  1. All of the above. Make sure you're still drinking your fluid and walking everyday.
  2. Hey is there an app to use this site on your iPhone? Deano
  3. I'm still early days as you know, so I don't really have a lot of insight. It's definitely not about what your eating ie changes to your 'regular' diet? Deano

    Ex Issues- Please Help!

Good luck Fallen angel. You sound very switched on, I'm sure you'll make a decision that's good for you!

    Ex Issues- Please Help!

I think the words he used that everyone picked up on is that he didn't think he'd be attracted to Fallenangel even at 250 pounds. That would seem to indicate he's exclusively attracted to very very large women. I'm sure if you found a dark haired person that you were attracted to, including the dark hair, there would be still some attraction if there hair was now brown. I really think to tell someone at 380 that you wouldn't be attracted to them at 250 is a hurtful and manipulative thing to say.

Day 18: I Am Just Not Feeling The Sleeve Today!

My surgery date was the 7th Nov, so I think we're at about the same stage. I haven't felt anything as overt as you, but it sounds like your just experiencing a bit of grief for your old relationship with food. Eating was obviously a big part of all our lives! This feeling will pass, as you develop a healthy relationship with food and know your new limitations you'll value that food is nurturing you and not abusing you. You have done the right thing. Deano

    Ex Issues- Please Help!

Tell him about the surgery. Tell him it's inevitable that you are going to be a proportionate build and there's nothing you can do about it. He's being bluntly honest with you. If he's not still interested when he knows the truth, maybe it is a fetish and you are better off without him?
  8. This is an easy site to navigate. I was thinking more creating a social group on here. That way there can be a few threads for different subjects?
  9. Hey do you think we should start an Australian VSG group? I think it might be better than using the one thread because you can have different topics, is that right? I'm thinking it might help down the track if people are trying to look things up. Deano
  10. Does that even count as work??
  11. Sucks eh? I'm working until 10pm, I'll be dying by then!
  12. Thanks Ozee - I think I'll have to try harder to remember not to jump up / out of bed like I do, doesn't help!
  13. What a terrible time to get the flu! I was sleeved on the 7th, the day after you. What diet has your Dr got you on? I'd probably be checking with them and looking to maybe go back on pureed diet for a time? Good luck and take it easy, Deano

    Drinking Fluids

One week out I was the same. I just made sure I didn't 'gulp' and just too small sips.

    Snack Struggles

Load up on more good vegetables for dinner, and after I guess if you're really hungry. As for the dry cereal - I'd really avoid the carbs, especially at night / evening. I stuck to my pre op diet pretty well, and there were some real 'hungry times'. Mentally I just stuck with the thought that it's only for such a short time (as opposed to trying to lose a massive amount). Stay hydrated too! Good luck, Deano

    Firefighter/paramedic

Hey. I'm a Police Officer in Australia. I went back to work after 2 weeks (2 days ago). I'm doing most things, but avoiding jobs where I get hands on until after 6 weeks. Cheers, Deano
  19. Guys - I'm about 17 days post op and things seem to be going really well. One thing I have noticed is that sometimes I feel a little light headed (I wouldn't go as far to say dizzy) if I stand up quickly. Do you think it's a blood pressure thing, or is it normal with the very low calorie intake? My blood pressure has always been perfect and I've never felt light headed pre surgery. Hope your all having a good weekend, I'm working Deano
  20. Sorry, don't know the salmon you're talking about - but I love Alice Springs!

    Vitamin Help

I'm 16 days post op. At this stage it's looking like I only have to take a daily multi vitamin, but I think everyone is different.
  22. One thing I know for sure is that we aren't responsible for how other people feel in reaction to us trying to be better, healthy people. They own their own feelings and thoughts. You should never put yourself down to make someone else feel better, no matter who it is.

    Two Weeks Out!

I think we all get better at this day by day - good luck to all of us!
