So, I had my sleeve done on the 13th and everything went well. I came home and filled my prescriptions and after a few days I noticed that my vision had gotten extremely blurry (I have never worn glasses aand have always had good vision) and could not see anything on my phone. My step dad is a pharmacist and he said a lot of the meds I was on could cause blurry vision especially the patch. Since I was about 5 days post op I decided to try and stop my meds to see if it helped and after about 36 hours my vision had returned. Yay! However I noticed that my vision stills gets kind of blurry and isn't as good as it was prior to my surgery. Anyone else experiencing this?

I start my pre-op diet in the AM and mine is a liquid diet (800 calories per day) for two weeks before and then clear liquid only the day before. My surgery is Dec 13th and they want me on liquids only for a month after surgery too, so yours sounds about right.

Yeah, you just need to be comfortable with yourself and go for it. As far as the condoms go, I would suggest staying away from the latex ones if they caused you to have a reaction before. They make condoms out of a few different materials, just experiment with different ones (by yourself if you need to or if you're worried about having a negative "reaction" during sex). I have "met" quite a few women that can't use latex condoms, so it's very common to have a reaction to them.

Yeah, men get it too. I always heard "You're a good looking bigger guy". I hate the need for "bigger" as a qualifier to the rest of the statement.

My concern is that I will inadvertently become a conceited d-bag. Ugh. It happened to someone I know that has a lap band.

Yeah, I'll listen to Deadmau5 or any kind of dubstep to workout to.

If you're listening to music right now, what is it? If you're not, then what was the last song you listened to? This could be a fun way to find new music. I'm currently listening to "The Funeral" by Band of Horses. For some reason it plays on my Pandora a lot (not complaining because it's fantastic.)

Here's my story: I had my first appointment with my dr in August and a few weeks later my wife (a bander that recently lost about 80lbs) decided to end our marriage to be with a co-worker. We had a great marriage and it took me by surprise. It was hard because we have two kids and we were married for 9 years. It's a bummer that your best friend could leave you and replace you so quickly, but I'm optimistic about the situation though. I have my surgery next month and I'm glad that I have so many new beginnings happening in my life. Anyone else have any experience with ex's, friends, or family losing a signifcant amount of weight and having a drastic personality change like that?

As the previous poster mentioned, I would have to agree with it being your electrolytes (calcium, magnesium, sodium, potassium etc.) It can be a couple of different lytes that's causing the cramping, but more than likely it's the potassium. A good supplement should contain your daily intake of them all, but if you find it doesn't go away, then see your dr because you may need to increase your intake of a specific lyte more than the daily recommended amount.

Hi, all. I live in Saint Clair Shores and Dr. Harriott is doing my surgery on Dec. 13th. I had my EGD today and I'm very excited to start this new chapter of my life.

I can't wait! I turn 30 in January, so I'm ready to start this new (healthier) chapter of my life.
