  1. I'm onto the last 15lbs - 7 months out. Weight loss has definately slowed down now (1lb a week). For me tracking on my fitness planner and keeping up with the exercise as well as strength training to build muscle are key. But I'll let you know when I get to goal!

    Before and after (well during)

Fantastic! You look like a different person! I was sleeved 2 months before you and still 15lbs till goal ... I'm finding the weight loss has really slowed now! Grrrr. Anyways you look great - not flabby at all as you mentioned, and you cant even see your scars at all!

    100 Pounds Down!

You're beautiful! Keep up the great work
  4. No not always. Only if you experience attacks that become frequent. My doc said its 50/50 with WLS patients. If not then no point in fixing something that isnt broken + there are some possible nasty side effects from having it removed.

    Plateau

Aim for 1000 cal, lots of protein, up the water and keep up the exercise
  6. I waited 6-7 weeks. Had 2 glasses of wine over 8 hours. No difference to pre-op apart from I just sipped. Now 7 months out I can drink like before, except I do very rarely due to the fact I need to drink A LOT to feel anything, not worth the cals!

I think there is a few factors re: loose skin. Age, genetics, how long you have been overweight/obese, where you carried your weight, exercise, and rate of loss. The use of tightening lotions could prob be argued also. I'm only 26, I've yo-yo'd my whole life, I was fat all over, and I worked out with a PT from 2 months out and will continue to till I get my body fat % right down. I'm still at 34%. I also used tightening lotions day and night. Nothing special I did, just lucky I guess - and also women are designed to stretch and have babies!

Are you tracking what you are eating? How many cals per day?

    Hershey Kiss?

You had ONE hersheys kiss ... you should be patting yourself on the back for showing restraint and having just ONE! If you feel bad walk out to your letterbox and back; you'd have burned it off by then
  11. I never thought I would post a success story as I deleted my every "before pic" that was horrible. But I found this goodie on an old laptop tonight. Ewww. First pic was taken a few months pre-surgery and second was taken last weekend. I will be 6 months out on the 6th of April - and am down 84lbs with 24lbs to go! Woo-hoo. No major complications, and I am loving life! Weeks leading up to my surgery all I was obsessed with watching youtube videos and forum pics of success stories, so thought I would share some of the love back and I can't wait to see how I look after a year!
