  1. Hey guys, I'm a little over 3 weeks out from my surgery - had it done on 11/28. For the last week or week and a half I have been in an almost constant state of nausea. The last few days I've actually started gagging and spitting up a little phlegm and some yellowy stuff. Even thinking of food makes me start gagging, same with Water. My doctor and case adviser both say its normal. If it is normal - do you guys have any tips to stop the nausea or when it goes away? Thanks. Jason

    Nausea

Not sure what thrush is. Also I am still on puréed and smooth foods. I haven't moved on because of this.

    Wits end

Thanks guys. Part of the problem is I don't have a doctor or NUT. I did my surgery in Mexico. Ill make an appt with my doctor here and see what he says. Can probably at least get a NUT. To be clear the nausea comes and goes for the last week or so.
  4. Hi guys. I had my sleeve on Nov 28 and am into week 3 and I have to say I'm super down in the dumps. I've lost 40lbs but I don't feel any better. The knee pain has gotten worse, I'm nauseous all the time. I have no idea how or what to eat and I'm having nightmares about food. Tonight I was doing dishes after having my 3 oz of mashed potatoes and I just started vomiting. But it wasn't food it was yellowy green bile almost and tasted awful. Have no idea why that happened. I'm just depressed, still in pain, afraid of food and generally miserable with my decision. Any words of encouragement would help. Thanks in advance for listening to the complaining.

    Lacking Protein HELP

The Isopure drinks from GNC made me vomit. I'm pretty worried too actually. I'm having a hard time figuring out what to eat when and when to drink. I always feel vomity so I think I'm full but then my stomach is growling something fierce. I feel a little lost.
  6. I'm at 3 weeks too and was going to ask this very same question. I am getting pretty bored of the current stuff so I'm glad to hear there are more options. I have questions about specific stuff... Like is Pasta OK now - because it's so soft. Someone mentioned a lasagna sort of thing, or I was wondering about Mac n cheese? what about egg salad - with non fat mayo? And what kind of chili? Thanks in advance.
  7. I am having my surgery on Nov 28. Insurance denied it so I'm going it alone. I'm doing it in Juarez through a service. I'm 35 and weigh about 360. Ideally I would be down to 200 when all is said and done. I'm extremely nervous and scared and not prepared for the life change. I currently have very bad knees that the doctors tell me is because of my weight so I'm hoping my knee pain goes away. I'm scared to tell anyone. I'm afraid I'm going to fail and then I've ruined my body. I'm afraid it won't work. Complications. Etc. I know this is last minute jitters. Is this something everyone goes through?
