I had tomato soup from day 3. Was a lifesaver

    Salads

2 months post op for salad - eat the protein first though!! The lettuce is generally just for decoration for me
  4. She never said she wasn't allowed rice .... read again. I said on MY plan I wasn't allowed it for 9 months so surely at 4 weeks it's too soon for it.
  5. Beans and chicken are fine. Just take it easy. I'm not allowed rice for 9 months. You should prob just be sticking to 90-95% Protein at this stage
  6. What do u mean by "regular" foods ..... ?? Give examples of food you are consuming right now. Or do u mean you aren't pureeing?
  7. Yes that would be fine its nice when u can eat with everyone else Don't skip the sauces as it might be too dry for your sleeve without. Just ask for low fat mayo or a healthier alternative.

    Am I the only one?

I think everyone has doubts at some point on their journey. Good thing is that if you stick to your plan - then it's 99% guaranteed that you will lose A LOT of weight!! Relax and enjoy the journey and know that it will happen for you - and a taste every now and then won't hurt or going over 20g carbs one day. I personally don't restrict my carbs too much as I need them for the types exercise I do.
  9. My dream bod right there! ..... How is your skin?

    hubby/wifey

My partner paid for the surgery himself!!! This was after I came up with the suggestion of getting WLS.... very much for it, he wanted the sexy girl back that he met 4 years ago!! We plan to get married next year and I'm gonna look damn good walking down that aisle!!

    Bread...?

My NUT instructions were 9 months for bread but ALWAYS avoid very fresh bread ... and 2 months for extra thin double toasted multigrain bread.

    Lump in throat

I had this too!! It's from the tubes. Mine went after about 2 weeks.
  13. I was self pay and agree it was worth every cent at just under 3 months out. For those of you that were self pay - I am curious to see the difference in rates in different countries. I am in New Zealand and mine was just over 14K USD. That includes compulsory surgeon and NUT consultations for up to 2 years. Curious to see how much they charge in Asia, UAE, and of course the controversial Mexico!!

Alcohol and 2 weeks post op!

I was a US 12 when I was sleeved. I also had a BMI of near 40 .... I carry weight extremely well - mainly in legs. Now at 220lbs people refer to me as "skinny". I'm 5"9 BTW.
  15. That's a massive loss!! Dont second guess yourself - you are only 2 months out and very close to being in the 100's!! Keep in mind people also include pre op diet in their numbers also. I started at 278 pre op weight now I am 220. Sleeved 7th. I think I am doing fine - and you have lost more than me I honestly wouldnt want to lose at a faster rate due to skin probs. I also exercise everyday .... and have not had any stalls since week 1. What will be will be!!

    carbs

I have no carb restrictions - but if you follow post-op guidelines it's pretty hard to get them that high!!

    Incisions

    Great idea!!
  18. 11 weeks out. Can eat anything. Yet to decide whether it's a good or bad thing!!

    Chips?

That's great - I have lost the same at 11 weeks out. What was your beginning BMI? Only reason I am asking these questions is surely your body must be in total starvation mode!!! Wondering how much it slows down weightloss ...

    Chips?

So I'm curious now ..... how many weeks then till you can progress to pureed/soft foods? How much weight have you lost? 4 months liquid diet .... I dunno whether I would have gone through with the surgery if I knew that!

Did you have post op problems?
