What Does Yiur Sleeve Look Like?
austinlakelady replied to spieldose's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Mine was visible during my one week swallow - looked like a small plantain with a very small plum size pouch at the top. When the barium fills up the bottom fourth of the stomach it's gotta be small. Sent from Lake Travis -
No one told me about the severe gas pain immediately after surgery. I would have appreciated a heads up. I wouldn't go back I'm so glad that I did it and my life will never be the same. I also feel like I look forward to meals that aren't as gratifying as before because of the small quantities now but I am perfecting the art of eating a half a spoonful of everything so I still get to taste what I want. Incision Concerns :-( On Day 8
austinlakelady replied to Yasmine's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I used neosporin with pain reliever when it waa at its worst and that helped to numb them. Try it. I hope it helps you. Mine itched like crazy and still do at night at six wks but it does get more tolerable. If you don't have thick discharge you should be okay. Sent from Lake Travis -
It's for sure all about where you carry your weight. Mine is mostly stomach and hips so I dropped two pant sizes fast within the first 3wks and 30lbs down. I'm now at 40 lbs down at 6wks with no further size change for now. I'm not getting discouraged because I know I will drop sizes again soon. We are for sure all very different. Sent from Lake Travis

I even thought about backing out at preop when my surgeon was hours behind schedule. Hang in there - it's a journey but the start of a new life. Good luck. Sent from Lake Travis -
Can't Wait To Work Without My Legs Hurting At The End Of The Day.

I'm down 40lbs after my 10/16 sleeve date and I can tell you for sure that relief starts immediately - I can't imagine how great it will be next year at this time. Good luck! I'm a corporate trainer do more forgiving than your role but painful to carry this weight nonetheless. I can already tell a huge difference! Sent from Lake Travis -

No Urge To Eat Or Drink
austinlakelady replied to RastaSleeve's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Don't worry. I'm 5 weeks out and barely ever got in the suggested amount of fluids that first week. Just do what you can and DON'T STRESS. Every time I drank an ounce of broth I felt like I drank a gallon. I never really had a desire to drink anything and couldn't even drink my liquid meds at first which was the only real problem since pain is no fun. It will get easier. You will eventually get hungry and want the broth. Good luck! Sent from Lake Travis
