I stalled 10/1 and my weight fluctuated between 301-304. Stall finally broke a couple days ago and hopefully I will have a quick 5-10 drop. However, I'm ecstatic to be out of the 300's (even barely :-)).
Good plan. As the saying goes, "A watched pot never boils". Take your mind off of the weight loss for a few weeks, then hop back on that scale for a sweet surprise!
Wow...you are rocking & rolling! My doctor actually gave me clearance to go back to work a week after surgery, but I just wasn't ready. So I will return 2 weeks post-op. Thank goodness for a desk job otherwise not sure I would still be ready.
I was sleeved on the 17th as well and I know what you mean about the tiredness. After my walks I actually feel energized so I'll run a couple errands, but after about 2 hours or so I have to come home to rest/nap and my doctor wants me to go back to work Thursday. :-(
Isopure drink may be an option for getting in your protein until you get in solids. Also, you may want to try adding unflavored protein to drinks and broth. Hope that helps.
Honestly, I wouldn't take much. I did not need many things. I definitely suggest phone, phone charger, chapstick, flip flops, socks, and hygiene essentials. Keep it simple
Hi my fellow September Sleevers!
I was sleeved on Wednesday, September 17 and was discharged on the 18th. The worse night was the first night in the hospital because I didn't stay ahead of the pain/soreness. Took pain meds last night, but haven't needed any yet.
Thankfully no complications and able to get in my liquids with no issues; however, cold liquids are a little harder going down.
Continue to follow pre-op diet...After surgery stay ahead of pain/soreness. Walking truly helps after surgery. It felt better for me to get up throughout day and move.
You've got this! Any specific questions you have I'll be more than happy to share my experiences with you.
Can't remember which blog I read it on but vaseline/chapstick was a lifesaver!
In the notes on pre-op diet from doctor, they stated to try and drink more fluids if nauseous or dizzy. Possible signs of dehydration. Hang in there, hopefully it will get better.
I'm happy to announce that my surgery went well this morning. No complications, but just a tad bit sore. I've been up and walking and it feels good to move a bit. I go home tomorrow afternoon.
Best of luck to tomorrow's and other September sleevers!
My prayers are with you this morning. Wishing you a speedy recovery. Tomorrow you will be on the other side of the journey and I will in your shoes. We've got this!
