    NSV

Yep, she's one if my best friends and she knows I always struggled with it so I would ask her to turn me around away from the mirror. This time was different. She spun me around and I said no. I'm not ashamed anymore! I cried telling my hubby this story.

    NSV

Yay! Down 32lbs since surgery Nov 7th and I just went to my hairdresser and wasn't disgusted having to look at myself in her mirror for an hour.

2 Day Stall during Full Liquids?

Step away from the scale!!! 2 days is not a stall, it is a fluctuation. Put your scale away. Continue to do what you're doing and the weight will fall off! The number on the scale is not the only number to worry about! Blood pressure, cholesterol, glucose, pant size etc all count too. Stress will stop you from losing so fast so HIDE THAT SCALE! You'll do fine!
  4. I'm 5'4" and want to be under 150. I don't care how far under, just under 150.
  5. I don't think 30 pounds in six weeks is losing slowly. I've lost 31 pounds in eight weeks and I don't think that's slow! You didn't start out as big as some other people (neither did I. My BMI was 35.6) so you can't expect to lose as quickly as some people who have 200+ pounds to lose.

    Wal-Green's commercial?

Oops hit send too soon. My husband rewinds that commercial every time it's on because it makes him laugh so much! The look on that lady's face is hilarious. Little does he know how close he had come to that commercial!

    So Tired

I was exhausted for the first four or five weeks but eventually it came back. Day by day I found I could stay up past 6pm! It's normal. You're pushing too hard. You have just had major surgery and you are not eating right. Give it some time.

    Internal stitch peaking out!

I had it happen. I just cut it off and was fine.

    WOW Hello Restriction Pain

Ugh sliming is worse! Glad you realized your restriction is good, sorry you found out the way you did. That pain is awful. The first time I felt it I thought I was dying!

    Gall bladder meds

Wait! What? That is NOT slow. I was 214 day if surgery Nov 7th and now I'm 185. You've lost 40lbs in less than two months! I'm not sure what you were expecting but that is far from slow weight loss! My doctor didn't give me any meds for gallbladder and so far so good.

    Possible leak?

Do you have your gallbladder? Could be that. Could be gas. Highly unlikely it's a leak. If it continues or gets worse get in touch with your doctor.

    4 Wks Post Op Miserable

Oh god Lux! I was hoping for good news, as I am sure you are too! Please keep us updated and good luck with everything. I really hope this all turns around for you soon.
  14. Not to be preachy but you really have to be paying attention to what you are doing to be successful with the sleeve. It is just a tool, not a cure! Measure your meals and only give yourself 1/2 cup or 3/4 cup at a time. That way you won't briefly forget while you are watching TV. Make an effort to sit down at a table and really pay attention to what you are eating and how you are feeling. Don't dwell on what's done, just change it on the future. Also, you may not feel the restriction while on liquids. When you move to solids you will hopefully find that you fill up much quicker with the dense Proteins.

    Pain med

You can take anything but if you choose ibuprofen just be sure to take it with food.
  16. Cataro are you swallowing the big pills? I had a pill get stuck once and slimed for hours after, it was awful! That may have been your problem. It could also have been the smell of the peas but I doubt that would have made you slime. Cut your pills in half for a while.
  17. I'm in! HW = 230 SW = 214 (11/7/12) CW = 185 Goal for 4/1/13 = 165 Love these mini challenges!

    tiredness catching up!

You've had major surgery and you are not eating anything. You are bound to be tired! It was three weeks before I could go all day without a nap, and I was eating all my Protein in. It's only been six days and your body is in serious shock ^^^ to the girl above me, if you are seriously dehydrated you shouldn't be waiting until Monday to get an IV started! You can do serious damage to your kidneys if you stay too dehydrated for too long. Call your doctor now and ask them what they think you should do.

5 weeks out and weird pain?

Sounds like your interior sutures are healing. I wouldn't worry too much until the pain is constant.
  20. suzthebrit

    nightmares?

It's hormones. If the same thing happened when you were pregnant you can relate it absolutely to your hormones. After this surgery your hormones are completely out of whack so that's probably what's doing it. Not much you can do about it other than wait for your hormones to regulate.
  21. That's called sliming and that means you've eaten too much, too bigger bites or too quickly. Or you could've eaten something that doesn't agree with you! I did it yesterday with black peppered chicken. It was so good and I ate one bite too many!

    Trouble swallowing

I'm not sure it's dangerous. I've been taking full pills since day 1. It's really uncomfortable if they get stuck and you will slime something fierce but it will eventually dissolve. My hubby bought me a pill cutter at Rite Aid and its been great. Nothing stuck since then.
  23. You are a whole piece of toast? At three weeks! Im 7 weeks out and can only eat half a slice of toast without throwing it all up! You'll be fine. Just rein yourself in now and stick to your plan.
