Hi! Im Julie I am 3 days post op feeling pretty good. I still have quite a bit of pain on my left side that they warned me about. The drain they give you is terrible!!! There is no sugar coating that little guy! I had my sleeve done at KC Bariatrics. The staff, nurses and doctors are just amazing! They made me comfortable and the process go so smoothly I would do it again in a heart beat. I know the worst part has yet to come but I am looking forward to the new life style. I did two weeks of the liquid diet before hand to prepare and shrink my liver. I did cheat a couple times as I knew that I was still losing weight and it wouldnt 'hurt' me. I knew that once the surgery took place there was no cheating that could happen. I lost 13 before my surgery with the liquid diet. I was very swollen Friday (day after surgery) and I mean swollen. The pain is getting better but still sucks pretty bad. Today I was able to try applesauce and protein shakes but it was to soon for sure. I had a pretty upset stomach. I would get a sharp pain that would take my breathe away by a burp, it was very clear I had a substancial amount of gas still in my stomach so I plan on trying that again on day 5. I am enjoying the expierence trying to follow the guidelines to a T in order to avoid any problems in the future, I havent been hungry for much as they said would happen but[i] I def have gotten bummed a couple times knowing that I cant go eat what I want with my brain telling me that it wants something .... It will pass I have faith! [/i]
