You'll both be fine. Your feelings are normal. The small amount of discomfort post op becomes a distant memory once there is a landslide of the scale. Good luck! Deano

Mike for a while there I was only going every couple of days. I tried adding a fibre suppliment, but it didn't do the trick. I got a vitamix a week ago, and I've been having a green smoothie everyday. It's as regular as it was 'back in the day'. You could set your watch too it. -

'Manually dealt with' - don't even like people wagging their finger in my face! -
Yeah I've seen that. Especially if you have to get around a buoy and everyone crushes up! The beach up the road that does mini tri's has a very strong current when the tide is coming in and out. It's caused by a large river nearby. They always let the beginners swim with the current. I people could do it floating on their back if they wanted!

How cool is it to have a goal like that and the fact that it will be achieved. Good on you.

Jesus, look at you! Well done Shell. Deano

Did session 3 of week 1 last night. It felt easier. Now I'm not kidding myself that my fitness has improved after 1 week, but I think my confidence has.

That's awesome. Keep us updated!

Paul I think that's plenty of time. Most people start seriously training about the 6 week mark. Check with your surgeon. I'm pretty keen to do something like that down the track. I figure if I focus on the running and get my fitness up the swim and ride might take care of themselves!!

Half the time I'm at these things with the girls and on VST on my phone! It's good to keep them busy. My wife is a bit of a machine and doesn't stop with them either.

Has anyone have moments where they just gag!
*Dean* replied to blkdiamond377's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Toes rotting .....lol *blech* I took someone up to the hospital once who had rotting feet. The nurse said he had pseudomonas (sp?). Worst thing I've ever smelt. I said to him "Dude your feet smell worse than dead people!" -

Congratulations. Having children really is the greatest thing in the world. -
Low BMI of 38 would you do the surgery or have you done the sleeve?
*Dean* replied to Zen's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
Do you think the depression and anxiety are related to your obesity? Do you think you'd be able to lose that weight and keep it off? There are risks with this surgery, like any surgery. As you probably know it's generally done laparoscopically and recovery time is generally very quick. Most people return to work within a few days. I don't think anyone here can tell you weather you should or shouldn't have surgery. No one here can have an understanding of your circumstances from a couple of paragraphs in a post. For me it was about weighing up the risks. There are risks with surgery, sure. But there are also risks with remaining obese. For me, like the vast majority of people on VST (some of whom had a lower BMI than yours) having this surgery is amongst the best things I have ever done for myself. All the best, Deano -
Sorry. I judged you before you judged me. You snooze you lose.

I know this is one of those conversations we got reprimanded about. Having said that my wife is reading it and pissing herself laughing.
