    March sleevers anyone?

Just had my surgery on the 6th. I'm home now and doing fine. Surgery went well. Was up and walking within three hours of returning to my room. Walking was pretty easy. I did feel hungry, but it didn't bother me. I didn't need much pain meds for the incisions. It was the gas pain that was hurting. I still haven't gotten rid of any of it and it makes drinking hard. I did have some pain in my left shoulder when the gas migrated, but a nice heat pad helped to move it elsewhere. The worse part of the whole experience was drinking the dye for the leak test. That stuff was beyond disgusting! Thank goodness I only had to drink 4 sips. There was no way I was going to be able to drink more than that without getting sick. Passed the leak test, was given a Popsicle, Jello and water and was on my way home an hour and a half later. I wish I could get rid of the gas, I think I would like I was back to a 100%. I don't feel that I need the pain meds but take it so I can sleep better and longer. I wish everyone well and congrats to all who are already in recovery!

    March sleevers anyone?

Still making final preparations for my surgery in just one day. Have all the shakes, powders and vitamins ready to go. Have the pain meds (liquid form), bag is packed and just need to copy a few documents. Will be at the hospital by 8:30 A.M. on Wednesday, surgery at 10:30,, provided we don't get shut down due to snow. No body here (Northern VA) can handle even an inch of snow!

    March sleevers anyone?

Hi! I'm Anne, in Virginia. March 6th is my date and I start one week of liquids this Wednesday. Final Pre-op appointment with the surgeon is this Tuesday. I'm ready to get this done, to lose weight and start enjoying life more! Good to all the March Sleevers!

    March sleevers anyone?

I'm having my surgery on March 6th, as well and I've been on a roller coaster for the past week. I'm stressed trying to get all my office work done before surgery and I start a liquid diet on Wednesday. At least I get to see the ladies at the support group one more time before the surgery. I know they'll put me at ease. Today I bought about six different Protein shakes to get me through my week of a liquid diet. I have unjury powders as a backup, but plan on using those after the surgery!
