May 2022 Dr. PASTEN ORC- POMPEII
tami88 replied to Texasteacher254's topic in Mexico & Self-Pay Weight Loss Surgery
Hi!!! Congrats on taking the first steps. (From my experience) Good - and others Well organized staff and doctors Felt very taken care of from all areas start to finish. Best thing I did — in order you gain control over food and my health Also: Know it’s a tool. You will have ups and downs. Some not fun and interesting things I did not think about Gas Drain tube taken out - after it was a relief !!! heart burn Seeing how much others can and will eat - for me knowing that’s how I was People will ask you when you do go out: are you not hungry? Waitstaff- everything ok with your food ? certain ppl in your life might get jealous At the end of the day remember this is about your personal goal and health path. You don’t have to explain anything you don’t want. hope that helps Tami -
Hi Sleevers, It's been forever since I've posted. I have been at the same weight for a long time. I'm super close to my goal. I was sleeved 2/13/12. I'm very happy that I had it done. Wish I would have done it sooner. I wanted to get back on track and start losing again. I did the 5 day pouch test. I wasn't sure if was going to work...but it did. I'm super happy with the results. Not only did I lose 6 pounds in 5 days I've gain the feeling of more restriction. I'm getting in 90 grams of Protein now, drinking 64 ounces of Water and really trying to focus on what works best for my sleeve. I know I can maintain my weight. I've done that for months now. But now It finally feels like my goal will happen sooner than later. It's so easy to fall into eating slider foods and taking little bites here and there. (And ice cream sure goes down well too) I've read so many posts about getting on track. It's possible. I planned for about 2 weeks before doing the pouch test. I mentally prepared. If your struggling...pls know you can get back on track and reach your healthy BMI/goal. We all have come so far!!! Let's do this!!

Here you go...5daypouchtest.com It's totally what I needed as well. My restriction is back in full force. I'm so glad I did it. It's a great tool. Keep me posted please!

Feeling Discouraged and Rejected by Family......Need Advice
tami88 replied to ho11ieberry06's topic in Mexico & Self-Pay Weight Loss Surgery
Hi Holly, I personally kept it limited to a few people. The people who love and support you unconditionally are the ones you want in your life. They could just be worried for you but at the end of the day it's your life your journey. Stay confident in your choice. You got this! You'll be looking back soon knowing you made the best choice for YOU! Cheers! -
Hi Ya'll - Wanted to know what your typical day of eating looks like. What are your must have's and what foods do you not eat. What has been working for you and if you have any triggers. I need some new inspiration. I have been stalled for a while. I know I need to cut slider foods, focus on Protein and up my working out. Any suggestions or advice would be AWESOME!! Cheers! Tami

Dr. Alvarez vs Dr. Ariel Ortiz
tami88 replied to cookies-and-cream's topic in Mexico & Self-Pay Weight Loss Surgery
I was torn as well. I ended up choosing Dr. Ortiz at the OCC. The reason why was because of all of his other patients I connected/talked with. Before my surgery I talked with over 75 ppl who went to the OCC. My experience was wonderful. I did not find him to be arrogant at all. I found the staff to be attentive and had excellent care. I keep in touch with others who had the surgery done on the same day as I did. We all wish we had this done sooner. There are many surgeons as you know out there. Take your time and pick the one that you feel the most happy about. -

tami88 posted a topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
Hi Everyone, I wanted to know what your typical eating day looks like. I am looking for new ideas and getting more inspired I am a slow loser and am still happy because I know it will come off it just takes time. I think about what my life would be like if I hadn't had the sleeve and I know I would be heavier and unhappy. I am happy for the most part now just want more fun ideas to keep my slow train a runnin'! -
Yes! I was sleeved by him 2/13. Best choice I have ever made. I am down 40 pounds and 30 to go. Had a wonderful experience!
