  1. At 5 months out I had 3 attacks over the space of a week. Horrible, horrible, horrible attacks lasting no longer than 2 hours. I had an ultrasound and I have gallstones however I have not had any attacks for 2 months so I've decided along with my surgeon to have a "wait and see approach" - I have been told that the attacks can be an isolated event and then never happen again. The reason I dont want my gallbladder out is the side effects after - I dont want to **** my pants if I treat myself one day and have a fatty meal. Healthcare is free here in New Zealand though so I can be a bit more liberal in my decision.
  2. Wow you all look AMAZING. I was sleeved on the 6th November and down 93lbs. 15lbs to goal. I still look in the mirror and see the same person but I think that's because I never realised how big how I was. I have had two people recently who do not recognise me. Makes me sad! My pics are attached - the after pic is from 6 weeks ago, so not super recent. keep up the good work everyone
  3. One thing that u might want to take into consideration though is that there is a possibilty that you will HATE your wedding pics when u get to goal ... I shudder at all my pics up until now at 6 1/2 months out. Good luck with the wedding and FYI I went to a wedding at 7 weeks out - ate dinner, ate cake, and had 2 glasses of wine and danced the night away

I HAVE NEVER HIT A STALL

I am 6 months out weigh daily and never experienced a stall. I'm glad but I reckon it evens itself out in the end anyway!
  5. 6 months out down over 90lbs. 17 more to go. Aiming for GW at 9 months

    6 months pics

You look soooo good! What was your starting weight and how far are u from goal?
  11. Water crackers were on my 3 weeks on puree stage. 2 max.
  12. Personally I found the first 5 days the hardest. Not so much pain ... more nausea and a generally "yucky" feeling from the aniesthetic. After that I felt completely normal and able to care for my 5 month year old alone. I think you should be fine provided no complications. Many go back to work after a week. Good luck ... you are about to go on an awesome ride !!

    excess skin

Oh and I also used cocoa butter on my stomach day and night for the first 6 months. Helps with skin tightening as well as stretch marks and incision sites.

I only just went for walks for the first month or two. It wasnt till about 3 months post op I started strength training. Some of it u wont even need a trainer e.g. static lunges, squats, sit ups. I use 5kg weights for my arms - that was my problem area! Im sure u can google some basic exercises although my trainer does keep me motivated helps that he is cute too!

    excess skin

I have lost 90lbs (15 more to go). Zero loose skin ... I have been strength training twice a week in addition to cardio and that really helps tone and transform your body

    after weight loss period

You can have anything in moderation if that is what works best for you. I am still losing (close to goal).and have cake occasionally - a very small slice for birthdays weddings etc. Same goes for ice-cream but its easy to eat a lot of so its a trap ... I go out to eat frequently and I usually just order an entree or appetiser or a Soup that is mainly Protein. Waste of money though as I never even finish half. I like to order platters with my partner that we both share so people who dont know I have had surgery dont pick up on the fact I have eaten next to nothing. And alcohol is different for everyone but for me its the same as before except I sober up quicker and the hangovers are terrible! I drink a lot less these days but when I do I like to go a bit crazy.
