Deep tissue is clear, I'm on antibiotics, antifungal and back on pain meds. The button that I can press every 6 mins. It's morphine. I am at Maryview hospital Portsmouth VA. Also where I had it done. I'm just in the rare group that this happens to. I haven't had a good day since surgery 1-6. Hopefully once this clears up no more issues.

I'm going in for a ct scan soon. They are going to see how bad the infection is. I was find out if I have to have surgery to remove it.

My infection is worse and I have new holes my skin is rotting. Being admitted to the hospital. We shall see what happens.

I am being admitted right now. My infection is spreading and my skin is making its own holes. The Dr wants to scan my belly and possibly put me under and clean everything out.

Well drs appt tomorrow. My incision site looks the same but I noticed tonight the area has changed my skin looked weird and I realized after touching it its not attached its sliding around and I have these new markings looks like a purple circle.with something on the middle. 2 of them. After changing gauze it pulled my skin off:(. And what do I find after cleaning the spots...holes 2 HOLES!!!! they have started to leak like the incision. Does this mean my body is eating at itself? Worse thing that I've thought of is MRSA.

I'm on a 10 day antibiotic. I fear stuffs gotten worse. I went to clean my belly tonight and I noticed my skin looked weird. It's coming off it ended up peeling back and underneath there were these marks that for lack of better description looked like canker sores. After final cleaning they are holes. Fricken HOLES. They have started leaking like my lapro incision. Drs appt tomorrow.

I am an infection and I have to heal with.an open wound now.

Yes its been hurting horrible since surgery. The Dr just kept assuring me that was the incision the stomach came through and had stretched muscle. She saw me Thursday said everything was fine by Saturday I was swelling up again, by Sunday I was really red. The wound has to be left open to heal from the inside out. And my Dr expects my fiance to do it. It has to be repacked with the medicated gauze twice a day. We did it a few hours ago but I pretty much had to be held down. The gauze has to be shoved in with sterile qtips. Because of the way they did it at the drs office I believe it has caused anxiety attacks.

I know I sound like a negative nilly on here. I am just one of the few that have had horrible luck. I have to do another leak test tomorrow. Hope all you other sleevers are doing well.

I found out I have an infection today. I got up to take a shower once I was in stuff started shooting out of my incision. Needsless to say I had a small meltdown. The doc ripped the incision open squeezed everything out and packed it with medicated gauze. They didnt numb anything or tell me they were about to do that. I was freaking out. The Dr kept telling me I can't do this if you don't calm down. I felt so dumb. Now I have to change the gauze at home did it once so far and I almost had a panic attack. I told my Dr constantly the incision hurts horribly and she told me it was just bc they pulled the stomach through. She checked me Thursday and by Sat I was red and swollen. I believe I had infection then.

As of today I have an infection. I went to shower and looked down and bloody looking puss was shooting out of me and I had a meltdown. Went to the dr and she lays me on the table and says let me take a look at it. Then starts to squeeze the stuff out. She used a tool to rip the incision open. Then shoved gauze inside using sterile qtips. None of this was sedated. Yes I yelled and squirmed and cried. Now I have to repack at home twice a day. My anxiety is so high I had a meltdown before my roomie and fiancee could even touch me. This sleeve process has been miserable I knew it wasn't going to be a walk in park but I would rather be fat than go through this. I havent had one good day since 1-16.

My incision started shooting stuff out of it today. Sitting at the drs office. It was shooting out like a water gun.

I'm tired of being in pain. Ugh

I'm just having a lot of issues with pain.I feel like this far out I shouldn't hurt this bad. I have one incision that's giving me a lot of pain. Thurs my doc made me get up from exam table on my own from laying.down and my swelling is back. I'm trying my abdominal binder and icepacks. But honestly I'm miserable and at this point regret doing this. Everyone keeps saying oh you have never had surgery before or had kids. Ok I would still like to be able to put my own pants on.....I haven't even had a full nights sleep since 1-16. I would love to sleep in my own bed.

Finally sweet relief! The incision that has been burning like its on fire has stopped. Just sore now. Fyi to all the pre sleevers a heating pad and abdominal binder will be your friend lol. I did ice gel packs the first few days due to swelling. The heating pad helped with the gas stuck in my chest and helps with being sore. The abdominal binder helps with sagging and pulling. Luckily I was glued. I was able to shower immediately and no special care.

I'm ok. Still not sleeping but the burning in the one incision has stopped. That turned into major soreness though but on the plus side the pain meds actually are working now. My surgeon prescribed me zanex to try to help me relax. Luckily I don't have stiches I was glued. Think of it as sterile superglue. It's pretty cool. I could shower immediately.

Had a one week follow up today. She said everything looks great but I still feel crappy. The incision my stomach came out of is so sore. Following up again in one week. I can't wait til I can do everything on my own again. I havent slept more than 2 hours in a week. [ATTACH]8575[/ATTACH]

Approved surgery done 1-16... I guess no one lives in va lol.

Omg today has been rough. Even with the morphine and tylenol iv I still have a lot of pain. I had bad nausea and threw up Water from my ice chips. That hurt! Surgery was just about an hour. Everyone here at the hospital has been awesome. I'm supposed to go home tomorrow. With all this pain I'm surprised. At each incision I have a bruise the size of a softball.

I had surgery 1-16. As of the past few days I'm finally able to get up and down on my own. But I wouldn't be able to without my abdominal binder. My belly button has finally shown its face today lol. My stomach was so swollen it was hidden. I have one incision that hurts horribly. It keeps me from doing a lot. But I will say everyday I have felt better. Expect to gain almost 10 lbs in water weight while in the hospital. I went in at 263.5 came out at 270 and today I'm 252. I'm on liquids til Feb 10th ( cream soups pudding yogurt protein shakes) after that I can add seafood chicken and eggs some veggies. After 5 weeks from surgery. I will see the dietician to see what my new diet is.

Yah that sounds like a lot. I was 270 due to fluids when I got home the 17th. Today I am 252.
