I realize its the holidays but c'mon!? Since Sept... I had the entire diet done for 7 months supervised by a dr HCG...bmi 40+ years.. What is the deal? Anyone playing a long wait gain with them? Sharing would help me feel like I'm not alone...
  3. Yay nomore!!! We will probably be in the van with you if you are getting picked up this morning!!!! Lol we are at the hospital now but came in yesterday for same day surgery.... The surgery has been moved to today because my partner threw away her money order by accident at the airport yesterday... we now have to be driven back to San Diego to go to her bank this morning to get a new money order issued and the old one canceled! They would not do surgery unless she was paid in full first. What a mess -----but we will prob see you soon! Ps Florence is ok... I had the mi hospital for my surgery......and they both have their negatives and positives.....so far hot water broken but they have since fixed it..... Tv very small and barley hear it with 5 English speaking channels(I'm not a huge tv watcher anyway) broth jello and liquids have to be ordered and take about 30 min to get.....no where for me to eat anything but there is an order out menu lol...... in Spanish.... The cafeteria is buffet only and my partner has to buy vouchers for me.... I took a look and its not for me as its basically all vegan..... Lol I normally don't complain just sharing all that we have learned so far! There is food spots a block or two and stuff down by the beach which a little scary to walk....but we tried this yesterday....anyway we are managing and we will see you soon!!!!

Tipped driver 10 each way. Tipped the bell boy 5 each way. Tipped room service 3 each time I ordered. Never saw cleaning people. Tipped restaurant staff 3 each meal/broth and spouses food. I took 100 in 1$s!! Having 1's was key and I used less then 30 for tipping! Used 25-30 for souvenirs.... 25-30 for retina a cream(anti wrinkle) and momason (tightened cream) for saggy skin the nurse there told me to get!

  12. Sleeved 4/2 and down 64.2lbs.... I'm only 5'2" we'll almost....and my start weight pre op was 238.8 CW is 174.6.... Not sure what my goal weight should be.... I have a larger body frame them most women.... More muscle then fat ratio percentage.... I'm thinking 140 would be a good weight ? But I guess I'll just see how it goes! Exercise 3-4 times a week as I'm just lazy but I get outside more now to do physical activity! I think that just keeping your body moving is the key!

    Bizarre trend?

Best decision of my life and I wish I would of done it sooner! I was tired and fed up of being fat and hungry all the time! Surgery was 4/2 and I have lost 44 lbs so far including 1 week pre op diet...it has not been easy but not horribly hard as I remind myself through photos how miserable I was not to mention depressed ---as I felt like I couldn't control the hunger! I have had to get creative with meals to keep me motivated but find it entertaining when I find something healthy and yummy!! I have used the Emilybites.com website for new ideas... My family even requests the meals I make from the website!! Any way happy sleever here!!! How bad do you want it? I feel that is what it comes down to for me to get through the hard times... Oh ya and my cravings are gone!
  20. I still have not heard back from case manager.. I call every day and my paperwork has been there over two weeks... I spoke to case manager Monday and she said she would be looking at my case that day or next day... Called back yesterday to check again.... And cust service said oh it's been changed to In process... Big deal... I'm trying to stay posit ie but getting harder and harder... My partner is having baby at end of year so I was hoping to have surgery before that happens. The only thing the lady said was well its just a busy time of year ...
  21. I am so happy with my sleeve!! That is an understatement!!!! --Surgery with Dr. Garcia on 4/2 --starting weight preop 238.8 --surgery weight 228 --current weight 1 month out 204.6 --34.2lbs one month out plus preop --I'm mainly concentrating in low carb/high protein and liquids... Not so much on calories but still only eating 600-800per day per fitness pal......As far as exercise I have started the gym yesterday at one mile and light lifting will increase to 2 miles in a week and so on.....will go 3-4 times a week is goal.... My fiancé has now booked a date on July 23rd with Dr garcia for sleeve surgery!!! She is tired of yoyo dieting and over being scared as she has watched and taken care of me on my recovery she is amazed and inspired!....she also wants to do this lifestyle change and commitment with me and feels like we can help eachother through it!! I told her to just be aware as everyone's experience is different...my recovery has been smooth and uneventful and I am very thankful/grateful for that! --Things I'm eating daily... These three items alone guarantees 72g protein per day... --Two protein shakes a day pre made pure protein from Costco... will continue until I'm able to get more from foods in a few months then will I probably will have one a day eventually...30g protein each! Two=60 --Dannon light and fit Greek yogurt 12g protein!! (One a day for me as the protein is awesome--only 80 calories and low in carbs....vanilla strawberry and blueberry best!!) --Snacks I have on hand at all times.... String cheese, SF Popsicles (2-3 per day and they help with liquid intake), flavored water crystal light bottles, eggs for eggs salad, tuna salad, chicken canned for chicken salad, shredded mexi cheese as its lower in fat, refried beans, plain greek yogurt as sour cream substitute... Sliced turkey and deli meat from deli, Cracker Barrel light cheese squares, sf jello, sf pudding, peanut butter, stuff for ricotta bake in muffin tins recipe, babybell cheese circles, Gatorade, cream soups, Lipton chicken noodle soup....today...I'm going to start on soft/solid food and look into emilybites.com for the wonton recipes that are sleeve friendly! Pizza bites, lasagna bites, taco bites, BBQ chicken bites, Hawaiian chicken bites, buffalo chicken bites etc.... I'm also go to try crab this week and ground beef to see how I can do with it!! Anyway just wanted to give an update as I used this site preop and post to get me through!!! It's important to me to give back, so if it can help even one person, it is worth it!! I am committed to this forum and to myself for making this decision and promise to follow up as I progress!!!! Happy Sleeving!!!! No regrets!
