I tried the Lemon Ricotta. It's good even though I forgot to ad the vanilla extract. I put it in 4 oz. containers. I'm going to put a drop or two of vanilla extract in each one. I think I'll try the buffalo chicken recipe today. I have about 2 and a half weeks left on pureed foods and then it's on to soft foods.

I am 1 week and 1 day post op revision from band to sleeve. I called my doctor 2 days ago and was told she used a 40fr bougie. I was upset before, but after reading about bougie size and seeing that there is only a slight difference in sizes, I felt much better. I can eat about 2-3 ounce at a time of pureed food. I'm on this state until the 18th of June. So far so good.

Surgery went well on the 14th. I'm home now working on getting in fluids, walking and resting. The only part of the experience I didn't like was having to be stuck 6 times to get an IV the second day. Other than that, it was ok. I only took pain meds once. All I have now is a little gas that gets better each day. So far so good.

May 14th. I report to the hospital at 10:45. I'm gonna pack my bag tomorrow night and finish up lesson plans for the substitute.

I am having a revision from lap band to sleeve. Dr. Wynn is doing my surgery. I'm not trying to have it rescheduled.

Anyone in Delaware have left over Optifast to sell? I can't get my supply until Monday and I was told I may have to reschedule my surgery on the 14th if I don't have it for the weekend.

I just finished day 3 of my 14 day pre-op liquid diet. I have lost 7 pounds the first 3 days. I won't be able to get my Optifast until tomorrow. I've been drinking Boost Protien and Muscle Milk. The Optifast is so expensive, but that's what my surgeon requires. I will have a revision from band to sleeve on May 14, 2013.

Congratulations on your surgery date. I will be a band to sleeve revision.
I received a disappointing message yesterday from the nutritionist. I initially was told since I already went through nutrition classes with the band, that I would only have to do 3 months of classes plus the pulmonary and cardiac clearances. It appears CHRIAS made a mistake and I now have to do 6 months of nutrition classes.. The insurance company just wants 6 months before thay approve it. They explained the reason is because I'm 5 years out from the band.
I was upset because I was supposed to get my surgery date January 30th. Now it looks like I won't get a date until around April. I have to call tomorrow to get back on the schedule for more nutrition classes and who knows what else. The positive side is that I wasn't denied but I'm still disappointed.

Hello all. I'm from Dover Delaware and I am pre-op at this point. I'm glad I found African American Sleevers. I am in the process of pre-op clearances which will be completed on January 22nd. I have a lap band still implanted from 2007. I'll be glad to have it out, but I must say I'm nervous about the revision to VSG. I'll be checking out the veterans everyday for advise and encouragement along with questions that are swimming around in my head.
Thank you Samantha.

I also had the lap band in August of 2007. I would never recommend it to anyone. I am going through 3 month clearances to get the band removed and revised to the VSG. I will complete my clearances on January 22nd and hope to have the surgery early February.

I think it's a good thing. I just had my 1 month post-op and including my 2 week liquid diet, I've lost 33.6 pounds. I think that's good. He said my incisions have healed very well. The only problem I have is feeling hungry and wondering if it is really hunger. I take the prilosec so I know it isn't acid reflux. Anyone else have hunger pains right after you eat?
