Day 2 for me too. I'm exactly the same. Doing good but the nausea and dry heaves are terrible!

    Thinking..

I've had all of these thoughts and fears. I think it is pretty normal to have fears about the unknown, which is what us pre-sleevers are facing. I smiled when I read, "i want the end result, but I don't wanna be miserable" because I'm already miserable. I'm miserable every time I shop for clothes. I'm miserable every time I put on my swim suit. I'm miserable every time I sit down to eat and I inhale the table. I'm miserable when I feel like I'm out of control every time I put food into my mouth. I'm miserable wondering if there will ever be a way out of this fat body. I'm miserable every time I try to diet and gain every bit of weight back plus more. I've finally decided that I don't want to be miserable any more. I refuse to be a slave to food any longer in my life. It is scary, but staying the way I am now is even scarier for me. I'm done and I'm moving forward! Good luck in your journey, whatever you decide. Know that there are others just like you- including me.

    Two Days

Getting sleeved Tuesday too! More excited than nervous at this point. I'm sure I'll have some jitters on Tuesday though! Seems like everyone has slightly different diets, but most do have clear liquids one or two days before surgery, and nothing at all past midnight day before surgery. Definitely call your Dr. if you are questioning your prep diet. You want to be totally prepared. Good luck Tuesday!!

Heading To Mx In The Morning!

Luck, luck, and more luck! See you tomorrow. It's really happening for us!
  11. Heading to Mexico tomorrow for Tuesday surgery! I can't believe it is finally here. Pre-Op diet has gone well....I've already lost 6 pounds! It makes me question myself a bit, thinking why can't I lose this weight without surgery? Anyone else experienced this? I'm just so ready to be healthy and normal weight again. Not willing to sacrifice any more time to obesity and all it brings. I'm really thankful to everyone on this board for sharing their stories and struggles- it makes mine easier. Send me happy thoughts, positive vibes, good karma, and prayers for my surgery day and new life!

    Well Hello Anxiety....

I'm 9 days preop and having all the same anxiety. My hubby assures me that this is normal. I've been trying to focus on how great it's going to be to wear normal sizes again and not have to shop in the Plus Size section, and being able to pose proudly for pics instead of ducking when I see a camera. Can't wait for Onederland! Life after surgery is going to be fantastic! :-) That's what's helping me through all of the anxiousness. Almost there.....
  13. This is exactly what I am doing. I'm an hour from SD. Surgery scheduled for Dec 4. I'll be using one of the long term parking areas near the airport and shuttle from there to airport for pickup. I didn't want to hassle with border crossings or border parking. Seemed easier and more secure to go the airport route. I'll have to let you know about how it goes for my hubby at the hospital. I've heard only positive feedback about customer service regarding travel from hotel to hospital and back, as well as for support people who stay at the hospital. I don't know personally about the passport cards because I've always used the book, but they are supposed to work just like passport books. Good Luck with all of your plans!
