I'm not anti Protein bars by any means. I keep them at work, in my kit bag for work when I'm on the road and at home. I do think that they're relatively high in calories for volume. I think they're great for an emergency, so you don't get caught out without a healthy option to eat. So I have them and try to mix in other protein Snacks during the day. For instance I'll take a boiled egg in its shell to work and have it as an afternoon snack, 70 cals. Tuna in spring Water and crackers. Jerky. There are loads of stuff to mix in with bars. I eat bars, but I don't have them everyday. Plus I'm trying to form up my eating in the future, and I'd rather get a routine with real food happening. My two cents. Cheers, Deano

Wow. You are looking AMAZING I couldn't help but notice - is there a badly positioned tear in the 'before shot' tights?

No regrets. I've said to people before, I'd lost all optimism for losing weight through diet and exercise like I had many times before. I knew it was time. I think you need to get really clear in your mind what it is you are actually anxious about. That way you can think about it rationally, not emotionally, and make a decision. One way or the other. Good luck, Deano

Is the person who made the comment overweight / obese? Could be jealousy.

He's allowed to have an opinion. The part that's a worry is the 'controlling' bit. If he says 'I don't think you should do it because of x y z, but it's your choice' Is a lot different to 'I don't think you should do it and you're not doing it'

Being on the other side of the planet. I've never been to a Red Lobster. Having said that grilled seafood, especially shell fish, is my go to food if I'm anywhere.

I think you're probably right Laura. I think for a long time bypass has been the most popular procedure in the States. It looks like after care might have a bit of a bypass flavour. In Australia I've heard per capita we get more bands than anyone else. My surgeons done several thousand. I only got told to take a multi post surgery and was given a script for something for reflux that I haven't needed. Long story short, it is frustrating that after care is so varied. My guess is it probably should be somewhere around the middle.
