I feel out-of-control like a complete failure-disappointed- frustrated! I was sleeved November 14, 2013 and starting in the summer after my son graduated high school all of my old habits have come back.... My weight-loss has stopped. My exercising has decreased. My eating discipline is completely gone ! I graze all day long! I'm just trapped in this mental circle! I really expected myself to be able to do this I am so so disappointed in myself!!!!!

Wow 100 lbs!! That's awesome! Some people have posted about skin brushing- I am not quite sure what it is but I think it's scrubbing the skin with an abrasive tool I use a scratchy oversized cloth I got from Walmart for $2.50.. I have noticed much difference other then my skin is softer!

I think the amount you consume depends on how far out you are from surgery. I personally feel you must remove the triggers to get some kind of control. If you are truly hungry feed your body some type of protein- I have tried drinking skim milk and waiting to see if that helps. 3 meals is what my NUT told me to aim for- since grazing will lead to weight gain. As you can tell that hasn't been what I've done lately! On a good day a Protein shake made with milk for breakfast- lunch about 2oz chicken breast chopped up in lettuce tomato carrots, with regular salad dressing- dinner 3oz pork chop with green Beans and about 1/4c of mashed pot. If hungry in between some Greek yogurt! I think I feel hungry when I am truly just thirsty... I have read that if you have all of your protein in for the day and you still feel hungry, drinking something will help. Be prepared have high protein food in your house. So when you go for something it will satisfy you longer. The sugar craving are getting better for me with each day I avoid them!

No junk food is great! Remember one day at a time!

Hello November 2012 sleevers! How is everyone? Do you plan on doing anything for your surgiversary? It's been a roller coaster journey for me.... I have had moments of unable to even think of consuming enough to wanting to eat everything wrong.... I have had moments of pure laziness wanting to sleep all day to moments of obsessiveness to get in exercise! Almost a year out I can still say I am very happy I have this tool! I am disappointed that I haven't reached my goal weight, however I am off the medications I once needed and have lost 55lbs!!!

Thank you! I am happy to say that I made it yesterday without any junk food/candy! One day at a time is all my brain can take- better eating goals to come! I did set a fitness goal! -

I have also been struggling- I just confessed on the confession thread a few days ago- it actually has helped me! I realized something had triggered my regression. It was a multitude of very emotional things over the month of June. I didn't realize that I wasn't handling things well and everything wasn't bad stuff.... I have decided to forgive myself first- and take one day at a time! Today try to avoid the junk food, make sure you get your Protein and Water in! Just focus on one day- I am on my second day of trying to just avoid the junk food and I am happy that I did it yesterday! Stay in touch! We need each other!

I am RTRM (mammographer). It was partly my patients that helped me make my decision to have my sleeve done! Seeing first hand many, MANY very overweight and obese women telling me how their" weight gain got worse the older they got"! I have had to help young women in their 50's unable to stand undress themselves- I have heard countless stories of health problems caused from obesity! It's different when you hear it from the skinny news anchor or even your own doctor. Most of these women have no reason to discuss what they do with me however they do and I have been listening.... I had the surgery I have lost 55lbs since my surgery on 11-14-12. I have been struggling lately but I am trying to get back in the groove!

Thank you for the encouragement! After rereading my post and all of the others- I think it is something deeper! My husband changed jobs within the same company but a new location- my son graduated and my oldest daughter can home from the Air Force ( we hadn't seen her in 2 years! ) then had to leave again.... Then my father in law passed away very unexpectedly the day after Father's Day! Emotional overload.... Then July is usually difficult, my deceased daughters birthday.... I thought I was coping ok- I guess not! Thanks again this has given me incite!

I confess that I haven't lost any weight since April and I have eaten everything that I shouldn't be eating! pizza -crackers -chicken pot pie -noodles candy- ice cream and so on.... I confess that I have not exercised the way I need to and I feel like crap because of it... I confess that I have not been taking my Vitamins the way I'm supposed to & some days I don't take any at all.... I confess that I canceled my last appointment and I haven't rescheduled it with my surgeon... I confess that I am disappointed in myself! My surgery was November 14, 2012 and I have failed terribly! -

Everyone looks great! And more important sounds like you all feel great!!!! I also feel good! I have hair loss still but I attribute it to not always getting my protein. I haven't lost as much as all of you my start weight the day of surgery was 227- now it's 175. I had hoped to be down more but hoping wont do anything, only action will! I am very happy I did it! -
Just checking in since I hit 6month post op may 14th! I can't believe it's already been 6 months! I am happy I did it! I haven't lost much more weight since I last posted, disappointed in myself for some of my bad habits I have retained! Still trying to get in enough protein, water and of course exercise! I have lost 50lbs so far!

That is awesome!!! Keep up the great work! What's your typical day like with exercise and food?
-
I posted awhile back about struggling.... I have some days where I do ok, but most days I do horribly! I haven't even made the vitamin change let alone the food and exercise changes! I feel like I have gone through this life changing surgery and I am still that impulsive lazy eater that can't get motivated and follow through! First it was a little valentine candy now it's a lot of Easter candy!!! The only good thing is I haven't gained any weight but haven't lost in awhile also. I have 13 pounds to lose to get to my doctors goal (my first goal) then I have 30 more for my final goal. I am feeling like such a failure:(

Lemon in the Water will help, with water retention .... And fresh green peppers also help with water retention
