Anita..I am having an insurance nightmare.. I was approved for surgery on 1-4.. but they wont schedule me until my dr visit I had on 12-20 is paid for...but the dr office put in the wrong code for payment...so I am waiting... *sigh*

Yes...insurance didn't pay for my initial appointment yet..they said once they get that they will schedule... I am starting to have second thoughts... waiting too long

Awesome... I don't have a date yet ..still waiting..got my approval on 1-4 ...but Dr Caruana has not received payment for my initial visit so when they get that..I get my date...how long did u have to wait to schedule once u were approved??

No..they won't let me..lol..I tried.

I just have to vent here...so frustrated.. I got my insurance approval on 1/4...so I call my surgeons office and the scheduling nurse says as soon as they receive payment from my Dr.appt they will schedule me...waiting... waiting... nothing... so I call yesterday to see what the heck is going on..they have to re- submit because insurance denied payment...grrrrrr...I have NO patience I just want this over with.. I am that person who will change my mind and talk myself out of this if something goes wrong...I am convinced this is a sign to not have surgery... OMG!!! I know I am a freak...lol..just aggravated.. thanks for letting me vent . Hope I am still gonna be a February sleever at this point...

Has anyone used the ready made clear version for post op clear liquids?? I am starting to play around with flavors of these..I would think it would be ok..40 grams of protein in one bottle plus you get 20 liquid.. lol just wanted to know ..still waiting for insurance approval..

Thanks for all the suggestions.. I tried the apple melon so far.. yuck...toooo sweet like a jolly rancher...lol..I will try more flavors.

I will also be going to Sisters Hospital.. just waiting for my date..

I have not gotten a date yet..lol..not sure if my info was submitted yet because of the holidays.. so I am hoping to be sleeved in February or early March..good luck to you and keep me posted on your progress..

Hi to everyone reading..I just wanted to say that I have researched for 2 years and after 15 years of failed attempts to losing and maintaining weight, I have decided to have vsg surgery. I just started and I know its a long road ahead..so any tips or suggestions are welcomed.. thanks have a great day..

I am wondering this because I will have my surgery in feb and wanted to lose as much as possible before then...I also have alot of addictions to break as well...just wanted to hear of anyone who went more than 2 weeks...if so any tips or tricks to get through it??? thanks

I love all things you all said... ..my list would take an hour to type..but I will say this.. the #1 thing I will do after surgery is live...I spent over 20 years not living thats all I care about...I dont care that my arms will be flabby or my butt will be flat! I just want to live my life to the fullest with a smile on my face and not have to worry that I am slowly killing myself because of food... hope you all have a wonderful holiday season..

Thanks for the responses...I am considering liquid pre op diet starting right after xmas and ending after surgery when I go clear...lol

No..I just took my first one yesterday.. then I go back on the 10th and 17th..I see the Dr on 12-20

Thats awesome... how long did it take u to get a surgery date?? I will be done with all my required workshops and evaluations by Dec 20th ..then that's the day I see the surgeon for the first time...I am hoping to go by end if February.. but not sure how long it takes to get a surgery date

Good luck to you...I meet with my surgeon December 20th..in the mean time I have to go to some workshops.. get a psyc eval and see a nutritionist...lol..lots to do..hope to be able to have surgery by March or so...too much time for me to think and I will change my mind... jk..Please PM me and let me know how everything goes with your surgery.

Awesome..what is the pre op diet?? I haven't even seen the doc yet...lol..just turned in all my paperwork and insurance info and waiting for them to schedule me..my primary gave me a referral and I have psy eval set up but I would love to start the diet now..the more I can lose before surgery.. the better..I greatly appreciate your help
