Three c- sections - last one was January 2012, sleeved November 2012 - no problems at all. Sleeve is much easier than section - sore for around 4-6 days post sleeve, then good to go!

I have said this many times this week. It seems my capacity is different each time and it just takes that one bite to ruin it..I'm happier without food than with at this point.
-
I was sleeved on 11/28 too - today the nausea is really bad ;(. The idea of eating is making me gag, so weird because I've had no problems at all.

I'm doing well! 13 days out - first weigh in is Wednesday! Erica is great - she is not my post sleeve NUT, but I have sought her advice before regarding nutrition. She is very knowledgable! -

Sleeved by dr. Foote in grand haven on nov 28! -
I am only 10 days post op, but I have the mirena and typically never have a period. I've not stopped bleeding since day 2. When I questioned about it, they said women store estrogen in our fat and the rapid weightloss is probably what's causing the period.

I havent weighed myself since surgery, but I can see a difference! It's been so hard for me to feel like I'm losing - because I've always associated weightloss with hunger pangs. Hunger pangs don't exists any more! Just thought I'd share with folks who get it. -

I was also sleeved on 11/28. I have a 10 month old, but I've had no lifting restrictions at all. I took it easy the first 4 days and didn't bend over to pick him up, but Monday came and we've been fine. I try to put his weight on my right hand side. Good luck! -

I was sleeved on nov 28, but I am not going to weigh until next Wednesday! Your big numbers have made me excited! Start 375 Pre op lost 11 Surgery I was at 364. I hope to lose 20 pounds or so these first two weeks. I still feel swollen and puffy from surgery still and I'm afraid of being disappointed if I got in the scale now! -
Family, Kids, Vsg, And Hospitals

I'm 5 days out, with a 7, 5 and 10 month old - I did not see my kids the day of surgery - i was way to out of it. They did come for a short visit the next day, I stayed two nights, but it was unnecessary. If your sister can come for the kids, and you can have your spouse there, then that's best case scenario. -
I was sleeved 11/28. I'm at home, drinking Clear liquids well. I'm just so darn sore, ESP. At the belly button incision. I'm taking levison as needed to help get the liquids in easier. The shoulder pain is unreal as well. As far as moving, I think as long as you are not laying all day it's good. Can only do what you can do, ya know? Good luck!

Sleeved In Mexicali! Warning: Really Long ;)
Butlersh replied to starlet's topic in Mexico & Self-Pay Weight Loss Surgery
I have never heard of them doing a spinal for this surgery...any insight on why? Sounds like a great experience! My date is tomorrow, nervous but ready! Congrats on the amazing weightloss!! -
Surgery is two days away - freaking out. Worse case scenario - what if I get stomach cancer 10 years down the road? The cure is removing the stomach! I will have no stomach to remove! I am going to need some serious sedation these next two days.
-
Oh I know I'm being Completely illogical here - and I was saying like, cancer unrelated to surgery. But it is good to know they are removing the part that is typically affected!

Hmm, I'd say your fine but I don't know much. I can eat up until 6 pm the day before, then clear liquids from 6-12am and nothing after midnight.
