I never had that, but I hear people talk about it a lot. I was hoping I wouldn't like chocolate so much after I was sleeved. No luck! I just keep it out of the house.

12 days post op. Protein and sleep question.
Kelsan replied to Jhconnection's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Also try an unflavored protein (I have unjury) and add a little powder to the food you're eating. -
I would try and up the protein intake to about 70+ (try myfitnesspal.com to help keep track) and also the water. Good luck and hope you feel better soon.

Thanks for your story! Please check back in with us to say how things are going.

I use Premier (30g) and then if I'm low on my protein for the day I'll put the Premier rtd shake in a blender with a scoop of Unjury unflavored powder and a 1/2 banana + ice. That will get me about 55g of protein and a different flavor.

A plateau at 3 weeks out? What gives?
Kelsan replied to ChefEm624's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
I'm at the same point myself Chef. I lost about 25lbs the first three weeks and now, two weeks later the scale still has not moved. I also eat about 600 cals a day and I'm trying not to freak out. Good luck and I hope these scales start moving soon for both of us!!! -

I'm five weeks post op and I lost twenty-five pounds the first few weeks. However, the scale has not moved in two weeks and I'm getting worried! -
I think people like the fact that it is so high in protein. A lot of people flavor it with sugar free syrups.

You'll be fine! The good thing about a support group is you're all in the same boat with important things in common. Feel free to just hang out and listen and maybe next time you'll feel more comfortable.

I would stay away from it, especially if it's one of your trigger foods.

Just keep pushing along and you'll be great. What will be, shall be. Good luck with everything!!! -
My surgeon wanted me to lose all the weight I could prior to surgery. Per doctors orders, I did one week pre-op liquid diet. I see no harm in doing your own diet prior to surgery, it will only put you that much closer to your goal weight. Also, it will shrink you liver which will make surgery easier for you doctor. Good luck with everything.

TT and thighs at the same time?
Kelsan replied to Lauren4fun's topic in Plastic & Reconstructive Surgery
I would want them done at the same time too, even if it is more painful. Whatever your surgeon thinks is best. Keep us posted. -
My doctor said he wanted me walking two miles a day (4 weeks post op) and to work up to more miles. It sounds like you're doing great to me.

Some people just have not empathy for others. I'm sure chubby people aren't the only group they talk badly about. It's their personality and I feel sorry for people like that. -
You'll just get through it. I would keep doing what you're doing. Really small sips. My tummy felt like it was full of air and when I drank something, it felt like it was competing for space. It stopped feeling that way about four days post-op
