    When Do People Notice?

I lost 23 pounds so far and people already notice!! mainly because i have always wore fitted clothes...
  3. Good evening everyone, I just registered today but i have been creeping on this site for almost 2 months Now, (Sorry about that, i wasnt ready to post anything yet) I had surgury on the 7th of november of this month over seas and i was pretty shocked because i went to set up surgery date on the 6th and my doctor surprised me by asking me if i can be ready the next day... Oh well how could i say no to that? I went in weighing 239 lbs and with no pre diet or anything.. I left one day after surgery had to sip for three days because i couldn't drink well but after that i drank a lot more i drink about 5 cups of Water a day since then and over the first 8 days lost 19 pounds but now am at a stall lost .5 grams in the last 3 days oh and my doctor wanted me on liquid diet 1 week then now am on mushy/ pureed food until thursday but i am cheating i do eat chew ables sometimes am no saint and my stomach... But now 11 days after my op i am wondering why my doctor didn't tell me to drink any Protein shakes nor gave me any medicines more than a capsule that i take in the morning to protect my new stomach... I feel depressed, am i losing enough weight? What happens if i don't drink any Protein Shakes or take Vitamin pills? I am currently in lebanon and i don't know where i would get Protein drinks from, am so lost and scared i will fail
  4. I am 20 and had the surgery two weeks ago!
  5. Thank you i will be looking into that
  6. Alithino, Congrats on your sergury, and i cant tell you how interested i am to get as much nutrition info and guidelines as possible since i wont be seeing a NUT myself, I would very much appreciate it if you would send me the webpage so i can look at it and take some notes!
  7. Thank you for your reply, i see you have lost good weight so far considering that you have PCOS, I too was diagnosed with PCOS about two years ago and someone told me that i wont lose a whole lot of weight even if i have the surgery... You gave me hope to keep going am only two weeks post op and almost 23 pounds lighter, I do not take any Protein shakes nor supplements since where i temporary live they do not have such supplements at stores or anyplace i went and looked hopefully i will find something if i keep looking, but when i asked my doctor about protein, he said that eventually i will be eating enough protein by myself and not to worry about it, but tbh am freaking out i want protein!!!
  8. Thank you for your reply, and congrats on your surgery, Now am convinced that having a NUT is not the only way i can lose weight, am doing research too and hope it helps. Good luck losing weight
  9. Right after the surgery i started to feel like I can't stand to drink Water, every time I do it makes me gag and I have to choke it down. I thought it was because of my new stomach and it will get better when i stop sipping. Three days after the surgery i could drink more water than before but if i drink warm water or water that is sitting out of the freezer i feel like i will throw up also my stomach hurts for a while after. The only way i found that i can drink water is if it was freezing cold!!! But am afraid that the freezing cold water is not good for my stomach... Can someone tell me if it was ok drinking ice cold water??? It's the only way i will have my water in!! please no one tell me to try crystal lite instead because the sickeningly sweet after taste of fake sugar makes me want to drink warm water LMAO Is cold water bad for me? (i do sometimes feel the cold water as it goes down my chest and into my stomach but no pain just a bit of discomfort)
  10. It does get better, hang in there!! I still drink my water very cold and i stopped testing other liquids for now, stick with the ones you like until this phase is over. Good luck

  14. thank you for your reply! my NUT only gave me what to eat one month after surgery and wants me to go again after the month is over ( they seek to make money) but i found this booklet http://www.peachtree...ient-Manual.pdf and on page 25 they tell me what is allowed and not allowed for a lifetime after gastric sleeve so i still dont think she will be much more help ugh so confused dont want to waste more money!

Almost 9 Months Out With Pics

Wow!! Lucky you, you look great and healthy! I hope i have the same results in 9 months
  18. Thank you for your comment at least i know its not only me and it might go away soon, hope its not long before i can drink water normally!!
  19. Hi there!! I am new on here and only about two weeks post op but i think i might have info for you to help you with this problem, Nuts are good for you But you have to follow a strategy in order not to turn the good in the nuts against you, and if you feel like you overdid it on the nuts, try to reduce the calories later in the day. NOTE: dont eat out of the bag, have a small cup or a small handfull and then hide the bag for later. CHEW VERY WELL AND THROUGHLY!!! Another thing about nuts is that unsalted nuts are healthier than those that have salt, so make sure you buy unsalted nuts. I hope i was a bit helpful with easing your worries, and good luck on your weight loss journey!!

    Cheating? Already?!

I am on the same boat as you are am only 12 days post surgery and am already eating solid foods sometimes but i make sure i chew well before i swallow, i currently am overseas and i eat solid foods because i have no choices for mashies here like i would in the US... 5 days ago i started eating pureed food as instructed by my doctor, and i ate pureed potatoes and carrots every day three times a day up until yesterday and that is when my husband caught me eating some cooked rice while i was cooking for him (couldnt help it, i am a very good cook and i like to taste my food) :(of coarse after the second bite i was full... but to get back to your post, we all do cheat sometimes and try to tell ourselves that what we are doing is ok and we are probably not the first to cheat, just be careful and remember that soon enough we will be able to eat anything we'd like just much smaller amounts than before... hang in there ^_ ^
  21. Oh congrats!!! we can always see how we are doing compared to each other! hopefully 6 months or so from now we will be jumping higher lmao
