    Frustrated

All I can say is that it does get better. At 7 1/2 months that is a distant memory for me. I remember that for me it was about 3 weeks it seemed to be a sudden improvement. You are doing everything right to try to sneak more in when you can.

    Looking for vitamins

My nutritionist recommended two Flintstone chewables with iron. Easy to find and not a bad taste either.

    Slow weight loss

An important point with myfitnesspal is to set your calories and other parameters but don't allow adding exercise to think that you can eat more calories. Stay with your doctors guidelines. At your stage I was at 800 to 1000 calories per day. You are also at the normal time for hair loss so you may be getting enough protein. Most people just lose hair at 4 to 5 months.

    Before and During Photos!

You look great! I don't have too many before pictures either. It is fun to shop and try on but I have tried to avoid buying too much because 2 to 3 weeks later it may be too big.

    Bowel Movements

My post op instructions were to use milk of magnesia if needed. I never needed it then. At 6 weeks I added an iron supplement as instructed by my nutritionist. ( two flintstone chewables). Now I mix 1/2 capful miralax into my morning Greek yogurt 2 to 3 days a week and that keeps me at a bm every other day. My doctor said it was best to just dose it to achieve regularity and didn't need it every day.

What are your long term fitness goals

7 years ago I was doing sprint distance triathlons. I was inspired by a book called "Slow Fat Triathlete". Very inspirational. I hated the running aspect but love biking. I have been riding 10 miles every night for the past week. Tonight I did 14 miles. By summer 2014 I want to ride in a century race (100 miles)
  8. Wow. I am just 7 months out. This is eye opening. Thank you for your honesty.
  9. My doctor puts all patients on omeprazole (generic Prilosec) for the first 6 weeks. After that, I didn't need it.

    All of my December sleevers...

Still losing 1 to 2 lbs per week. I have lost almost 80 lbs since surgery and have about 15 lbs more to go. Slow and steady. Recently started riding my bike 10 miles per night with my husband. Loving it. Started at size 24. Now 14's fit and occasionally 12's. I am happy with where I am but want to be at goal by December.

    Everything makea me nausueous

When I was in the soft stage, my nutritionist recommended things like Greek yogurt, refried Beans with salsa, sugar free fat free pudding made with skim milk and 1/3 cup dry fat free milk for added Protein. Take it slow and you'll find a routine that you can build on it. I know you haven't had real food in awhile but don't try to jump farther ahead than you are ready for.

    Vitamins

Right. Iron and Calcium are absorbed in a similar way. So if you take them at the same time, calcium interferes with the absorption of iron.

    Vitamins

My nutritionist recommended two flintstone chewables with Iron. I take them at lunch because you can't take iron and calcium together. So calcium is at Breakfast and dinner. Also be careful the kind of calcium. Most chewable calcium is calcium carbonate which requires more stomach acid to metabolize. My nutritionist recommends calcium citrate instead.
  14. I love the syntax nectar cookies and cream and chocolate truffle. They also have an unflavored. I add it to sugar free fat free pudding. Makes a great high protein dessert.
  15. I searched but didn't find any previous posts so here goes. Maybe I'm just odd. I had surgery 6 1/2 months ago. I'm about 20 lbs from my goal. I have always been pear shaped and now I have extra skin over my hips and thighs in the saddle bag area. Not a surprise. The shock is that when I sit and twist a certain way, it must fold the extra skin on itself and pinch. It is extremely painful in almost a cry out loud sort of way. It has been going on for a couple of weeks. Has anyone else experienced this? I wasn't sure how I felt about plastic surgery but I can't fear sitting down for the rest of my life either.

    All of my December sleevers...

Traveling by plane all day. What a treat not to worry about sitting in the middle seat for one of the flights Had to have dinner at an airport restaurant due to weather delays. Normally you have to order a bowl of soup and they only sell the cup as a side if you order an entree. My surgeon gave me a card that politely requests that they accommodate my special dietary needs. Didn't need to use it. Just said I have had surgery and they were great. Soup was good and a cup was just enough

Also. My go to fast food is a grilled chicken snack wrap with no sauce from Mc Donald's. it has 210 calories but I still can't even eat the whole tortilla.
  18. Another idea when you are allowed soft foods is sugar free fat free pudding. Make it with skim milk but add 1/4 or 1/3 cup of powdered dry milk. It adds protein and the pudding is actually creamier. You can add it to creamed soups too.
  19. I was allowed to use lactose free milk during the first two weeks like Lact-aid.

    All of my December sleevers...

I flew yesterday for the first time since surgery. So nice to not worry about sharing a seat with a stranger and having my thighs infringe on their space. Next time I need to remember to bring snacks. I meant to bring some cheese sticks but forgot. There is not much healthy available in an airport. This week will be a challenge visiting people that aren't used to my eating habits. My mom made a casserole for dinner. She said "well you said you eat chicken". She forgot that I also said I DON'T eat pasta. Oh well. I can always pick out the chicken to eat and offered to cook the next meal.

    All of my December sleevers...

I have my 6 month check up in another week and I'm sure they will adjust my vitamins based on my bloodwork. I currently take Breakfast: 600 mg calcium citrate, 5000 vitamin D, 1000mg B-12, B-complex, and 5000mg Biotin, Lunch: two flintstone chewables with iron Dinner: 600mg calcium, biotin My nut thinks I get enough other calcium from diet. I eat 1000 to 1100 calories per day. I eat 70 to 90 grams of protein. Less than 45 grams of fat. I don't really worry about carbs because I still don't have room for bread or pasta. Welcome back.

    All of my December sleevers...

Yeah. I'm in the 170s today. A couple pounds from being " overweight" instead of obese. I am losing just 2 lbs a week but only walking for exercise. Almost a decade ago I lost 90 lbs but was exercising 2 hours per day. A shoulder and knee injury derailed that and gained it all back and then some. Decided this time I was going to lose it with a lifestyle I can maintain realistically. So been losing slowly but surely. No stalls more than a week.
