Let me clarify...you don't necessarily stall for 3 weeks lol, but the 3rd week after surgery many ppl report of stalling

    Any November 14Th Sleevers?

I've stalled..but I've read this is VERY COMMON. Do a search for '3 week stall' . Remember to keep up with your water and protein ...and stay off the scale lol

    Any November 14Th Sleevers?

Theres another thread about being cold. I thought it was just me, but I'm realizing I'm not alone. Im alllllllways cold and now I have to sleep with layers of clothes. This seems to be a common thing after surgery

    Rash...suggestions?

Is it a rash? Or a skin yeast infection? Shortly after surgery I got what I assumes was a rash in the folds of my skin and under my breast, my dr said it was a fungal infection(similar to athletes foot) and told me to use over the counter athletes foot cream. it cleared up in a few days

    African American Sleevers

I started taking biotin months before the surgery...my hair was thinning way before surgery. I haven't noticed any unusual hair loss but I'm only about 3 weeks post op. My dr told me to continue crushing all pills..until week 6. I'm also using Garnier Fall Fight shampoo. I read about it on another post and it help with hair loss. The shampoo and conditioner has biotin and caffein in it.
  8. Ok...I'm not sure if I'm over thinking this. Or maybe I'm not that good with numbers. But I'm 5 days post op...on a full liquid diet and required/expected to get in 6 "meals" a day. 3 of them must be 8 oz protein shakes with 20-30 hm of protein per serving. Now my calorie goal is 400-600 calories a day. But one 8 oz protein drink contains 210 calories...drinking that 3 times a day is about 630 calories. I've already exceeded my caloric intake with the shakes alone! This does not include the "breakfast, lunch and dinner" full liquid meals! Am I doing something wrong??

    Delayed Period? 4 Weeks Post-Op

When you are put under your body kinda "resets" so irregularity in your period is not uncommon. I was sleeved Nov 14th and when I left the hospital I had two days of very light spitting. Now my period is "suppose" to begin on the 25th, but I'm sure it's gonna be outta whack so I'm not going to worry if it's a no show

    2 Week Post Op Woohoo!

Way to go! Thankyou for taking the time to post the foods. I'm one week out. I was sleeved last Wednesday. It amazes me how meal plans and prgression of stages differ from surgeon to surgeon .

    Still Hungry

I'm glad I found this thread. I to was sleeved on the 14th and am experiencing a lot of hunger. I'm just chalking it up to being only on liquids. The liquids seem to go down very easily...almost too easily. I've read one you progress to puréed a no soft foods, the "full" feeling will kick in. I'm glad to know I'm not the only one experiencing this Sent from my iPad using VST

    Nov 14 Sleevers?

I was sleeved on the 14th...went home on the 16th. Started full liquids on the 17th. First couple days it was hard to get in all my Protein and liquids...now I can. I actually feel like things are going down too easily. I actually get very hungry in the evening. I'm down 8lbs since day of surgery. I'm on liquids until the 30th then I can move to puréed foods. I'm looking forward to chewing again! I'm in no pain, been off pain meds since leaving the hospital. I do find if I don't get my protein in I'm very fatigued . But So far no problems. :-)
  15. Thanks for all the tips! I guess what kinda through me for a loop is that I'm following the doctors orders EXACTLY... I'm using their sample menu exactly as its written and I wonder if they are aware of the misinformation printed on the menus
  16. Oh and when I say one protein drink is 210 calories that include one scoop of powder (100 calories) plus one 8 oz cup of lactaid low fat milk (110 calories)

    Any November 14Th Sleevers?

I actually bought some unflavored protein that I'm sprinkling on everything! I add it to the broths, creamed soups and plain yogurt. I've actually created my own little "parfaits" using plain Greek yogurt and crystal light...they are super yummy! And packs protein!
