Hello everyone

I was banded in August 2007. For the first year everything went well. I lost a total of 52 pounds. After the first year I began having issues with vomiting or regurgitating food. I would be sitting at the table with family or friends and have to get up to vomit or belch up food. Some times it would occur with just 2 bites of dense protein. I couldn't eat rice, broccoli, most meats and a variety of other foods. I was also sick of the constant fills and unfills. I finally asked for an appointment with my surgeon to discuss removing the band after a physician assistant wanted to unfill me again. I am currently going through 3 months of clearances with the last appointment being January 22, 2013. I'm looking at February to have the band removed and the sleeve done at the same time. I'm a little nervous, but I know I need to get this dreaded band out and move on.
