Anyone Use Dr. Huacuz In Tijuana?
midwifeshannon posted a topic in Mexico & Self-Pay Weight Loss Surgery
I have decided I want to get the gastric sleeve procedure sometime in the spring and I am looking at surgeons. Dr. Huacuz was recommended to me. Anyone have any feedback on him? Thanks. -
I have been researching and calling around and I think I have it narrowed down to two surgeons, but leaning more towards Dr. Garcia. Any reviews on him? Would live to hear about experiences. I sent a long list of questions and everyone was answered and I have been very pleased so far, but before I pay the deposit I wanted to see what experiences people have had. Thanks!

My surgery date is March 20 with Dr. Garcia. My husband has to stay with our kiddos so have a friend who is hoping to come with me. -
How Much Did Price Affect Your Decision?

Is he the one that practices with Huacuz? Be sure to check. There is a surgeon who is under Huacuz with a similar name and that's the pa have they offer. Huacuz has several bad reviews out there. I had a friend who used him for lap and in 2009 and had a wonderful experience so I looked at him first. After the reviews I read and the odd conversation with Rossy I have no desire to use him. I am going through ready4achange and using Dr. Fernando Garcia in Tijuana in March. Good luck as you work on choosing a surgeon! -
When you lose a lot of weight rapidly it does a number on your estrogen/progesterone which can cause you to have spotting, discharge, longer periods, etc.

Dr Garcia Tijuana Patient Stats?
midwifeshannon replied to TAB2012's topic in Mexico & Self-Pay Weight Loss Surgery
I asked alma all the questions and I was told one fatality in the last two years due to a preexisting condition. And one leak in the last two years that was resolved four hours after surgery. Those answers came from the doctor. Also Alma said rooms are private rooms. It's tough putting something this big in the hands of people and a surgeon we don't know. Just have to trust our guts and go with who feels the best for our situation. -
Anyone have a date in March? Booked my date today for March 20 with Dr. Garcia in Tijuana.

I am 340 and have scheduled my date for March 20th with Dr. Garcia. It's so encouraging to see the weight loss some of you have had. Great job on the work!

I sent an email to Mexico bariatric center about dr. Lopez and they won't book for him any longer. They said he isn't a good doctor. It seems fishy. How did you book him? Where are you coming from to go? -

I am planning on going in March, but haven't set my mind to which surgeon yet. I am a midwife so I have to schedule it between due dates. -

I just got messaged back from a group in Tijuana that Lopez is associated with and they say he isn't giving his patients the care they deserve. Any feedback?
