All Dr. Garcia's Sleeved Patients, Please Give Your Weightloss Amounts And Timeframes.....thanks!

I was sleeved by Dr. Garcia on Feb 5 2013. I am a little over 7 months out and I have lost 73 pounds. HW: 248 SW: 239 CW: 175 -
Hey folks, So it's been a while since I posted to this forum. It's actually been awhile since I opened this app. I was sleeved my Dr. Garcia Feb 5, 2013. My start weight was 248, surgery weight 239, current weight 205. I am closing in on 11 weeks post op. I have lost a total of 43 pounds including pre-op. 34 pounds since surgery. Everything has been great so far. No complications, a few moments of discomfort but not real problems. I'm learning a lot about my new stomach. I haven't post to this site because I've been busy. And honestly I think that's how it is for other patients. When you are preparing for surgery your main focus is research. So you spend as much time as possible in forums, etc. But once you have had the procedure your focus isn't the forums or research. But more so on following protocol and trying to survive this procedure with no complications. Trust me I know how frustrating it is to be looking for more people with experience. When you are trying to do your research. But believe once you've completed this process. You'll be so focused on doing things right that you forget to check in in blogs and forums. For me I have only been able to focus once a week to my YouTube channel. Which is getting scares. I've gone from 6 min weekly vids to 56 secs weekly videos. There is a lot of sleevers that use YouTube. Maybe you all should follow a few of us to keep posted. Again I post every Tuesday sometimes Wednesday if I'm super busy. If you want to follow me you can. YouTube: poundsofbeauti Instagram: chocol8beauti Kik: srbeauti Feel free to follow me, msg me, support me, etc

Can anyone tell me the caloric intake range that Dr. Garcia wants his patients on? I really don't remember. -
Hey all does anyone know the caloric intake range that Dr. Garcia wants his patients to follow? I can't remember.

Congrats ladies welcome to the losers bench. Make sure y'all tell Dr. Luna that Sade said hello and take good care of you. Lol

My price was $4700. Like it was said before the price depends on what has to be done. I needed no extra work so I had no extra fees.

Neither of them hurts while being removed. The drain feels very weird but doesn't hurt. I honestly only had pain the day of surgery and the day after. Every other day since has been getting better and better. My pain was only during the time I had the drain.
-
The drain is removed the day u are discharged from the hospital. They will give you meds to take with you for pain, antibiotics, and acid reflux. The day before you are scheduled to leave Tijuana. They will come to remove your staples. They will also give you instructions for how to care for your wounds. There isn't anyone at the hotel with you as far as medical goes. But it's really not needed. I personally felt great and did lots of walking. If you do need some sort of help or advice you can have the hotel call them at the hospital for you.

I found out when I arrived. But they didn't tell me my first night only asked me after I checked back in. But it was reversed to my CC with in a week.

I'm feeling great good luck on ur date you'll do fine. I wasn't even nervous I had one little spell but because I watched a video of how the procedure was done right before surgery. But within a few minutes that spell was over. Lol.

Dr. Garcia/ Any Feb 2013 Sleevers Want To Buddy Up?
Sade326 posted a topic in Mexico & Self-Pay Weight Loss Surgery
Hey Everyone, I am also going with Dr. Fernando Garcia, aiming for a Feb 2013 date as well. I have been speaking with him an his staff for over a week now and am pretty confident in my decision. BUT, I have to most likely go alone. Which I REALLY REALLY REALLY don't want to do that. SOOOO, I was hoping there would be someone(persons) that wouldn't mind "buddying" up through this process. I live in the Washington DC/ surrounding areas. So it would be lovely if someone from this area is considering him during the same time. But anywhere is okay I just don't wanna do this alone. If that's cool with anyone we can go through it ll together. If interested let me know what dates because I haven't scheduled yet. Maybe we can exchange contact info. -

I only was nauseous the first night of surgery. Which was probably from the meds. -
