    Embarassing...smelly body odor?

Hi Laura-ven, Yes, I am following the stage 3 diet with 2 premier shake, but cant hit 64 oz fluids. So this week I have been upping my fluids which makes me feel full. As a result, i have been eating less, I'm almost back to liquid diet one month out and I am still trying to balance my intake.
  2. Hi Puja, I'm a nurse in the ICu in a teaching hospital and residents carry water bottle, coke, coffee, red bull, fluids (you name it-except alcohol I hope) all the time... They leave their lunch boxes in the breakroom, store food in the fridge, eat and drink all the time, so it shouldn't be an issue for you I hope. Good luck on your residency and cheers to fluids!
  3. what is a troll? or trolling? never mind--- i already googled it. sorry i don't know how to delete this, just disregard please.

    abdominal binder

This is what it looks like, and is a lot cheaper via Amazon than medical stores. http://www.amazon.com/Medline-Universal-Abdominal-Binders-inch/dp/B0021ZKRZ0/ref=sr_1_12?ie=UTF8&qid=1361155899&sr=8-12&keywords=abdominal+binder

    abdominal binder

I am 1 month post-op and I still wear mine when I go to work, and i know i will be active all day, my incision doesn't hurt anymore, but I still like the feel of the binder. . It gives me a little back support too, plus I wear it when i'm working out.

    major itchy incision sites!!!

Look up " incisions itchy and red". I uploaded my incisions photo, I had an allergic reaction from adhesive. Md prescribed hydrocortisone 1%. Lots of people have allergic reaction md said. Benadryl 25mg also helped coz I couldn't sleep at night from itchiness.
  8. You are not alone, I did the same thing too. I got angry and regretted, and asked myself what have i done? but now 1month out, feels like a different me. No more foot pain, knee and back pain. Your body and hormones are all adjusting, hang in there. It will be better! it will be worth it with your new and sexy self down the road!

    Insanity workout

HI loveit222, i am exactly one month out, and did the Fit Test yesterday. I was able to hang except for the last 5 mins push up part. It was 25 mins of intense workout, i knew it was going to be hard coz I haven't done anything like insanity before. But i am using resistance bands on parts i can't do and modifying it if I can. I figured it's worth trying, my heart rate's really up so it's definitely working. good luck. will do day #2 later today, and i'll see if I can hang with the program . P.S. I wear abdominal binder when I do it even if my incisions are healed, i like the support it gives. and MD said okay, as long as I can tolerate it & stop if uncomfortable.
  10. Hi sleeve sister! Same boat as you, about 600 calories. Nice to see you posting & hope you are feeling better everyday

1 month out! Good & bad!

HI Proudgrammy, WOW! I hope a year from now, my profile will say 100 pounds lost GReat Job on that!!! Anyway, on my 1 month follow up, I already had a talk with MD and Nut- they recommended eating 3 meals, with 2 Snacks in between. Especially I am only taking small portions and that would help with my hypoglycemia. I had issues with hypoglycemia prior to surgery so this is not new for me- I still keep my calories but spread throughout the day. I am not limiting them to 600, but still can't eat very much, so I eat until I feel full. MFP is great in tracking it! I am relearning my eating habits bec I am so used to eating very fast and chugging my drinks right after. I still do that and forget sometimes, and the feeling is not very good- I can feel the pressure as the Water goes down, that’s why I wait now & it takes so long to eat esp now im eating soft/solids have to chew well, otherwise I can feel the pressure as it goes down too. BUT it’s getting better, before I used to wait 30mins to drink, and now I can at 10-15 mins and take 2-3 larger sips. If I drink too much its uncomfortable. MD said the minimum for me is 40oz and make sure I drink at least that, otherwise I will end up in trouble- but ultimately, goal is 640z. Thank you for your concern! It's been a long month, and hopefully it gets easier down the road.
  14. I month post op today! Down from 200 to 175. Pant Size 20, now 16 Top 2XL, now L . So the scale stopped moving, but losing inches everywhere. Daily exercise: i run on elliptical 2 miles if I eat good & have energy. If not, I do 1mile, some days I don't have energy so I up my calories to 800 and that seems to work. I started Insanity today, Md okay as long as I can tolerate it. If too much, I modify and use resistance bands. Will see how it goes with 60 day challenge. Good: Protein at least 60oz! Bad: Fluids- hit & miss, lucky is 1L/ day. I cant drink too much at a time. I can't seem to time right with eating, coz seems like I'm always eating. Couldn't hang with 2-3 oz meals, I get dizzy and hypoglycemic so i eat frequently. Which means I couldn't drink Water a lot. I stick to healthy choices, low carb, High protein. Tracking calories on mfp, average is 600. HOW DO YOU Consume 64 oz with eating in between? Wish scale would move, but realize it won't until I hydrate and it's a work in progress! Now my goal is like the 1st week ---- sip--drink drink drink!

    starvation mode?

HI JP, I am in the same boat as you, can't take more than 1/2 otherwise it feels like food will come back up. And water/fluids is challenging coz I have to wait, otherwise it feels weird going down. I had surgery with Dr. Robert Li, and Dr. David Le saw me post op. How nice to see another KP patient. I had my surgery 1/16/13.
  16. Count me in! Hw: 200 Surgery weight 1/16/13 190 Current weight : 175 Goal weight by AFD: 155 Oh dear! Pressure's on

    January Newbies ! Progress ?

Weight 200 Dos 190 Now 176 Surgery date: 1/16 I could only sip very little for a long time, couldn't eat more than 2 oz. BUT this week has been the most improved both drinking and eating.I can finally drink 64 oz, and get 60g ( 2 premier protein). I can tolerate solid/soft food as long as I use food processor or purée it. Almost pain free, so been doing the elliptical this week for 2 miles/45 mins. This is milestone for me!!! Could only last 20 minutes before, very slowly! Now i am running 2 miles! No more knee/foot/ plantar fasciitis pain!!! Md said pace activity as comfortable. Plus doing resistance bands everyday. Scale stopped moving so I'm thinking need to up my activity level. And keep drinking liquids and protein. Inches are coming off, clothes are loose, but it would be nice to see scale move reading everyone losing massive weight is sooo motivating! And I realize I need to move my ass to be a skinny bi#&! Lol
