  1. I am on liquids also, I was banded May 24th and my belly is still huge. Mylanta chewables have helped ALOT...You might try that to get some of the gas out. Its terribly uncomfortable...I have found all post diets are different. Mine now is thin Soups and protien drinks 2 ounces every 2 hours. Compared to what I was eating before my body has no choice but to lose weight. I love this site...Im just figuring out how to use it. It is very confusing. Good luck on your weight loss.

  2. Hey guys, I was worried about nausia also because I get carsick even whenIm driving...Its bad for me...I told the anesthesiologist and he had the nurse put a patch behind my ear he called it Scope but it has a longer name...Its for when you are traveling like dramamine but dr strength...I wasnt nausias once...Maby that would work for you...

  3. Your six days out and you eating mashed potatoes...Im so jealous...For the next five weeks I cant eat anything that doesnt come though a straw...Different Dr.s I guess...Enjoy those potatoes...I got banded on Thur and I already feel better about myself because I know how hot Im going to be when all is said and done....Best of luck to ya...
Hey eveyone, It's been a while since I was on the site. The week got crazy and then the holiday weekend come fast. My son is a 2nd grader and my daughter turns 4 tomorrow. How did that happen?:drum:.

My shoulder pain was BAAADDDD!!! Oh my, then, Friday I went in for another procedure, Novasure (if you haven't heard about this one, you should). I was sedated again and woke up with NO PAIN... anywhere. The shoulder pain was gone and I haven't had any meds since I left my OB/GYNs office. It was wierd. I came home, slept from 3p to 9p, got up had some Soup and went back to bed. The next morning, I was fine. Not sure what they did while I was sedated, but Thanks....

Today was a hard one. We had friends visiting in town from Pasedena and went to a mutual friends house for a BarBQ - swim party with the kids. The food looked AMAZING!! It was month watering. I showed up with my cup of Tortilla Soup from Tin Star. None of these folks knew about my surgery, just told them it was because of the Novasure, I could only eat liquids through the weekend. I dont see these folks exact about once a year, so they just need to know what they see the next time they see me. I put my head hunger to the test and I PASSED!!!. I ate nothing but my soup. And it was GREAT. My DH padded me on the back for my courage and will power. I didn't know I had it in me. Thats 2 BarBQs since I got my friend and I can do this.

Well, I need to stop typing and start sewing. I am making 12 Groovy Girl backpacks for my daughters 4th birthday party on Tuesday. I have 8 left to make. UUGHH.. I always wait till the bitter end. That is what I will work on next, but I start working on that tomorrow.. :tea:

I was wondering, is there anyway to figure out total pounds lost by the May bandsters? That would be an incredible number to see grow.

    Good night!!:notagree

  5. Well I wasnt on the calander but I got banded on May 4th...So far it has been alot easier than I thought. I have quite a few questions...The only place Im haveing pain is on the side of my port. I coughed this morning and it felt like I was being stabbed. Im sure that goes away but to future bandstrs thats a good FYI...Also I havent poohd since the day before surgery. When do I break doun and take somthing???And if I need to does anyone have a suggestion on a liquid on are somthing small. Its hard to hide the taste of anything in 2 oz. And thats me for the next 5 weeks...I have been able to walk since day one. When I got out of the hospital I went shopping with my mom and to the movies yesterday...I hear that you heal better if you move more...Hope it works...Im hitting the gym in one week and I am ready to get rid of these LBS. :clap2:

  6. Well its done. I had my surgery on the 24th. All is well so far but my port area is bothering me...Is that normal?? All the other incisions I dont even feel which is great but moving with that port is a bitch. Hopefully its normal and it will pass...Hope everyone is doing good. I am looking forward to my newife...

  7. I am newly single and had told my ex about the surgery and he said he loved me the way I was...But its not about how they love us...Its about how we love us...Im getting banded this Thur and I am very excited and happy to be single through this part of my life...When I start dating again I will decide if he is worthy of knowing about the band...And if I tell him and he doesnt like it then he can move along caus Im not getting any younger....

  8. Good luck on your surgery...The suspense is about to kill me. Im getting banded the day after you so we will have to track together...Im 5'3 197...Id like to lose about 75 lbs...Ugh...Any thoughts on how to get passed the food OBESSION....Thank goodness there is a free support group with my surgery...

  9. Im getting banded on May 24th...I cannot wait...I have been reading about people on a preop diet...My Dr didnt say anything about one. I have my Proop Dr visit on May 16th.
