my Lionel Richie Concert on the 1/15 ;0)

Jessica!!!! So glad you are home and feeling so good - the pain in your clavical is gas - that's where mine was - bad - do you have gas x strips - take them and walk - you will be ok.. My doc glued me together - I was able to shower the next day too.. Lucy you getting to food quickly :0) that's great... Just follow your doc's instructions and you will do just fine.. Welcome to Bandland - the bandwagon ;o)

LOL on the gas - I would say I have the same amount - my black eyed peas &/or greens gave me gas the other day and I am having it for lunch today -lucky I am all by myself today :0) LOL I eat meat/fish for BF somedays - I don't always eat BF food.. Today's Menu BF - Dannon Lite & Fit Toasted Coconut Vanilla Yogurt with 1/2 banana and 4 teaspoons granola - 180 cal 1.5 cup coffee and 2 bottles of water Lunch - 1.5 cup black eyed peas - 1/2 c collard greens... 230 cal - another bottle of water after lunch Dinner - My Scallop Dinner from last night 320 Cal More water after dinner Snacks - Pre Workout snack 100 Cal - Popcorn 100 Cal Fruit - Yogurt - SF Angel Food Cake 200 cal - 100 Cal for juice 16 oz of lite crangrape that I drinke before bed So Planed cal for the day - 1230 Did 30 min Wii this a.m. - have gym weight training tonite and maybe another 30 of wii - I love the biking and skate board :0) I keep the frozen scallops/shrimp on hand for when I haven't taken anything out for dinner - throw them in some water and they are defrosed in no time - I ususally add them to a lean cuizine alfreado - YUMMY... OMW this is a 1st !!!!! I can't beleive so many early riser/posters this Morning :blushing: I got up at 4:45 this morn (usual time is 5) and did 30 min on my Wii. Will be doing this a couple times a week... I have been an early riser since I got my GS back f/t 8 yrs ago - He had to be to school at 7:15 so I started getting up at 5 to have my coffee wake up - iron clothes make bf etc and have him at school by 7:15 - I hate rushing and at that time we only had 1 shower so I had to take mine 1st. I like being an ealry riser now a days - I use to be a late night person.. Ya Eva - I would like to go to the show anyone else?? Love the lightening shot !!! You could sell that one Excellent.. Get up early and do your rebounder when you get it !!! will get you motivated for your day get your blood moving.. Ya sometimes we all need to refocus - the lapband site has a lot of good info .. Deb - Sometime on the Weekend I would love to be able to sleep in - but my fur babies sleep w/me and the little one (poodle) can't jump off the bed and she wakes me up around 5 even on weekends (due to our normal weekday schedule) to take her potty - and it's good for me cuz then I have my coffee and hit the gym on Sat morning and then have the whole day to get stuff done - but on Sundays I would like to be able to sleep in til 8 - sometimes I get to sleep to 7:30 Had my own office til we had to down size - but I didn't have curtains lol - I do Insurance like Apples use to - I don't own the agency (but am a licensed insurance agent)- don't want to work that hard - but I am a Senior Acct Manger - I handle large Commercial Lines accounts - Contractors - Country Club - etc. I have been been working insurance since I was 19 - I am sorta bored w/it - I wanted to retire by 55 (will be that this month) doesn't look like it's happening - hopefully the real estate market comes back soon and I can sell a ranch and retire. But I can see why Apples gets lonely even though she is so active - it (work) is my interaction w/pple - I don't know what it would be like to be home - I didn't work once for 6 months (that's when the weight issues started) and I remember by the time my bf got home from work - I was full of energy and wanted to do stuff - he would say whoa I'm tired I have worked all day.. Hell, you can only do so much shopping - and gym only takes up an hour or so of your day - cleaning doesn't require alot of time - I think I would go back to school for fun... Judy - yep cleaning your own house will help burn some calories - I have a gf who has a house keeper every 2 weeks to do the heavy stuff - you know what - since she's had her she's gain weight - it's all about moving. I had a housekeeper once - and my house was a whole 1000 sq ft - she broke my microwave - one day picked up a rug - crap was under it - so let her go.. Now I have GS who does the surface cleaning and I have to do the deep cleaning.. But he usually doesn't do my bedroom or bathroom.. Great - Drive careful and have a nice lunch w/GM - After the show on Saturday - we strolled El Paseo (Rodeo Dr of the Desert) I got a top at Chico's but it wasn't on sale :thumbup: but really cute - they didn't have anything good on sale - GF got a sweater at Coldwater Creek and we never walked down far enought to hit the Ann Taylor Loft store.. Laura - WTG on the exercise - slow and steady wins the race and you don't want to hurt yourself.. When I went Saturday morning normal amount of pple - will see what my other gym is like tonite when I go for weight training - I belong to 2 gyms - 24hr fitness which is 2 blks from my house for my cardio and then World Gym for my weight trainer thats about 5 miles from my house.. My old gym closed it was 1 blk from my house - trainer moved to world gym Ok phone is ringng off the hook - I will finsh later

Candice I really would ck it out - IMHO the closer you are to home the better - that's one reason I haven't done the arms - I love the doc I saw but hell 3 hr drive when you are in pain is far away - and then the follow up appts would be a whole day off work - My Uncle is retired - he said he would drive me.. Well we will see - I think I will do face first - gotta wait and see when I am going to get $$$ from Aunt's estate - I may just do the face this coming fall. Good Morning Gang Phyl - Hope you are feeling better this morning... Candice - I am not sure on Dr Chilsom prices $8 or $9 k I think - he only does faces - a specialty kind of doc which I perfer - that's all he does so he has perfected his art. Karla - gf ya how would you be my nurse when you would be out exploring the rain forest lol :blushing: Like that rug - sorry but I don't have wool - not much need for it here in the Desert :0) - doesn't get that cold :0) Hobbies are good - keeping hand busy is great - too bad my hobby is reading - i love to eat and read - now it's popcorn instead of candy.. Last night started Tami Hoag new book - it's good.. I made a FABOULAS dinner - sprayed pan with a little butter pam - sauted cut up scallops with some garlic till almost done - then added 2 tblespn can't beleive its not butter - add cooked shrimp and heated - added 1 oz of habenero cheese stirred till melted put it over 1/2 c rice - OMW to die for.. It was enough for 2 nights - I immediately put the other half up cuz I would have eaten it all.. Got up this morning did 30 min on my Wii - Love the skate boarding game & bicycling on the Wii Fit Plus.. I looked for a platform for the board that you use when doing the step exercise - they were selling it on QVC this weekend - but it was bundled with the whole balance board etc which I already have.. Well that's about it - nothing exciting - I am the only team member of my team here at work today - hopefully the phones will be quite.. CBL
