Good luck! I'll be praying for you. -
You might need to talk to your doctor about that. I remember my doctor asking me if I had any pain in my legs. Good luck and I hope it gets better soon.

I was told it took 6 weeks for your stomach to heal. I hope that's right.

2 week liquid diet killing me help.
I love my dachshunds replied to Stanley Brundidge Jr.'s topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Good luck with your diet. It is difficult but try not to over do the cheats. After the surgery you won't be able to because the possibility of a leak is to great. I will be praying that it will get easier. -
I am a little over 5 weeks post-op and I have lost 25 lbs. that includes 5lbs. pre-op. I had been on a two week stall and yesterday morning the scale finally moved again. Don't get discouraged, it will happen.

Exhausted, sick frequently and scared, help!

Sounds to me like gluten intolerance. I have it and all of your symptoms are associated with a gluten intolerance. I would definitely go gluten free and make sure that's what it is. Anemia is a symptom also. Good luck in finding the source of your problems. -
I think my scale is broken

I also didn't tell anyone but my grown kids, my husband and my best friend. I didn't need anyone telling me that I shouldn't do the surgery when I had already tried every diet under the sun and failed. My health was simply going down hill, so it was pretty much my last option. I had my surgery on December 5 and I haven't had any problems. I did what my doctor said and I have not rushed things. After hearing some of the terrible stories about leaks and eating too much and being sick, no way. I ate about a 1/2 of a scramble egg this morning being careful to go slow and chew, chew, chew. I eat potato soup, beans mashed a little with mozzarella cheese melted on top. Just don't eat very much, a couple of table spoons. I have lost 25lbs and I am glad I made the decision to be a healthier me. Good luck the both of you with your surgeries and keep us posted. -

2 days post op.

Hang in there, it will get better. -
You will get a lot of support here. I did and was grateful for it. Sounds like your husband is trying the best he can. You will mourn food because I do. These are all normal feeling and we all have them. Just know that you will get lots of support and encouragement here. I was sleeved December 5 and have lost 23lbs and have had no problems. Just do what your doctor says and don't try and rush it. Congratulations on your decision for a healthy life.

Finally looking forward to a new year! Post-Opt months! SLEEVER

This was a very good post!! You are an inspiration for future sleevers who are scared and nervous. Congratulations on your success and future healthy life. -
Very well said. I found if you do exactly as your doctor says, and don't try to rush things, then you will be ok.

I know how you feel. I tried every diet under the sun and nothing was working for me. I would lose some then gain it back plus some. I had decided I could not do it by my self. There are times when I really miss eating when everyone else does but like I said you just have to stay focused on your health and know its the right thing.

I had my surgery on December 5 and I am so ready to be able to eat!! I am really liking being 20 lbs lighter though. It's a toss up between the two evils. Being over weight and eating what you want and being thin and eating less food. You can't have both, unfortunately. I just try to stay focused on the future picture when I'll be thinner and will be able to eat what I want, just less of it. I'm just tired of liquids and blended up foods. I know it's my mind telling me that real food would be better.

My Journey So Far
I love my dachshunds replied to t3max's topic in Tell Your Weight Loss Surgery Story
Actually I'm doing really good. I go tomorrow for my one week check up. I did start blended foods today. I was really tired of broth. I have been staying busy with housework being very careful not to lift anything heavy. Puréed food or better tan broth, but I'm ready for some soft foods. I have been careful to only drink as much as I'm supposed too, 1oz every 15 minutes. My incisions are still a little sore but it's a lot easier to turn over in bed. I'm glad your doing better. -

Today Is My Day! Ready...
I love my dachshunds replied to simplejaxgirl's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I am now 5 days post-op and am feeling a lot better. I haven't had a bowel movement and that kinda concerns me. I felt well enough to load the dishwasher, do a little laundry and just general picking up. I know I'm not getting all my fluids and protein yet, but that is so difficult but I'm trying. I can't wait until my second week so I can have something different to drink. My soarness is not as bad. I can turn over and get up a little easier. I will keep everyone updated. -
