  1. Finished week 2 day 3 this morning. I won't say it felt good doing it. I felt great once it was finished! Moving on to week 3. Deano
  2. Be careful getting on the weighing every day merry go round - speaking from personal experience! It can get quite de-motivating when the scale stops moving for days - or weeks. Have a good day everyone! Deano

    How do you handle PMs?

I usually give a brief and friendly answer. I figure SOMETIMES they might be people who don't have the self confidence to talk in an open forum, which makes me a bit sad. Sometimes I've had PM's from people who haven't posted publicly ever. I usually finish with something along the lines of 'everyone is really friendly here' (ok, I lie) and 'I'm by no means an expert and you'll get a lot of diversity in the answers you'll get from the group'. Deano

    My first 5k!

    Way to go man!
  5. Get back into it mate! That is the nemesis of exercise isn't it? A short break because of the weather, or injury, or what ever ........... The sooner you get back into it the less fitness you'll lose! Deano
  6. That's great. Let us know how you go. Deano
  7. The fact that you are out having a go means you're all ready a winner. Keep chipping away and you will do it, it's a certainty.
  8. Hi Sue. Welcome. Not long now!
  9. Just keep chipping away. Have your rest days and repeat like you are. We'll get there. I'm in a repeat of week 2 atm.

    Why Lie?!?!

Who me? *looks even more innocent* Did I mention that I think everyone should have to tell everyone that they ever meet that they've been sleeved? I think you should also have to stop people in the street to tell them and take out a small ad in your local paper. *sits back and watches*

    Why Lie?!?!

Everytime I see a notification for this thread I get anxious, but I can't unfollow. I must be a sadist.

    Diet soda ever again?

I was hoping this thread would turn into an argument .........

    Diet soda ever again?

I've had the occasional beer and diet soda. I have them out of a glass, rather than a can or a bottle so the bubbles disappear quicker. Usually it takes ages to drink one and after one I feel a little bloated. But then again. I've used a straw and haven't died either. None of these things were banned by my surgeon.
  14. That's great Sue. Looking forward to hearing about any maintenance challenges. My BMR at the moment is about 2100 cals. When you chuck in some movement / exercise I can't imagine eating that much to maintain - but I'm sure I'll manage!!
  15. Like the others have said the protein bars are high calorie for volume. I can nail a protein bar quite easily and not feel very 'full'. Compare the 200 cals of a protein bar to other food proteins - like 3 eggs or a few 100 grams of tuna in spring water. You would never be able to eat all that. Protein bars are good for an emergency. Other times they're just candy bars masquerading as a health food.

    I got the puppy!

    That sucks man .........
  17. Yep, it's amazing how much less you can eat as you move through the stages and start eating more dense food..

    Help!

All these private conversations. I tell my kids it's rude to have secrets ........

    I got the puppy!

    Laura's a feeder.
  20. I don't mind boob and food talk - but not a sausage sizzle!
  21. I'm a fan of any boob shaped food analogy!
  22. So to summarise this thread - it's good to shave your armpits because thats where you'll probably find your boobs.
  23. I love fried eggs!! Besides, you look fantastic.
