  1. I'm doing pretty good. Nearly 60oz of Fluid and Protein... Feels like I'm just continually drinking and it worries me. I feel like with every sip there is a burp. Not much pain... Just some incisional burning. Looking forward to follow up this week on Wednesday! How are you feeling???

I'm doing ok. It's hard getting the 60 oz in for me. Plus I'm so sick of Water, flavored water, chicken broth and SF Popsicles. I know I will do it just getting a little bored with it and like you I feel like that is all I do. I see my doctor on Wednesday too and can't wait to move to phase 2! Keep up the good work!

  2. Hi there! How was your hospital experience? Mine was good. I was glad to be there for 2 nights. The next two nights in a hotel were rough because I was so nauseous. I'm back home now and feel much better.

It was so nice. The nurses were great and I actually got to go home the next day around 3pm. But I had my surgery at 530am! I had never had surgery before and did not like how I felt coming out of recovery. I knew it was going to hurt but I just wanted to go back to sleep. I did not throw up until after my upper GI test, that barium make me sick. Glad you are at home now there is nothing like needing to be in your own bed.

  3. Hi everyone. I'm 5 days post op and feeling so much better. I know how you feel about being concerned about how much you can drink. I feel hydrated but wonder if I'm taking in too much Fluid. I'm also having weird pain over my upper abdomen. It's rolling pain' date=' like labor, but not as painful. Is anyone having diahreah?

Hey Shannon! So glad everything went good for you. I'm struggling to get my 60 oz of clear Fluid they want everyday. My left side is sore and I have a hard time getting comfortable when I sleep. I do feel better today and not hungry at all. I'm dreaming of my next phase were I can add Protein shakes and creamy Soups that have been strained. I will be on that for two weeks then bring on the purée. I can't wait!

  4. Yes' date=' they called me too! I have to be there at 5am, looks like you're first up :) The liquid diet isnt a problem really, I have zero appetite just thinking about Tuesday. OMG

Also I have a cold, no fever or chest congestion....but I have a head cold. Hospital says no problem unless I have a fever. I hope thats really ok, dont want to end up with pneumonia.

    Hows it going for you?[/quote']

It's going good, I was originally suppose to have surgery on December 28th and got the flu on the 27th. They couldn't do surgery since I was running a fever. I was so disappointed because I had did very well on the liquid diet and then got sick. But now I feel really good and glad I rescheduled. I hope you feel better. Best of luck to you. Lets keep in contact so we can support one another!

  5. I got the call from Forest Park with some basic details but I won't know what time to report until I see Dr. Nick tomorrow. So exciting! I would be so happy if I had to report at 3:30 am--that means you are one of the first in line for surgery with your doc that day! I have a feeling I will be at the end of the day...

So you will be at the same hospital with myself and Blue Star Mom on Tuesday. Do you live in Dallas?

  6. Welcome MyFreedom....Congrats on your surgery date. I really don't like to post to much I've mostly been reading what everyone has been through and what advice they have. Would love to have the information you have on support groups in our area. Please feel free to private message me. Good luck in your journey! It's very exciting and scary at the same time. :)
