they did allow me to use my weight watchers history for myself

Work Rumors..... Ahhhhh
jsayles replied to lilpun75's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Well said! I have told my co-workers also because I am very excited. Most were excited for me but others are always trying to talk me out of it or get me to try their "latest diet". I keep telling them all those diets are temporary fixes. I do not understand why they can't just be happy for me. -
Just super duper excited to tell .... I will be sleeved on February 18th!! I cannot wait My mother in law and I are both having it done on the same day! sooo, thats all, just super excited!!

I am just starting the process with bmi of 35. Insurance requires 6 months. I am worried I will be denied because of my lower bmi. Even though I have been heavy my whole adult life and I have family history of high blood pressure and diabetes I do not have them YET. anyone have any suggestions to ensure that I won't get denied?

I haven't done a sleep study done yet but my hubby says I snore lol. I don't have arthritis but a loooong history of yo yo dieting. Tried weight watchers a dozen times only to gain it back. And many members of my family have developed diabetes and high blood pressure with early death. I meet with the surgeon on Monday and I'm just going to ask up front if it can be approved or if I'm wasting my time...

Gastric Sleeve Surgery Date Set.....low Bmi
jsayles replied to Texasgirl73's topic in Mexico & Self-Pay Weight Loss Surgery
I too have a bmi of around 34. Self pay is not a real option for me at this time so I am still hoping and praying my insurance company will see that this surgery will save them money in the long run. I do not have the high blood pressure or diabetes YET but everyone in my family does and I am built exactly like them. I am 5'1 and 184 pounds. Has anyone had luck or could give me advice for helping to get my insurance to pay? Thank you in advance:) -
Where Are All The Short Vsg Girls?
jsayles replied to sandygo's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
5'1 here. Not sleeved yet but hopefully soon. My pants size are 18 and never fit right:(. Hoping my BMI is high enough for them to approve me for the sleeve. I am 185 lbs but because I'm so short I look a lot heavier and feel it.
