My tiny little BFF does the 10 minute trainers- she turns 30 this weekend, had a baby 9 months ago- and her body looks amazing! However, it's not an easy work out. It's 10 minutes of hardcore sweating and burpies and mountain climbers.

Where Are All The Short Vsg Girls?
ashelaine replied to sandygo's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Thanks OTR! It was my goal to be there by my birthday and I missed it by 3 days, but I will take it! Tsymle- My salmon burgers come from trader joes or costco- I throw some seasoning on it like teriyaki sauce (5carbs) or lemon pepper and bake it or sautee it in a pan. It's nothing fancy . Chicken Parmesan pops from tj's are awesome, too. Crab stuffed flounder, shrimp cocktail. There's so much easy no muss no fuss stuff! I freaking LOVE to cook (I bake for a living). So- if you want any ideas- let me know!!! I'm happy to share! -
hehe.. get it girl! I burned quite a few this weekend! We were out of town with no kids. Yep.. Calories were burned and I hit Onederland this morning!

Where Are All The Short Vsg Girls?
ashelaine replied to sandygo's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Most days.. let me think... I will have a boiled egg and a piece of turkey sausage for breakfast, lunch I will have 1/2 a salmon burger or lunch meat and cheese rolled up. Dinner is generally whatever I make for the family and I will eat the protein part- last night I had 1.5oz. of sloppy joe and some baked beans. I eat a lot of tex mex. So I will have 1 taco, or fajitas etc. -

Hi all!!! I'm 4'11. I started at 248 and this morning I am at 199. I'm so happy with my sleeve. I am thrilled with my results and I know that I could not have done this without my tool! -
I have it, but I have not started it yet! I know it looks killer.
-
woo hoo!!!! Best feeling ever is breaking through a stall!
-
How can this math be possible ? The Sleeve is not working.
ashelaine replied to Kapoorvilla's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Stalls happen- and they SUCK. Big time. I lost 20lbs at my one week check up (11/20). I then stayed at the same weight almost until Christmas- that's 5 weeks. I was mad at myself and my sleeve. That being said- I have to stay around 600 calories- Carbs don't seem to kill me, however I don't have much room for them- I drink a small glass of fruit juice a day. I have lost 29lbs since I started tracking everything and staying right at my 600 calories. I'm at a total loss in 10 weeks of 49lbs. I will take it. You just need to figure out what works for you and your body. My body HATES me if I go too low carb- hypoglycemia rears its ugly head). -
I loved jemima jones! I'm excited to see what other people say for their recommendations!

What meds can i take
ashelaine replied to mrs sandy r's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I was told any liquid cold meds are fine. Just check with your doctor if they are anti NSAID. Tylenol cold and flu multi symptom made me feel better. -

Other things done while VGS in Mexico
ashelaine replied to whatwillBwillB's topic in Mexico & Self-Pay Weight Loss Surgery
His teeth look AMAZING!! My genetics are screwed teeth wise (mine are terrible) if and when it comes time for me to do it- I would so go to MX. He had them done 3 years ago and has had zero problems. I will see if I can find out who he used! -
I bought a bunch of stuff at tj Maxx and marshall's. It was all less than $10 each. Looks great and fits great. I'm a big under armour fan, too
-
Hope everything is ok! I'm so so very sorry you are going through this. My best friend had the same thing happen a few months ago. It's a terrible experience!

Tanning beds or sunless tanning products?
ashelaine replied to Bos123's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I haven't tanned in a bed in years, however- I tanned after having my gallbladder out for probably 6ish months starting at 1 month post op. My scars are so faded and minuscule I had a hard time finding one to show a friend who was going to be having the surgery. I think it's yet another your mileage may vary. But- there are some awesome YouTube videos about self tanning. I'm really tempted to try it. -
Dillard's and Nordstrom sell wacoal sports bras. I am a 38G and I'm comfortable enough to run and do aerobics in it.

Having a baby before or after surgery?
ashelaine replied to christy38's topic in Tell Your Weight Loss Surgery Story
I will be trying for baby 3 next summer. I planned this specifically because I knew the timing we are planning. I will be 18 months post-op and my doctor has said that's perfect. I say lose the weight! Being pregnant is do much easier when you aren't lugging around all the extra. I gained 50lbs between kids 1 and 2.
