    Sprite

I was told by my NUT carbonated is fine after 3 months so if it makes u feel good go for it.
  2. It could be considered starvation for someone beginning with a BMI of 20 ... but let's face it - we all have a lot of fat to be eaten up.
  3. I was sleeved on the 6th Novrmber. Down 50lbs. Your weight loss is fantastic for a low BMI!! I dont think you need to change a thing!! Maybe re-evaluate after you go through a stall? I also have no restrictions on carbs. I do try to keep them low but I often have bread or cereal for breakfast. Cutting them out completely is setting yourself up for long term failure in maintenance stage

    breakfast

Special K high protein cereal ... or a 1 egg omelette with cheese ham and onion .... or extra thin multigrain toast with peanut butter

    Drinking Alcohol

At 2 months out I had 3 glasses of wine in 1 evening. No difference.

    Alcohol?

I had a glass of wine 7 weeks out at Xmas - went down fine. Since then I have had gin and low cal cranberry at a wedding and 3 glasses of wine at new years eve. It does not affect me at all. Don't get tipsy or anything. All gets logged onto my fitness planner and still manage to stay within my calorie limit After the silly season is out of the way I don't see myself wasting empty calories on alcohol! Just know your limits and you'll be fine
  7. I eat them now - 2 months out. I concentrate on protein first when eating a salad leaving not much room for the greens but have a small piece of fruit most days as a snack.
  8. I eat cereal every morning - I eat Special K (it's very high in protein). My NUT has no carb restrictions so it was on my plan 3 weeks out. The rest of the day is generally pure protein eggs or meat. I also can eat (10 weeks out) extra thin multi grain double toasted bread. I don't and prob won't ever eat popcorn. But I could prob eat a handful now if I wanted.
  9. Sleeved on the 6th. Down 49lbs. I am fairly active and plan to do a half marathon in a few months but haven't started full training just yet so I play tennis and go for long walks most days.
  10. BMI of 40 I lost 23lbs first month.

    SUTURE REMOVAL

I had stitches - my surgeon says they heal the best that way as they really tighten together the scars. 8 weeks out and I can hardly see my scars now. I wouldn't take them out myself though unless u have medical experience - that's like waxing yourself!
  15. I was told by my surgeon that literature shows that the average for the VSG excess weight lost is somewhere between 60-70%. I would love to lose 100% of mine! It's what I paid 17k for! So what's your percentage of excess weight lost? I am currently 8 weeks out and down 43% of my excess weight. Love to hear from those that are at goal!!

IS IT TRUE AFTER 6 MONTHS

From the graph my surgeon showed me of his own patient trends the weight loss def slows down at 6 months but also shows a decline of up to 2 years with a slight increase of weight at the end. His advice was to make the most of the first 6 months

    Yoga?

Absolutely! Go for it! Great for toning and core but make sure you mix it up with some cardio too

    any November sleevers?

You weren't told to stay away from bread, pasta, rice for a while? I am not allowed to eat till 9 months post op as they expand in your stomach and stretch sleeve. Also not allowed Protein Bars until 3 months out as too harsh on the stomach. No soda also till 3 months. Great job on the loss

    any November sleevers?

No from what I hear it doesn't start till at least 3 months out. I have very thick hair so some thinning out will save me a trip to the hairdressers!

    any November sleevers?

I think the losing the hair thing is similar to loose skin. You either get it or you don't - it's down to luck or its just inevitable and there is nothing you can do to stop it. Just my theory!!!

    any November sleevers?

I was sleeved on the 6th. Down just under 50lbs. Eating lots of eggs and all types of meats (chicken, fish, beef, pork, lamb - all sit fine) with small amounts of veggies and fruits. Don't do protein shakes or bars as my NUT prefers me to eat my protein. The transition to regular foods has been pretty easy!! Haven't thrown up or had any problems yet

    Anybody familiar with thai food?

Thai can be very healthy and was one of my favorite takeouts pre surgery! .... but I don't think curry is a "healthy" choice! It's made with coconut cream! With the addition of rice it's also high carb. Non creamy soups are a good choice and they also do a lot of stirfrys (meat and veggies). Thats prob ur best option
  23. SleeveNZ

    Fruits

I'm 2 months post op and now allowed fruit. (you just have to be careful with fruits with skins to start and try just eat the flesh). 1 small piece would be max allowance per day as u want to concentrate on protein at this stage Lots of eggs, and all types of meat with a few vegies makes up the majority of my diet.
  24. 7 months post op most definitely go to Disneyland!! You will find something to eat there and if not pack a couple of protein bars just in case
  25. Also work in HR. Try a bit harder to find clothes that fit and don't skip handshake!! Both in my opinion would be considered unprofessional. Good luck!!
