I have struggled with my weight all my life. I can honestly say that I don't ever remember being my ideal size which really makes losing weight and a smaller me hard to visualize. I've tried dieting and Weight Watchers. I had pretty good success on Weight Watchers I lost 75lbs in about 9 months. However, I lost motivation and have gained most of the weight I lost back. I've been thinking about weightloss surgery for a while, but I knew that I did not want to have gastric bypass. After going to a seminar recently, I have convinced myself that I want to have the VSL instead. I've started my research and I'm absolutely glad that I found this group! I know that I will need support, encouragement, and motivation throughout. I have my first doctor's appointment on December 5. So I'm excited to begin the journey, but very nervous!
Update (08.20.14): I did not go to that appointment on December 5. However, I waited and tried to lose weight on my own again. I was not as successful as I had hoped, so I have now begin the journey toward weight loss surgery. I am now waiting approval from my insurance company. Excited!
